Different video. Also forgot to mention to counter these strategies you pick an early wave clear champ (like Asol) and strong early game jungler to put early pressure on them. Also karthus/nunu got picked again but got smashed by KT

Im guessing the other channels uploaded straight copies of the stream, I at least edited and provided commentary so it should be fine as it falls under fair use.

I find it crazy that Bronze players are made fun of because they complain about yi and how they should learn how to counter him except pro players didnt do as well either...
It's not because of yi though imagine having 2 supports and the jungler getting twice as fast the items he needs. They have buffed the supports so much over the patches to make them fun to play and now they can have 500 shield even if they give up their lane for the jungler. Yi basically gets twice as much gold and he seems op but in soloq a solo yi can be stomped easily with basically any form of cc.
To be honest BBQ had no good CC to stop Yi. Gragas and Shen, but that's all. So the setup was quite nice
I mean, it's probably their first time playing against this. Yi Taric is a super strong strategy and seems unfair, is very difficult to beat, but if you play around Yi and Taric, provided that the other lanes don't feed, you do have a good chance of winning.
Yi Kayle is a dirty strategy though and I do not respect it. OTP Yi main, never once had a Taric mid, don't plan to ask for one.

The creators seem confident it could beat a Yi, but Karthus by design just isn't going to 1v1 a Master Yi, their Nunu's build was absolute shit, and they drafted a grand total of 3 hard cc abilities on their entire team vs a team that relied on a Master Yi to win.
Needless to say, BBQ really shit the bed that game.

There is no need to credit TT, because this strategy didnt really work before the jungle changes on SR. So this basically a new strategy not something that got copied.

I was playing Nami with two magic resist items and got one-shot by Karthus's ult in base because he was just so ahead.

Yesterday I fought a premade bot, alistar + Katarina, good thing I was playing Nami because I poked Katarina to death and she was behind by a lot. What's wrong with LOL now ?
I'm guessing that another combo that could work would be something like rammus/talon where rammus can engage and cc the hyper carry while talon cleans it up very quickly.
As for the counter to yi/taric, this may sound crazy but teemo with his blind dart can really upset a yi. Combine that with another form of hard cc like a stun and you can ruin yi's day even with qss. Now before you say teemo is useless, and I agree, hear me out. In a comp like this, yi is the win condition. The only one. If you can neutralise him yeah you're wasting a spot ... but worth it to take out the only carry

Depends on when he uses alpha strike. If he alpha strikes then teemo uses q, he cannot dodge. Because alpha strike is a critical part of the combo and resets, all you'd need to do is wait til he uses it, blind him, then cc him until either highlander wears off cosmic radiance wears off. It's possible, but hard to time

I had to fight this once, it was karthus mid with smite and nunu jg, karthus came back to lane at one point with 73 cs not very far into the game and I was thinking he was just stealing all of his jg camps because I didnt know about this strategy, luckily I was playing my best champ (ryze) and I still beat him.

This strat has tons of counters. A yi one's are called tanks and cc(stun mostly) and focusing him crazy. This might not work in a pro game with communication amd stuff like that, but in soloq holy ...:D vs lart you just get maw and the mew atma on every ad except adcs. Plus you have guardian for ad s, and for kart the counterplay is actually thr playee who plays it, it is kinda hard to snowball with him in most elos, maybe in challenger or master not but lower.
Tanks does not counter Yi. CC does tho.

Hey TheLoLHounds, remeber that some time ago you made a video of a Singed main that played as support with smite, and invaded early game. Even though he was seriously trying to win and was succeeding, riot punished him for doing so. Today we see double bruisers in botlane, supports in mid, mid laners with smite, and now suddently that is "OK", because it's the fluffy pros that are doing it...
That's how it is. In the preseason of season 3 I played naut and morgana support, because I was bored playing traditional supports, and everyone insulted me, then they became regular in these roles.

i see master yi and taric have played supp meta in 3v3 :D and they try to recreate it in 5v5. As A 3v3 MAIN! TARIC in general + Mater YI + Karma or LULU is the best combo, its free win comp.

Trushhounds, those strats are good if the players are good, its not that op, and things like this existed in league multiple times. Game is more diverse and more fun right now.
Like they abused something fun like banner and it was removed so now they will remove yi taric also nunu and karthus
