Know game changer audio from their guitar pedals & you guys are pretty much the only company not just reinventing the wheel. Truly innovative company ✊
So, I guess it's possible now for Gamechanger Audio to release an 8-Voice synthesizer using the xenon-filled gas tubes, right? I'd like to see a new take on a Groovebox / Drum machine from you guys, too.
Can I also import my own SOUNDS? Many of your creations are mediocre, but I like the concept and would like to use my own SOUNDS with the Plasma Voice.
@AtavisticPlatypus I mean the onboard presets which are just samples. You have 49 samples in 7 Banks. Most of the samples are not usable, e.g. the bass sound is very poor.
@AtavisticPlatypus Those are indeed recorded samples. //The Plasma Tube Driver is modulated by a digital engine that contains samples (one shots and loops) and predefined envelopes//.
@AtavisticPlatypus You can ask Gamechanger directly. There is no OSC, those are only 49 recorded samples. It is also on their site. Why don´t you just read what is in the description? Furthermore you can hear that those are ROMples.
@AtavisticPlatypus Yeah, totally missleading. SAMPLES are modulating an OSC = ROMples are modulating an OSC. Dude, an OSC is also in a Sequencer e.g. in Verbos. This OSC doesn´t make sound. The sounds are still ROMples. You understand it now? It seems like you read "OSC" and don´t care about its technology.
@AtavisticPlatypus duuuuuuude, the on board sounds are samples, so it would be possible to add your own wavtables e.g. but gamechanger said they have no interace for it. That´s all.
4:09 -- I expected to hear Douglas J. McCarthy start singing about this point, lol. This thing is amazing. You kids really know how to think outside the box.
I almost want to get into Modular just so I can get one of these. I would to love to see it as a stand alone desktop. It would pair nicely with a Make Noise Strega.
Intresting module for experimental music and other crazy shits, I love the statics sounds. For once it's not overpriced witch is great in this weird time
Fun. But I'm still waiting for the single voice Motor Synth prototype you presented at Namm a few years ago, before releasing the Motor Synth to the public.
Absolutely great if you happen to like the sound of broken speakers. 😀 But seriously, that f***ing machine sounds something else. Like Minimoog on acid or something.
@@casktheatre7715 right, "voltage" is extremely vague. If he said "particle noise" or something that'd make sense but otherwise that voltage could just be its own oscillator/ seed wave.
The plasma element might be the least interesting part of the synth. The huge variety of trigger/accent modes, ‘clutch’ for CV changes, assignable modulation on top of individual CV inputs, etc.. would all be really powerful in a wavetable or physical modeling oscillator setup as well
Packed with character! Looking forward to having a play with one.
Really, only one? : )))
I can't wait to see your review of this!
Yup, I'm going to need this
This is awesome, best module of 2023?! Will pair perfectly with my Plasma Drive⚡
in fact you don't need the Plasma Drive if you have this. In fact I am gonna replace my entire Erica Fusion for this module.

Really diggin the bass from this

Sounds great! Would love to see this in a rack/tabletop/semi-modular format. I just learned a long time ago that I can’t be trusted with eurorack 😅
Awesome! Now we can have our own Tesla coil in rack format.
A game changer indeed. Absolutely wonderful.

Wow, this module sounds like you put 'Bottled' Bitney Spears and 'road kill' into the same band. I want it baadddd.

I was wondering when this would finally happen and I'm not disappointed
This sounds incredible. Need it
Yo the sequencing on the pluck demonstration, wow! is that midi input with a ratchet step in the sequence or modular, because that's sick

Be careful, you are just one Doepfer Mini Case away from a new habbit. ;)
This is wild! I love it.

Got mine ordered. Can’t wait! 😊

this is the coolest thing i’ve seen in music in a damn long time
I'm so excited!
Now that’s gritty. Cool stuff guys
I'm not sure about the sound of the module yet, but in terms of idea and presentation, you're pretty far ahead of other module manufacturers.
Sick idea!

Pretty cool
Very nice
I can see Trent Reznor buying like a dozen of these.
Dear god, let people stop mentioning Trent reznor everytime they hear a crunchy sound, thank you 🙏

nastiest sounding Modul of the year for sure
‘Great Scott 1.21 Gigawatts!?!’
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So is it possible to record own presets here?
I ❤ Modular 😸 👍
Oh no, you can’t do this to me! 😂😂
I’m just gonna have to rob a bank
You crazy mofos ❤👏👏👏
🤘
Must have.
I ordered one and have yet to receive it
Nicely done.
So what exactly makes the sounds?
Digitally controlled bursts of voltage into the tube which are then received by analog circuitry?
I was wondering the same thing, I wonder if the "banks" are pre recorded samples that are then run through the tube...

@@alobassmann that's what it seems like.
I was wondering if this would go hard. Spoiler alert …
Am I listening to a Blush Response record?

That has a certain something.
Take my money.
this made my hair stand up on its end. im shocked!
😲
omg

So it’s basically a preset machine with a very one dimensional sound. If only it sounded 1/10th as cool as it looks.
god that eq is miserable, hello tinnitus!
Wow! Cool! I want one!
