  • Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel! Join me while I cook the famous Haitian white bean sauce #sospwa blan).. now I'm not saying it's the only way to make it, I'm just sharing the way I Melissa make mine, with what I have on hand...
    RECIPE:
fill your pot halfway, bring dried beans to a boil, add in 3 pressed garlic, 1/2 of that orange bell pepper along with the scallion, once cooked, add some of the cooked beans, scallion, garlic, bell pepper and liquid to your blender and puree away lol, once pureed pour it to the remaining liquid with the cooked beans. Now you may add maggie cube, thyme & parsley, salt, butter, cocunut milk and cover let it simmer until it thickens. and voila!
1lb of dried northern #white beans
1/2 of scallion or green onion
    1/2 orange bell pepper
    3 pressed garlic
    thyme& parlsey
    2 maggie cube
1/2 coconut milk or creamed coconut
    1/4 teaspoon of salt
    1/2 teaspoon of butter
    WHITE RICE:
first and foremost wash to remove excess starch
    2 cups of water
    3 cups of rice
    4 pressed garlic
    2 tablespoon of olive oil
    1/4 teaspoon of salt
    CHICKEN
    *remove skin( optional)
*wash with vinegar and lime or sour orange
*rinse out and pour boiling hot water to further disinfect( how Haitians prepare any kind of meat, don't debate us lol)
    *1/4 teaspoon of salt
    *black pepper
    *2 maggie cube
    *paprika( optional)
*2 tablespoon of haitian epis (recipe coming soon)
*1 tablespoon of spicy pepper paste( i prefer it over tomato paste)
*mix it all in, you may leave it overnight to marinate( optional) or cook the same day on medium to low heat
*once cooked you have the option to either fry it or bake it.
*do not throw away the liquid the chicken had rendered, this will be our "gravy"
garnish with onion, bell peppers, parsley

Wow that chicken has such a great color on it, a beautiful golden brown. I never wash my rice before I cook it does it make it cook any different?

Tasty video but always aim for commentary in your videos, even if you put it in post production as people always subscribe to personalities.
