I agree w/ not buying special PJs! Anything that is worn out becomes my PJs. Never really considered the idea of clothes to live in at any time of day, but I love it!
Love all of these. Just wanna say it for the newbie out there... It's ok to have color in your wardrobe. So many minimalists and people interested in small wardrobes tend to like basics and neutrals, which is fine but you can totally have bright colored pieces if that's what makes your heart happy. Make your own fashion color palette rules, don't feel stuck in a box. If you like white t-shirts great. If you're like me and hate white t-shirts but love a bright colorful floral pattern top and wear it with everything including purple pants, also great! Haha PJs are a good way to declutter. I guess some people enjoy sleeping in no clothes as well. Personally I love my two nightgown dresses. They are comfortable and could be wearable in public with leggings if I wanted to, but I like sleeping in short dresses way more than going out in them. ❤️
Omgosh I feel like I'm watching someone talking about my life. I dont purchase everything you just listed. I especially dont understand the excess pillows on the bed deal! BTW I love the intro and I noticed you are reading Where The Crawdads Sing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Love this vlog and can't wait to see the hair cut. I no longer buy heels or special event outfits. I love hanging out in the house wearing cosy thick socks instead of slippers. I agree with you on the ridiculous amount of cushions some people have on their bed. Why??? I don't see the sense of removing them every night to have them lying around only to be replaced on the bed again in the morning. 😍
I don't own classic PJs, but clothes, that I (mostly) wear when I sleep. In winter they keep my body warm (in a more comfortable way that a thicker bedding would) and in summer they take on some sweat and I don't feel sticky beneath the blanket. They also kind of set the mood for bed time for me :) But sure, I also run around in them before or after bed, sometimes a couple of hours. They are still quite versatile :D
If you turn your mattress it will wear more evenly and last longer. Some cannot be turned right over to the other side. If yours is like this, just move it top to bottom every couple of weeks.
As someone who lives in a cold weather climate, I have winter socks instead of slippers. They're two layers which are still slim enough to slip into my winter boots but thick enough to keep my feet warm when I'm moving around the house. I've just never cared for slippers.
Those bedsheets sound amazing! I am looking to see if I can find similar ones in my area. Great video! I have been trying to put up a similar video for ages, but always forget to do it 🤣 This is a good reminder for me to do so
I love the side tables you have. They're beautiful! I like PJs. They set my "time for bed" mood, you know? Part of the rotine. But when I travel, I don't bring any. 😄
Can't wait to see your first haircut! You are looking great! Gypsy sniffing your socks haha my Venus tries to pull on mine and stop me from putting them on lol
I love when I sleep and I roll on my bed and have a cushion on all sides lmao. I’m guilty but I love pillows! But I don’t take mine off at night, idk why ppl do? Mine don’t get messed up.
I use to always want a bunch of pillows when I was a teenager, now as an adult I don't want decorative pillows at all. I'm way to frugal and honestly too lazy for all that lol
Where did you get your sheets? I’ve been on the hunt for new ones since my dog ripped up mine up. Also, any ideas of what to do with my ripped up sheets? They are organic cotton (from Pact), but not thick or soft enough to make something like face cleansing pads out of. They are actually thin and crinkly. :(
I live in Scandinavia and I'm almost always barefoot in my apartment, all year round! I totally agree its healthier and comfier, but I do have some fuzzy socks for those winter nights when it gets too cold
Some of us are not made with green thumbs. I even managed to kill a cactus PLANT!! I decided to ditch the high heels since I walk fast and trip a lot. I'd like to make it until 2022 at least!
High Heels? You have legs for days, but if I was as tall as you, I would have rocked a stiletto in my day. Last year I rid of all heels, work attire and my wallet. Now I am back in t-shirts, jeans, Vans, hoodies and for two years have no longer cut or dyed my hair, just like I was when I was 18. BTW, I finished all my Aveda hair care and am a HiBar gal, thanks Rebecca for the recommendation.
Good video, Rebecca! :) I absolutely agree with almost everything except slippers, especially decorative pillows on the bed and high heels. I would love to go barefoot, but my apartment is so cold - all year (basement apartment, so not warm enough in the winter, and very cold air conditioning in summer) - that I usually wear at least two pairs of socks! Plus my Crocs. Also, my feet need support - I wear orthotics in my shoes. But I have the heart of a barefoot gal. ;) ♥
@@RebeccaSisson actually, I have inside Crocs and outside Crocs. LOL! I use my outside ones in the garden, so they get too dirty to wear inside. And everywhere else outside, I wear my running shoes (sneakers).
Wasn't there a bigger plant by the kitchen too? 🌱🙂 I'm guilty of the sheets (8+ .. but it's flannels and cotton/"bamboo" - that is a guilty pleasure of mine, I will pare down eventually).

LOL...Can’t ditch the slippers. A must have from November -March. Still loving those end tables.

So far I loooooove it!
@@RebeccaSisson it's hard to believe it's her debut novel.

Same!
"I don't want to buy clothes that are specifically for the time that I'm unconscious " ---that hit me! Isn't it true?
You can also do 2 ponytail on top. They will look cute on you. Dont worry . your still beauriful

Love this list and am on board 90%...slippers are non-negotiable. Plantar fasciitis requires support.
Wow your hair's really growing! Looks great!
Thank you! I can’t believe it’s been almost a year!

Finally found another minimalist channel which I really love !! Thanx for the amazing content.
I agree with almost everything I have to say I love my pillows and my pjs.
"High heels. I just don't want to."
Me. 😆
Always love your videos. ❤
Right?!

Motivating in so many ways!! Love it.
So cool.
I was planing to minimize a bit my room, speCially my closet and this video was very motivational.
Thanks
Thank you for watching!
We only have one set of sheets and I’d been feeling like it was an adult fail. Thanks for the reframe!
Really you were just being sustainable all along 😜

The video was super interesting and I completely agree! 👍
But... tbh... my favourite part was the scene with the dog! 😍
I like the little pony tail Rebecca! 😄

I have also killed a cactus before. Brown thumb for sure!
That funny, lol I have a bedside table with 3 drawers in it and since I'm a minimalist all my clothes fit in it.

Any chance you have a link for your sheets? I'm in the market for something like what you described.
Ditto!
Same. Would like a link if possible.
The exact set I have are no longer available, but check out Coyuchi and Parachute home:

First thing I thought, was wow, her hair looks cute. heehee

Yes, good memory! I was plant sitting for a friend for several months.
Is you hair thicker growing out after this buzz cut?
Honestly it feels exactly the same.
