I remember that scene in the dressing room where Parker threatens to leave him because Singer was threatening a lawsuit. In the theatre when I saw that and the look and “hmm” Austin replied with that blew me away. I loved that moment. I thought that was one one of the great moments of the film. (One of many). I love this movie.

What's just so important is to keep Elvis Presley's contribution to the music and entertainment industry alive as he's been one of the best, there were more like him but he, at that time, was the best in the U.S. plus he served his country and got the polio vaccine to give people a positive attitude to get it

Being 100% in the moment is really the key to a full life, no matter what direction that takes us, and when Austin was able to be that, he had us.

Yes, we all have something to wail about. When you can touch hearts like that is when the viewer merges with the film.

That book of Elvis' schedule had to have been critical to clicking into his mindset. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for Austin to have to bounce in an out of various stages of Elvis' life with the drop of the hat in order to work with what the rest of the crew had scheduled for him. Just Wow!

This kind of gathering where the more technical aspects of the film are discussed are the thing it took to make me want to see the film again. The first view was just for the story. A second look would be to look for the strategies they employed to capture various vibes. Smart marketing, Baz. Give people reason to re-see the film for various reasons. This round seems to 'focus' most on the various uses of the camera. Another round may focus on costuming, or whatever, but this type of explanation gathering could raise the film to epic proportions rivaling Gone with the Wind. ⚡ Clearly, Baz is not about to let any aspect of the film go unaddressed.

The message I came away from this film with was more of a warning. Be careful not to let the focus of your life be overcome by the distractions that can rob you of what's most important in life.

What a gift the film Elvis and Austin Butler's portrayal of Elvis --- plus Luhrmann's vision to connect to the music/prayer pentecostalism of the childhood community of Elvis alongside the black artists who led and inspired from Beale Street into their own recording careers. Martin's design/costumes rocked too (giving AB room to move physically as inherent to the charisma of Elvis). AB added an emotional layer, from his soul, that removed any level of creepiness from the Elvis hip-swiveling and pelvic thrusting by waiting a few seconds, then widely shining his smile as though to make fun of his own sexiness as non-aggressive and mere performance. As a pre-teen Beatles fan, they always seemed sexually appealing but unthreatening unlike Elvis, who I hadn't really liked until watching AB as Elvis. Yes, AB embodied Elvis, but in a spiritually better and more female-respectful sexual way than even the living icon himself. That's the kind of acting the public wants to pay to see on the big screen!

As a pre-teen Beatles fan, to me they ... there, fixed the grammar (no edit button to the above)!
