I think people in early human tribes thought differently than your average individualistic, post modern narcissist. A strong community would have included you and found a use for you in their clan or village. You would have had strong male role models and truly nurturing female role models growing up as a boy, which would have helped you find your place in the community so you could contribute and survive with a sense of real belonging. Today's neighborhoods and cities are just open air mental asylums that isolate people from nature and healthy community, so it's not feasible to compare what "would have" happened since modern culture goes directly against how humans evolved to connect and thrive with each other in small, intimate bands of warriors/hunters/gatherers. And don't even get me started on how childish tendencies are extended into adulthood in schools and in mommy-knows-best households.
Your story really moved me. I'm kinda like you. In 16 years that I've been alive I had maybe 5 friends. They never really cared about me. That haven't changed to now. As of right now, the only time I'm socialising is when I'm at school. But they are only class mates, sometimes I have a short chat with them and that's it. After school I don't talk with anybody except my family members (On top of that one of them is my autistic brother). I have a lot of hobbies. Yeah the healthcare system here is fucked. You can see how everything is designed to keep you behind from bad credit to the health care system. If something happens to you when you are young like it did to me with my liver, then you get debt which leads to bad credit cause honestly no one has 15,000 (the medical portion of the 30k in debt I am in, the other portion from schooling and borrowing money from friends that they said I don't have to pay back but I feel obligated to) laying around starting out and pay 500$ a month on top of rent, car payment, car insurance, and survival funds is ridiculous so you have to take a hit to your credit and pay them back less than they want at a slower pace. Upon taking a hit to the credit, it makes it hard to find a good job that you can actually afford to pay off the debt because they do the background check and see you have bad credit and don't want to hire you so you have to work these piss poor jobs until its payed off. Here is the loop, more things arise while you are paying off your debt and perpetuate your debt in bad credit until before you know it your 65 and still paying off the debts at a dead end job because you could never clear the credit. I might have to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy and wait 7 years for it to clear because. This isn't cutting it anymore. But you see the loop you can get caught in is dumb and you get stuck there.
yeah maybe you should consider the personal bankruptcy and restart all over for the better, but I know nothing in the subject, so I don't know how bad it can affect your background credit.
