I have never tried it but apparently makeup geek's gel eyeliner, immortal is extremely water proof and it's actually really hard to get off. If you don't want black stuff in the corners of your eyes, the more water resistant, the better! :)

If I try it right after the crease, the wing pretty much sticks straight out at the corners of my eye. So frustrating, since my eyes are downturned and I want them to come up in the outer corner.

Maybe your expectations are too high? If by cakey you mean up close it looks like you're wearing foundation - but the look appears smooth - then that's probably what hers looks like. Most foundations look like foundation up close.
An oily face is actually a dehydrated face. Stick with drinking loads of water with lemon and lime chopped into it. Also try priming your skin with Laura Mercers Oil-free primer or just a serum, which ever works best for your skin. You could also be using far too much foundation/powder or the wrong kind of powder. The Rimmel Stay-Matte powder is really nice. And like Katherine said, most foundations will look like foundation up-close, there's no avoiding that. Loreal's magic-lumi (Or something along those lines) is really great for a foundation that looks like skin, as is the Urban Decay Naked foundation. Applying these with a damp beauty-blender in moderation works with nearly every client I've come across. Setting sprays work wonders as well. You can make your own with bottled water, glycerin, Vitamin E caplets, and witchhazel. A tablespoon of each (More glycerin if it comes out to dry or more witch-hazel if it comes out too oily) and one caplet. Personally for my skin I use half a table spoon of Glycerin to a table-spoon of witchhazel.

Hi Jaclyn!!! I own most of the MakeUp Geek eye shadows you own so I'm able to try out most of the looks you show us; however, sometimes you use MAC or other brands of eye shadows that I don't own. Do you think you could compare some of those eyeshadows to MakeUp Geek's or vice versa so those of us who don't own those specific shadows still have an alternative and a chance to achieve your looks? I have the same problem! I'm just trying to resign myself to the fact that I will never be able to do awesome eyeliner or awesome eye makeup in general. I will usually just tightline and leave it at that... And most days I just wear mascara and wiggle it really deep into my lashes. The "hooded" eyelid struggle is real!
i heard the anastasia eyeshadows are going to be $14... i might just be cheap but that seems a little expensive to me for one pan (esp including shipping) i wish companies would realize not everyone is made out of money and some of us struggle. wahh lol.

does anyone else have the problem where you wing/line the inner corner of the eye and through out the day it smudges really badly or the liner starts to "goop" in your tear duct? anyone have tips to prevent this?
Just try not to connect your lines all the way in. Let your top eyeliner fade into your water line and your water line don't push it into the year duct
set it with black eyeshadow!! even my plain lash line pencil eyeliner smudges like you wouldn't believe without eyeshadow or something to set it, so especially with liquid liner in a moist area like that will be prone to smudge. so please try setting it with eyeshadow it was my life saver when i learned this trick.
try to use a really light hand and try not to apply too much... this tends to irritate the inner section of the eye which causes your eyes to water and produce the smudge and not so clean sharp inner wing. hope this helped
It's just so crazy you use enough products but it doesn't look like it in the end your skin is so beautiful!!! I try foundation and it just looks disgusting no matter what I do or what I use :( sucks being ugly ughhhhhh. This look is beautiful!!!
Don't feel bad! UA-cam makeup artists have a big set up of special lighting behind the camera that airbrushes the look of the face and everything! I can almost guarantee that every youtubers makeup looks a lot different in natural light!

you could try taking a paper towel or tissue and blotting up all the moisture before you set your foundation/bb cream with powder. Good luck.

does anyone else have the problem where you wing/line the inner corner of the eye and through out the day it smudges really badly or the liner starts to "goop" in your tear duct? anyone have tips to prevent this?
Just try not to connect your lines all the way in. Let your top eyeliner fade into your water line and your water line don't push it into the year duct
set it with black eyeshadow!! even my plain lash line pencil eyeliner smudges like you wouldn't believe without eyeshadow or something to set it, so especially with liquid liner in a moist area like that will be prone to smudge. so please try setting it with eyeshadow it was my life saver when i learned this trick.

try to use a really light hand and try not to apply too much... this tends to irritate the inner section of the eye which causes your eyes to water and produce the smudge and not so clean sharp inner wing. hope this helped
It's just so crazy you use enough products but it doesn't look like it in the end your skin is so beautiful!!! I try foundation and it just looks disgusting no matter what I do or what I use :( sucks being ugly ughhhhhh. This look is beautiful!!!

Don't feel bad! UA-cam makeup artists have a big set up of special lighting behind the camera that airbrushes the look of the face and everything! I can almost guarantee that every youtubers makeup looks a lot different in natural light!

Montsergirl ikr! i've tried so many things and by the time i'm done doing it, it looks alright far away but when you get like a foot away from my face it looks cakey as HELL.

Since you have a list of possible vids to do maybe you could do more than 1 a week. They don't all have to be tutorials. Some grwm using different colors would be nice. I know you like to do stuff that works for everybody but truthfully I will still watch even if it is something I wouldn't or couldn't wear.

I don't think they're uneven I think the one brow starts more angular and points inwards while the other is slanted outwards :)
