It was likely a “buh” echoic. It is taught so that words like bye could possibly be said in the future. Echoics are used with many nonverbal people. This is referred to as shaping within ABA. Idk if this is the case with Abby though.
Can you change “Dunkin Donuts” to just “Dunkin” on Abby’s IPad? Maybe you’ve already considered it but I was wondering if the automated “Dunkin..Donuts” sounds too much like two separate words? I noticed she seemed excited to tell you how to get there so I feel like she was pressing DD and using it as two words. “Ab, what are you getting?” “Dunkin. Donuts.” Maybe? I don’t know, you guys are the pros so maybe I should just keep my mouth shut 😂 love to see her using her IPad so much though, communication has come sooo far just in the last year!

I had the same thought! Since the word donut is so stimulating for her, it seems like she was having a hard time distinguishing between the location of Dunkin Donuts and the act of getting a donut. Tempered glass screen protectors are life savers. I've never had a broken screen, just a chipped or cracked protector, but the actual screen is perfect. Also... ABA DOES WORK! :D

My son 6 and I just watched your video and he had questions and I was trying to explain but maybe you can do a better job then me. Keep up the great work guys, teaching us and me how autism works. First off, my mom used to braid my hair all of the time after I showered in little braids for it to be "crimped" before they came out with the crimping iron. If you cut the fern off the pineapple and store the pineapple upsidedown overnight in a dish in the fridge, the pineapple will be extra juicy.
This does not work. I have seen a video disproving this. The pineapple gets mouldy within 4 days if not within 7 days.
