Blitz Esports LoL not applicable for platinum and below in solo queue the level of coordination between players in these elos are just low maybe ending up losing the game but it is a fun strat when playing with your friends in ranked flex no matter what your elo is
Hey blitz, I have a question why haven’t other comps tried using assassins like zed, Leblanc, or Diana to try and burst the hyper carry before they do damage? Since most funnels rely heavily on them and most of them is their main damage source

Gold Funneling Strats aren't seen that often in solo q until like maybe much higher elo. People don't run them due to how it requires coordination and most people have the mentality that they need to carry.
we are seeing them run here in plat, so it's being played here at a low elo atm.
I was referring to bronze-low plat. I haven't seen much in plat though.
once you've played in diamond 5 it is NOT high elo
I swear the difference between d5 and d3 is similar to low gold to plat, I used one of the overlays and I average 120 APM only 2 per second in diamond (and no not on braindead 1 ability champs like sion e spam or janna)
The D5 players are still better than 95% (maybe a little higher) of the playerbase.
I have seen it twice in bronze in the last month and a half

Very good video, i will link this to everyone telling me Funnel is broken the game and cannot be defeated.
One thing you forgot to mention, and it's a big one, it's recent jungle changes.
Camps spawning slowly and giving a lot of value on each camp + scuttle crab.
Scuttle is a great source of gold and exp as long as you can take it, and unless enemy mid and jungle are great early skirmishers and work well together scuttles are guaranteed to be taken by the funnel. This gives a lot of Gold, Exp, HP and mana regen and denies all of these things from the enemy jungler, helping the hypercarry reach his usual one and a half / two item spike and taking over the game.
this is why sometimes its boring to watch comp matches. you'll always see and hear the same thing.

Skirmishing against traditional funnel champ duos is generally a bad idea unless you have a great advantage, because they synergize in a way that makes them really hard to both outplay and kill while they have enough means to get to you:
Example: The classic funnel comp: Yi+Taric. Taric passive lets him deal high early damage while also casting high utility spells, paired with Guardian he protects for insane amounts whilst also dealing fairly much dmg. Paired with a Master Yi, his stun becomes basically impossible to dodge, Yi has several guaranteed conqueror + E true damage autoattacks plus his Q damage, and can use his W to diminish high-damage spells while also resetting his autoattack timer. And this is just pre-6. Post-6 is where the terror begins. Most soloQ mid/jungle duos will not be able to deal with these 2 champions in an early 2v2 situation and just feed them. And feeding a funnel comp means instant defeat if they play it smart.
Funnel comps are not healthy for the game because they represent some sort of timer: A timer for how long the funneling team has to hold out before the funnel comp insta-wins Which would be fine, if "holding out" was hard. But it's not hard, it's easier than playing traditional. So this timer is more of a timer of how long you have to stay on top of an enemy team to still be able to win the game. And no matter what you do, this timer always exists. Even if you try to hold down the funnel comp, unless you push your advantages unrelentingly, you will not finish the game before the funnel strategy becomes a significant threat. Funnel comps are like an ultimate lategame teamcomp that comes early in half the time.
The only reason funnel comps don' t take over all elos is because the individual players are not capable of playing this strategy the way it should be in lower elos (I only have experience on this up to Plat 5). And I am happy about this. I don't want to be forced to deal with this - it takes insane coordination to punish the funneling strat, and a draft that is good against it, to win those games. Games should not be played this way. It is not fair to force so much initiative and planning onto one team through just a simple champ select decision that has nothing to do with skill. So until it is changed, the best solution is probably to find a duo partner with whom one synergizes and learn to play the funnel comp yourself. That gives a lot more oppenings to win the game than playing a traditional comp into the funnel.
Once again, this only applies if the players have the skill and knowledge to play the funnel comp to the level of effectiveness that is required. No idea in which elo that starts, but from what I've seen I'd argue that it would take at least master players.

