Okay this NEEDS to be said. People need to stop being so harsh on Jackie. Constructive criticism is great and I'm sure she appreciates people's feedback because she cares about what we want to see but there is absolutely no need to hate and say 'ugh you only do this' and 'why do you always use these colours? It's the same boring shit as always' - like woah why so rude? In case you haven't realised you don't pay her to give you personalised tutorials (I mean technically your views contribute to her income but that's because UA-cam pays her, not your bank account). So calm down. Some of you act like you deserve certain things from her or you're entitled to certain things and she has to meet your standards when she's the one providing you with a free service.

Jaclyn - Love watching your videos but I wish you would do some that caters to those of us with hooded eyes. So many of your looks are beautiful but for me it's more difficult and cannot do a wing liner. Is there a way to do a wing liner with hooded eyes?? Thanks for another great video! OX Laura

I agree, I would love to see a tutorial for hooded eyes...
I also have hooded eyes and would try to mimic Jaclyn's gel liner look but found that the wing would get covered by my upper eye and then it gets smeared. So what I try to do now is keep a relaxed face and be sure to keep the liner on the lid and not bring it up too much. And when I get to the wing, I try to stop myself from tugging at that corner so much because when you tug, that hood will cover the wing. So I keep the relaxed face and draw my line right under the hood...if that made any sense. Lol its pretty hard to explain but no tugging and relaxed face is key! Hope this helps.

I loooove all of Jaclyn's looks, but never looks the same because of my dreaded hoods!haha I've started uploading my own tutorials on my channel if you wanna check it out for some ideas! I'll be posting more for variety of course in time. We gotta stick together!ha ;o)
the way doing eyeliner for hooded eyes is you need to elongate your liner then only wing it, so u bring it to outer corner then even further, straight, then wing...... practice till you do it perfect, everyone is born with different eyes hahahahaha. I have hooded eyes and i do it this way.

Hey Billie, obvi I'm not Jaclyn lol, but a looooot of people ask her about her hair color. I believe her stylist mixes dyes at the salon to create a custom and professional quality shade. Doesn't use a box dye from the drugstore. Hope this helps :)

Everyone does goofy faces. She does alot of tutorials right now, oh well. She might of done the same inner corner technique has Nicole but maybe she just liked it and wanted to show people who havent seen it. Most makeup looks are the SAME THING with different colors. Different eye shapes do different things, maybe your eye shape isnt like hers and you get mad she doesnt do videos that apply to you. Well thats why theres thousands of other beauty gurus who do videos for hooded eyes. Shes not superwoman. I dont get why Jacyln gets so much damn hate, just dont watch her.

Do you guys also remember when Jaclyn made the 90s grunge video? Not to bring hate upon Nicole, but I have a feeling she is purposely copying others, not sure if she does this when she has a problem with someone..I dont know if Jaclyn and Nicole are still friends or not, but after Jaclyn's grunge video, she was wearing one of those 90's choker necklaces..
And then Nicole made a video a few days later wearing the choker..
And before, Nicole and Carli did not really like each other, they were in competition with one another.. now they are friends but, I remember Nicole and Carli would NUMEROUS TIMES, post similiar things, one time they both posted a kylie jenner video at the same time and that brought drama so carli did not upload hers.

Hey Jaclyn, I hope you would take some of our viewers advices and spice up your videos a bit more, like first impressions, reviews etc. Or make a new series of your own, i do love your make-up tutorials and i know you've said you do those the best but these tutorials are repetitive, blend, conceal powder. I'm a loyal subscriber and love everything you do with your eye makeup! However, it's so difficult to replicate on myself because I have very hooded eyes.

