Love that you have a knack for putting fabric and pattern together and making wonderful clothing!! This pattern looks great on you- and congrats for your weight loss!!!
You look amazing Rachel in your jumpsuit! To be honest I never noticed you had put on weight but we ladies are all harsh on ourselves. It’s a lovely feeling when we feel in control, you must have had a moment like that when you tried on your jumpsuit. Hence the speed with the buttons! But we should be kinder to ourselves. It’s horrible that folk have been critical of your sewing. If folk can’t say something nice, keep quiet.
Just stunning and your details and craftsmanship are absolutely outstanding. You couldn't buy a ready to wear that perfect for yourself. Especially with your lovely height. Well done Rachel. Again as always thank you all the work involved to share with all of who love sewing.
Hi Rachel, I haven't been much of a fan of jumpsuits...but this one I absolutely adore 👌💝. I think it's because it fits you so well and is more of a casual style..which I love. Such a wearable make and I'm sure you'll wear it a lot 👍. You look amazing and well done for loosing the weight... it's not easy 🙏👏💞😘
It looks great Rachel. It’s always such an amazing boost to your confidence when you dive into your wardrobe and things fit you again. I’m currently where you were before Christmas and I’m only 5’1” so it really shows. I just can’t seem to get my bum in gear to do anything about it. Hopefully once the weather improves I can talk myself back to weightwatchers. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Looks great Rachael. I can identify with you because I am also 5’10’; in fact that is what started me sewing to ensure i could have clothes i liked that fitted. I am so inspired by you brave ones who put yourself and your talents on show for us all, even though you do not all have model proportions; who of us does? I learn so much. It gives me confidence so please don’t stop. XLyn
No surprise you feel great wearing it as it is blinking gorgeous on you!! 💙 I’m terrified of making a jumpsuit like that due to fitting issues but I am now so tempted as yours is so beautiful 🤩
I've looked at this pattern before and not purchased it.......until seeing you in your jumpsuit today! Definitely ready to give it a go now and can't wait to be wearing mine soon x
Jumpsuit envy! I always think I'd love one, but I'm always nipping to the toilet 🤣🤣. Also with being longer bodied I'm always scared incase it feels like its slicing myself in two when I sit down 😳. Maybe now I will give it a try cus yours is so nice!
Rachel that looks great on you, I’m not a fan of jumpsuits for myself maybe I’m just afraid of how it looks on someone more vertically challenged 😆. I would also just take a sharpie to those white threads 😉
Looks good on you! Regarding the white overlocker thread on your breast pockets, I have used a black laundry marker before to colour in and darken stitched thread. It worked well.
You should feel fabulous because you look fabulous! I'm only 4'10' (a foot shorter than you lol) so you can imagine the alterations I have to make to patterns but that's why we sew, right?! BTW naysayers really are a sad lot and learning how to manage that negativity is a learned skill...glad you learned it. I always look forward to your videos.
You look fab in the jumpsuit,it really suits you.Well done on your efforts to lose weight paying off especially when your able to wear a garment that shows your success. It doesn't matter what anyone else says if you don't feel happy it shows,it also shows when you do.It's also great that you took the time to mention how you would improve it as it helps us learn.
I love your jumpsuit and it fits your body well. I have a pattern for a jumpsuit Vogue V1719 that I will make in the future. It has bell bottom legs and I will remove that and adjust more to my style. Thank you for sharing your jumpsuit garment and your review. Have a great Sunday!
I love it Racheal, and your confidence and happiness with this make is apparent and righty so it looks stunning. I love me a jumpsuit and this is more of a classic one which I love. I’ve not made any trousers yet, and I agree I wouldn’t try this before dipping my toe in the water of trouser construction. It’s lovely to see you so happy with this make. Clothes really can lift our spirits and mood and this garment has done it for you. I think it can be dressed with trainers sandels or boots, a real versatile piece. Look forward to your next vlog 🥰🥰🥰
