If you have an iPhone, it’s not going to work. The iOS app has a bug where it doesn’t find the network. I emailed the developer about it. I had do the initial set up with an old android phone that I have, then log in on my iPhone and now it’s working. Good luck.
My opener follows all steps, but does not ask for a password to my WiFi, then eventually says not connected or something went wrong. Not sure how to get it to ask for the password. It will never connect with out it.

Yeah I believe it has to be 2.4 ghz and have a good signal. Luckily I have a mesh wi-fi setup so I can move one of the routers closer to the garage if needed.
Had to reset my wifi name/pw and when I went to reconnect the opener to the app it no longer finds my wifi points and says there's no 2.4GHz avail? Any idea on troubleshooting?
@@rogerpedrosa1854 Ended up resolving by calling their helpdesk. Apparently they have a username and pw stored on their side that you have to ensure is accurate and matches your app signon. Once they're synched my wifi popped up correctly and was able to pair. Good luck!

You could see if there's an update to the app. I haven't seen that issue with mine. You could also try to delete it and add again or uninstall the app and reinstall it to see if that fixes it.
I just got a extra shop somewhat close to my house but since there’s only one bar of internet it won’t connect is there any way out of needing internet the company said it would work great after we got that setup

i think as long as your garage door opener has the myq logo on it, it should work, i'd probably try to connect your gate opener to your wifi to see if it works through the app
But what you failed to mention is once you set your garage door to open using MyQ, your visor remote control switches will never work again. Seems you can't have both WiFi and remote switches work together. Have to give one up.

After setting garage door name and clicking next the app cannot go past that part it's so frustrating, did it 50 times can't get past that part. Says an error has occurred
google makes money by tracking you around and sending you all kind of ads and annoying spam calls.. they don't need your little money.. they already know your bank account and password.. you authorized a blank check when you downloading their apps and agreed on their terms...LOL

not sure about that one, i haven't had any issues with mine. Have you tried to make your wifi name and password the same as your old wifi? If it's different then you may have to reset it and do everything over again.

We have tried the getting out a ladder and trying to connect by pressing the button on the ceiling unit, calling and chatting with customer service (which is a joke). The company that installed it doesn’t know how to program them. So frustrating.
hmm, tough to say because there's so many different models and variations of how its setup, i'm just lucky mine was pretty simple to setup and still works pretty good

i wonder if the wifi connection is too weak, you may want to create a connection using your phone's hotspot to see if it stays connected. If so i would look at a wifi extender or move your router closer to the garage.
Can you open the garage door slightly? I need to air out from time to time looking for one that has the option to stop the garage door opening.

I found a video that lets iPhone connect. You have to factory reset the actual unit to clear out the security setting. It just worked for me.

When you go by step it will show what is your internet ID on the phone you should pick ID first and password for next.

Pop the light cover on the opener and you'll see buttons there and also you'll find the model

No I think you just add another door within the app but I only have 1 door so I can't test it.

Your best bet is to add a wifi extender in your shop so you have WiFi out there.

Some routers default to 5G. MyQ only operates on 2.4. I was able to connect after I switched the band.

That beeping sounds annoying, can you disable the sound?
If you can find the speaker, a some duct tape will usually quiet it down.

Doesn't work on 8550 liftmaster.
They ask me for serial numbers they need 10 numbers and they 11 numbers in the box.
Mine seems to connect but it never asks for my password.
maybe your wifi is not setup with a password?
My problem is that it keeps buffering not even the wifi wants to pop up
You may need to adjust your WiFi router closer to the garage to get a better signal

Instructions only apply to 1 type of wall opener.
I take it doesn't work for lift masters from 10 plus years ago.