Sorry if you've already answered this, but how do you keep your hair the same color for so long. I remember even Ariana Grande said it was super difficult to keep up with the red hair, she had to constantly dye it, and that's the reason why she always has an updo because of the damage. Your hair seems healthy and always the right kind of red. When I dyed mine red, it turned orange in a week.
My friend had the same problem but she decided to get it professionally done at the salon and she only washed every couple of days and when she wasn't washing it she put it in a shower cap
But Jaclyn has had hers for a long time now. I use to wash my hair ever other day, but it still washes out. The color just bleeds and bleeds in the shower. Even when I dyed it back to black, you can still see the red coming out, like my hair rejects red or something. haha...
Ivy Yang I am a cosmetologist, and it all depends on the kind of shampoo and conditioner that you use. Red is one of the easiest colors to fade in hair color, so you have to use a professional shampoo and conditioner to get it to last. If you are using Tresemme, Pantene, anything that you can get at a drugstore, that won't help your hair color stay. It is actually stripping the color out of your hair and drying it out because of the sulfate and alcohol in it. Go to a salon and buy your shampoo and conditioner. Yes, it is more expensive, but it lasts you SO much longer than drugstore shampoo's. Wella, Sebastian, Rusk, Biolage, Matrix, Redkin, any professional brand like that will be SO MUCH better for your hair! :) Also, if you are using box dye, you will never get the true color that you want. Box dyes will create more damage to your hair and will also give you a color that won't last! Trust me, I've been there, done that, but now that I am a cosmo, I know why all of this is happening! Hope this helps! :)
Only use cold water on your hair and I wouldn't even wash it every other day maybe like every 3 days I had my hair red for about a month till it started getting orangy
And personally I think it has slightly changed over time, it's not exactly the same. That will happen each time you color and as it fades

Can you please do a tutorial on how to keep makeup for dry skin on for 8-9 hours? I have dry skin and I can only use moisturizing foundations but by the fourth hour at work my skin looks blotchy and powdery up close. I do use hourglass primer
The cetaphil cream works wonders! I normally apply mine about 15mins before I apply my make up (I drink coffee meanwhile 😜) and then I spray on some Mac fix plus spray and them the foundation and I feel like it makes a dramatic difference since my skin gets so dry in the winter!
***** That is actually the exact moisturizer that I use, but Im looking to find a way to prolong my makeup even though I have dry skin in the winter and Im on medication that dries my skin out. Ive tried primers and some I just cant use because the make my face feel tight, so I feel a little out of options
I also have super dry skin. Mine is dry but also really flaky so I have the exact same issues as you. While I'm sure Jaclyn would be able to offer better advice as a pro, I can offer up what works for me :) Typically before I apply my makeup, I not only wash my face, but I exfoliate. I use Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser to wash my face, then I use Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub. It helps slough off all those flaky patches, but it's gentle enough that you can use it every day if need be. Then I pat dry and apply my lotion, which for me is Eucerin Intensive Repair for Very Dry Skin. It is very rich and extremely moisturizing, plus it's fragrance free which is great for those of us who are sensitive to fragrance. It's not marketed as a facial lotion, and I am sure they do have one for the face, but this is what I bought for my fiance when his hands get really dry and cracked, so I use it on my face, too and it works wonders. If you do go that route though, the only thing I would say is to let the moisturizer have time to set in to your skin, maybe 15 or 20 minutes, then pat your face with a clean cloth or clean paper towel as it can leave you a bit oily (though some days for me, that's a welcome change!) The particular foundation I use is Maybelline Fit Me in the lightest shade, which I apply using clean fingers, then buff it in with a clean brush and go over with a damp Beauty Blender. Lasts about 8 hours with minimal wear and never gets patchy, dry, or blotchy :)
brittany begley Although I do have dry skin from medication, it isn't necessarily flakey because I do exfoliate a lot and the medicine has really good cell turn over. but blotting off moisturizer does sound like a good idea. I should try the fit me but its just so hard to find a pale enough foundation for my skin. My skin usually looks okay when Im not at work but I am under bad lights all day and I kinda do strenuous activity( I scoop ice cream at Disneyland) I just cant use long wearing foundation because my skin doesn't like it in the beginning of my day and I cant wear moisturizing foundation because my skin looks blotchy by the end of the night. I just cant win

