L'AMOUR EN HIVER (Brass duet) - une mélodie de Noël by Stewart J Wallace

L'amour en hiver (Love in winter) is an original duet arranged for two brass instruments with piano accompaniment. It was originally composed for 2 violins for a school carol service and the solo parts were played by twin sisters.
It has a lilting quality, like gently falling snowflakes, and it starts with the instruments having a musical conversation before they both combine - the piano is also an integral part of the conversation with its own solo section.
Aim for an expressive, lyrical quality to your playing and it will help to evoke the peaceful spirit of Christmas - love is always in our world, even in the darkest of times.
A piano score with separate individual parts is included, so that you can try this in various combinations - 2 cornets, or 2 euphoniums, or 1 of each. Bass clef versions for euphonium are also included in the set. This would suit intermediate to advanced performers.