I think gold funneling also has become easier due to supports being inherently stronger than the other roles, and also because games are not as long anymore, so it's more important to get one carry ahead so he can do the job at 20 mins opposed to a team effort in 40+ mins.
You do realize that not every single problem comes from supports, right? Mages and adcs were nerfed to the ground (save for a few cases like kai sa and lucian), so only fighters/assassins were even playable. It's not the supports' fault that funneling works.
wait you forgot tanks got a slight nerf as well because fighters got buffed and ADC and mages both got nerfed (or did they get buffed who knows anymore)
I hate riot for giving 1-2 ADCs small, tiny miserable buffs while giving 1 or 2 assassins/fighters small, tiny miserable nerfs every patch. With this pace, we might actually come back to a semi-balanced meta by season 23
2 things Gragas got buffed in the ap ratio/some other things, and a god zed or talon make the nerfs they got look not even like nerfs. I mean if a bronze 4 like me can play Gragas Mid with mostly success then yeah.
I'm not even talking about gragas. They give talon a slap on the wrist for being a busted ass champ for 4-5 patches in a row. They leave zed untouched, yet they nerf the only viable mage at the moment (that being zoe). What the fuck are they fucking doing??? If you're gunna nerf what's meta, NERF EVERYTHING, not the only mage that's still playable after the hundreds of nerfs they gave to everything that's not an assassin or a fighter. I fucking hate this game.
As a karthus main I don't have an issue when this comes into my lane like said hard push the moment you can and they can't roam without damage to towers basically the split push technical move

This is in a lot of my games again. As a jungler I've been just trying to get side lanes ahead. It gets tough to 2v2 with mid laner I feel cuz they always have levels on me and my mid laner. They really need to buff control mages again!

Would this gold funneling increase kat and malzahar's playrate, they both have fast pushes, malzahar doesn't use much mana because of E W and kat doesn't use any but can w, q, e to instant clear a wave, then follow roam or roam elsewhere
i8u2manytimes Malz has slow mobility so even if he clear waves early, he cant keep roaming. Kat maybe but remember, she is melee, if facing an enemy long range champions, the enemy are most likely to clear the waves first right before her. Unless that Kat player knows how to punish enemy without getting too much damage.

Another strategy with no name to come with.
Leona support or Pantheon support, once you reach level 3, you stay with your jungler and and you gank side lanes alongside your jungle until you win. It mostly work fine and people will not notice how effective you were unless you make tons of kills instead.
since the gold reward change,gold funnel become a huge problem in solo kill.you can get your side lane ahead but it make they worth like 600 gold.once the funneler kill one of them he get so much gold that he just have 1 more item than anyone of your team.it is so frustrating when it happen.for me,best way to deal with it is mid roamer or have a champ that counter the funneler.(bad at english)

Most waveclear mids lost a lot of power and aren't as good at punishing these anymore. The big outlier would obviously be Aurelion Sol

I n my friend picked yasuo n braum to counter xayah n rakan funneling by pushing the fuck out of mid , they either stay mid n farm or they lose some xp by farming jungle camps

OH, I thought funneling (131) is not used in LOL? I read many LOL players make fun of ML's funneling strat and are afraid that it will be carried into LOL WR too. How hypocrite🙄
in lol is 1/2/2 start not 1/3/1 but yea, it's aslo less popural cuz riot nerf it so much.
Also all these funneling strats require you to be in sync with your team which is very rare in solo q so I doubt this solves any problem of gold funneling. Not everyone is going to listen to you
So delay the win condition but its still a win condition. Pro can do this but solo q is really different stage. If the funneled hero gets a kill or two you type the holy word GGWP.

Because most games when they get to mid game, they have to group up with jungler in a lane esp. if the jungler is the playmaker or even the carry. if they get LOWER EXP from lane minions, they will fall behind hard

which also means A LOT LESS GANKS within the first 10 minutes, sure in competitive games thats normal, but in soloq, itll be a very big change, the jungler will be getting "punished" for ganking, because he doesnt get as much exp as the laner, and if the enemy jungler steals a camp while you gank, what then? since you dont get as much exp from lanes, and the enemy took your camps? then what. Thats why this wont/shouldnt ever be implemented in the game
u ganking or taking cs? why care so much about the exp when u are there to help your laner get ahead.... i think its viable though and it might help the jungler to stop hard camping lane and start to use their brain to craft good jungler path as well.
Well this is gonna be my last reply since you obviously didnt read my full message/reply.. And obviously you dont play jungle a lot. I'll give you a scenario; say you gank mid, it's not a gank instakill, it takes about 20secs, then help the laner shove the lane(which they do in high elos), but while doing this, the enemy jungler took 2 of your camps; so, you lost 2 full camps, but in our current game thats not that big a deal cos you got EXP from helping push lane and gold from kill/assist, in the version you want, you get LOWER EXP from lane minions, which is already being divided into 2 players. Which means, you got 1 successful gank but you are DEFINITELY gonna have level-gap against their jungler. Thats why its a TERRIBLE IDEA. I hope you get it now, Mr.TriggeredLaner :D I bet you flame your jungler everytime he taxes for a gank or not spoonfeeding you kills (y)

The problem is that those items were design for fighters to endure "late game adcs with true damage" but nobody likes how adcs are now and fighters are doing pretty good already