You can still do a wing and just bring it to the middle of your eye or 1/4th in instead of all the way to the inner corner! That's what I do for hooded eye girls! ;)

Most likely you won't read my comment or you just won't care, but I have to say that you look so beautiful without makeup! You also look your age; with make up you look much older! When I first saw you without make up, I thought: 'Oh, this girl is in her twenties! I thought she is 30+ when she has a full face of make up on!' Don't get me wrong, your technique in makeuo is perfect, and the way your looks turn out to be is amazing and so creative and flattering, but I just feel the excessive use of lashes and the very sculpted brow look could sometimes overwhelm the beautiful eyedhadow you do, and take away from your natural beauty! This is honestly a friendly comment; you are great!

I don't think it was a negative comment at all. It's true she's beautiful with or without makeup and her technique is amazing. sahel fakhar ***** Actually in Asian countries like Korea they utilize make-up to make themselves look younger, so no it's not the make-up she's using but HOW she's using it. If she didn't arch her eyebrows and they were straighter she'd look innocent, if she didn't contour and kept her face pale she'd look younger. It's just how you use it, but I like trying different styles and I honestly think it suits her red hair. She looks dashing.

Jaclyn, I normally do not read the comments on your videos because I just think you are absolutely wonderful and your makeup looks are always on point so I do not care what the masses say...I happened to browse through for some reason and I cannot believe the childish, petty, catty BS people feel they're entitled to spew at you. You are absolutely delightful and I hope you do not take any of that to heart. Just wanted to say your videos are like mini therapy sessions for me..I'm a stay-at-home-mom who lost her "swag" and def needed a Makeup 101 training..this channel has been that and SO MUCH MORE!! You're awesome and so fun to watch..I feel like I'm hanging with my girlfriend at her house..you've created a monster..I've fallen in love with feeling pretty again..I bought the Jaclyn's Gems lip products from GC and just received them today!! I honestly don't get the "she does the same looks all the time" comments. I feel like the only thing that's the same is the products you use like the Giorgio Armani foundation and your Sigma E40 and things like that. Your looks are so different and so creative. At the end of your videos I'm in awe of how talented you are. You're an incredible makeup artist and person Jaclyn! Love ya :)

I agree with some of these ladies here who commented before me. She's honestly just giving those subscribers who wanted this tutorial what they wanted, and she clearly said she has other looks in store. If you don't like her channel anymore then you can always quietly unsubscribe and carry on with your evening. At the end of the day, this is simply a video of a woman sharing with us her techniques and knowledge. She's human just like everyone else here. Instead of bashing each other, let show a little humanity. We all have different opinions and thats perfectly okay. Be nice ladies! Sheesh.

Lol, you're so cute Jaclyn! That Bengal eyeshadow is pronounced like "ban-gle." The little things you do and say, and the little mistakes on pronouncing things is so cute to me. IDK even care, it's just awesome because I do the same thing. I pronounce things a little wrong all the time and my Hubby's like, wth where did you go to school, and I'm like "Ugh, don't judge." First tutorial video i watched and your skin without make up is beyond flawless! Some beauty gurus I watched their face isn't as clear cuz of acne scars or pimples.. but your is so clear skin routine!! Are u dry or oily skin? U look beautiful with make up too :)
Shes dry most of the time. But sometimes shes oily.
she's alwaaaaaaaays dryy...and in the winter EXTRA dry :p that's why she loves the dewy looks soo much :)

FYI I ordered from Lena Lashes on 17 November, and she keeps emailing me saying they will ship "soon" and nothing....just a warning for those considering purchasing these for the holidays...I am not the only one, there are several ladies that ordered theirs and have not received their orders. She marked mine as shipped on 3 December with no intentions of shipping them, at least that's what she told me via email. She said the ones I ordered were out of stock...but they are still available for purchase on the website, why would you mark as shipped knowing you dont have the product on hand?
