And most recently, in Umbrella’s story mode, even though Cerebella hates the Reinor family, she didn’t want to fight nor kill Umbrella since she was a small child. I’m not saying she’s entirely good, but she is good at heart.
Kidnapped Ms Fortune in pieces, killed Cerebella in cold blood, destroyed Double and the Skull Heart, uses Squigly as a Skull Heart alarm clock, made Ms Fortune and Filia as her personal slaves and seeks to conquer the world. There's a reason why people like Darth Vader, the Joker, Thanos and Dracula as villains: they're all entertaining, they have (at least as Vader, Dracula and Joaquin Phoenix's Joker are concerned), sympathetic backstories behind their evil, and most of all, are well written. Eliza, on the other hand, is a backstabing, power-hungry monster who, surprise surprise, was Alex Ajad's (the lead character designer behind Skullgirls), favorite character. Ultimately, is safe to say that Eliza is just a egyptian bimbo who, in any other game, wouldn't have gotten away with killing Cerebella and Squigly and Leviathan; kidnapping, torturing, humilliating and eating Ms. Fortune; and holding Filia and Samson against their wills and threatening to kill the former. It's obvious Eliza is Alex's crush; not even M. Bison story modes are as bleak and brutal. Hell, the only reason Eliza succeeds in her goals is because Alex wanted it to be that way. And people say George Lucas is a bad writer... at least none of his characters were as one-dimensional, overpowered and pathetic as Eliza. And screw Albus and Horace too. Lowbrow sidekicks that would be beaten down pretty easily in any other story. Thank God this isn't canon, because I'm pretty sure that if it was indeed canon, there would be tons of fanfics, mods, and hate webs dedicated to this abomination.

I felt so bad when Squingly and Filia loost but at the same time I cheer for Eliza, if even the villain who killed/beated/tortured ecc so many other characters in the cast, even the most loved ones STILL has many fans it means she's really well written & that no one else could've got a better rule as villain in the story, even her animations and design are beautiful in the game and she deserves it

Eliza really ripped the lore and story a few new ones, more than Annie's story.

Just makes you think what kind of attrocities she is capable of if the people that did what poor Patricia had to go through are still better than her.

Hm, potentially, despite there being sprites of her burning up and disappearing in defeat, there some Story Modes where those aren’t used and we just doesn’t see her again after the Boss Fight, So that could be very possible.

Yeah, the story modes on the mobile version are more like an origin story of the characters. The story modes on this version is basically just all of them trying to get the skullheart to either wish on it or destroy it.

Someone finally shows up who has the power to break the Skullheart's cycle (and not do it through fulfilling its goals like the robots) and people recoil because she's not fluffy and wants to impose her will onto the world? Pathetic. People do realize that the ultimate purpose of any Skullgirl is to become the same as what the Night King is/was in ASOIAF, right? Marie is a far better character than NK because we actually see her while she still has control and we can easily sympathize with her, but that is still her fate and purpose, and the world where any Skullgirl wins would be no different to Westeros where Night King won. Eliza's world is a place where you have to put up with an egomaniac in charge of everything (though the world is already ruled by kingdoms/empires and a mafia, so it's not that big of a change) and some people will be murdered for their blood (though she says Double has already given her everything she needed, so maybe not.) In return, she'll wreck the Skullheart whenever it re-emerges. If you are an ordinary person and not one of the main characters or rulers, Eliza's world is a far safer place to be in than pretty much any other ending.

I gotta say, while I can’t say the same for Eliza’s Story as a whole, it’s Ending might be one of my favorites, ‘cause I really like how in the end it did not go as straight forward as how Double’s Story went, honestly I would really like to see how this Final Fight would go, it would be quite a shame if the surprise appearance of Marie still didn’t amount to much. Speaking of which, where did Marie even come from and how is she still around? Also, there were a lot of things being said in this Story, but I don’t think understood much of Eliza’s Lore.

Oh my god. Eliza was always my least favourite character by far. One thing probably was, I knew nothing about her other than what ive seen from her fighting and lines. I dont think ive seen her appear once in any other story.. But now, after this story.. oh my god I kinda love her?? And this story is so good?? I think its pretty simple. For characters that don't know who she is, she will probably be left to make a new plan. For characters that do.. Either infinite torture or death, since they all hate her.

Is it bad that I like characters like her? Especially if they are winning and are casually showcasing how evil they are? I mean...Hazama from Blazblue (and SF's Juri "to an extent" but nowadays Im more meh towards her after a certain SFXT DLC cinematic) is no different and I love the guy despite how much of a POS he can be. Especially if my favorite characters get attacked....well in some cases (if I like the favorite main characters over the villain then thats a different story).
Finally someone else who gets it! Though I'm not sure it's ironic. If you really think about it, who else is going to be selfish enough to accumulate the power sufficient to challenge a literal deity? The second best choice are the lab heads, and none of them are particularly good either (Avian is maybe alright, but Brain Drain and Valentine also have twisted ethics.) It's interesting that this game, of all things, is so realistic about it.
Not really. I think you can just look at the bigger picture and recognize that in a world ruled by kingdoms which regularly send their people to war for literally no reason and where the second most powerful force is a mafia, a single ruler who would end the infighting and has millennia of experience may not be so bad. This is the world where what seems like the main religion worships a deity which is literally trying to kill all humans every seven years: if that does not prove Eliza's whole point that humans are too stupid to rule themselves, what does?

Eliza's world is a place where you have to put up with an egomaniac in charge of everything (though the world is already ruled by kingdoms/empires and a mafia, so it's not that big of a change) and some people will be murdered for their blood (though she says Double has already given her everything she needed, so maybe not.) In return, she'll wreck the Skullheart whenever it re-emerges. If you are an ordinary person and not one of the main characters or rulers, Eliza's world is a far safer place to be in than pretty much any other ending.
Hm, I think we might just need to see a flashback of sorts to get a glimpse of what that might be like.

I gotta say, while I can’t say the same for Eliza’s Story as a whole, it’s Ending might be one of my favorites, ‘cause I really like how in the end it did not go as straight forward as how Double’s Story went, honestly I would really like to see how this Final Fight would go, it would be quite a shame if the surprise appearance of Marie still didn’t amount to much.

I think you can just look at the bigger picture and recognize that in a world ruled by kingdoms which regularly send their people to war for literally no reason and where the second most powerful force is a mafia, a single ruler who would end the infighting and has millennia of experience may not be so bad.
This is the world where what seems like the main religion worships a deity which is literally trying to kill all humans every seven years: if that does not prove Eliza's whole point that humans are too stupid to rule themselves, what does?