Looks fabulous on you Rachel! You could go over the white stitching with a sharpie pen. Or wait until you have washed it and some dye runs out of it which hopefully should dye the stitches some what :)
Hiya...you've made me pull out that pattern and relook at it, yours looks fab...wondering though did you use a different front chest pocket, the one that comes with the pattern doesn't have that pleat detail...at least mine doesnt. Anyway I am inspired to retry this pattern...Thanks for the review!
Ooh, it looks fabulous! I have this pattern and really want to make it, if I can get a good fit it could be a great pattern for jeans and a separate top 🤔
Looks amazing You've done a great job I have this pattern going to make for my daughter But will do careful measurements of here It looks great in the denim You have got a good fit for your body your experience shows on this make Well done Happy sewing Take care
AMAZING>>>>it looks fab on you Rachel, its so lovely when you make something that makes you feels so good! So congratulations, I am off to check the pattern out now! Thanks for the thorough review!
I love your jumpsuit Rachel. I have the Farrah jumpsuit pattern from soi and think it’s very similar. The jumpsuits I’ve made have been successful and I’ve toiled the trouser part. Last summer I didn’t want to make one as feel bigger round my waist. I’m still the same but may just attempt one but grade out more there😆
I’m not surprised you feel amazing in it, you look AMAZING in it! 😍 I really need to try some of the jumpsuit patterns I have, although I don’t have this one 🤔 no, must not buy more patterns!! Lol 😆 xx
You made me laugh in this vlog. Agree about weight gain and not noticing. I cut out a Tilly & the Buttons Safiya dungarees last year that were just sitting there unmade. Finally got round to doing it and OMG. I managed to get them on but until the weight gain is gone they wont be worn in public, which currently is disappointing as because i'm a beginner dressmaker (not sewist) I did a really good job. I know they are an easy make but was proud of my finish and wanted to show off immediately. Anyway I also have the zadie jumpsuit cut out and at least when made up they should fit considering you said they were looser. Agree pockets on bum of the jumpsuit are too small and its not the size of your bum 😆😆
Fabulous jumpsuit. I agree as I am 5 ft 10 and always have been told that I can carry extra weight with no problem. Not true, I feel like a shapeless blob if I have extra weight. Xx
I think I'll just purchase a ready made narrow frilly trim for the flouncy cuff bit.... Or just leave it out all together. And just top stitch the 2 cuffs together at the hem line.
You look amazing wearing that jumpsuit ,it really compliments your fab figure. I loved your Sirocco too,I think that your height is a plus when wearing such an outfit .Well done you for not giving up on making it !🌹🌹🌹
You look great! I’ve had this pattern in my stash and now after seeing yours, I can’t wait to make the playsuit version. BTW if the white stitching really bothers you ( not that anyone else would even notice), have you thought about coloring the stitching with a navy permanent marker? Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful make!
Congratulations on losing a bit of weight, your jump suit looks great. Go over the white overlocking with a black sharpie pen, you can hide a multitude of sins with a sharpie!
I love this! Would love to see you do a sew along with this pattern!
Love that you have a knack for putting fabric and pattern together and making wonderful clothing!! This pattern looks great on you- and congrats for your weight loss!!!
Oh, I adore your honesty and terrific personality! You look fabulous in that jumpsuit.

Your jumpsuit looks fantastic on your Rachel and thank you for inspiring me to get my weight under control (I've been in denial)!
I think this my favourite of all your amazing makes! Love it! Thank you for being you. X

Fantastic jumpsuit Rachel! It should serve you well in the stretch denim which I think was a great choice for the pattern.
Ooh, it looks fabulous! I have this pattern and really want to make it, if I can get a good fit it could be a great pattern for jeans and a separate top 🤔

Oh I so disagree that sewing is a solidarity hobby. I have so many sewing friends, groups and sewing bees. It’s like life it’s what you make it
