I’m two month behind. New subscriber catching up. Tournament fishing on a new lake in the rain. You’re the epitome of a sportsman, an honest and hardworking fella.
Concerning the flat A, when you have a lure you have confidence in Always have three or four in your box. You would never take just one piece of plastic on the water.
I always like watching. You are respectful and humble. I like the way you experiment with different baits places it's exactly what I would like to do. Keep the videos coming.
Wow, you're on one of my lakes now! So glad you came up to this tourney. I understand the rain, you must always watch for the storms! They blow up fast on that lake. lot's of good fishing there. Where you close to Sycamore Creek? Great content for this video, plus known territory! Love it !
Man, I love your tournament videos. This weather, these results; that's been my last two tournaments almost exactly. I love fishing in the rain, hate filming in it.
It’s pouring here in Nashville and the Harpeth behind my neighborhood it’s flooded. Cant wait for the chocolate milk water to go down so I can get back out there!! 👊
That was a great object lesson for the rest of us, patience and perseverance. Well done brother. Glad you got your limit. Some just wouldn't stick out an all day soaker but you did. Congrats on the 1st place brother man.
Wow, John caught that TOAD on a jig and trailer! Haven't seen him use that bait much. I love Carolina rigs and jigs and trailers. My favorite ways to fish on a lake or river with a hard bottom.
Hey brother love your thrill it's really cool to see you having a great time two things to share with you from my many years of fishing that also included many Bass tournaments. The first thing is a "What is a sharp hook"? If your hook will dig into your fingernail it is sharp if it slides across put the hone to it.The second thing is that you might be setting the hook too quick that was the hardest thing for me to learn about worm fishing was to drop the rodtip for a second before setting the hook.
You have made Hellgramites super popular! I was lucky to grab some at Bass Pro a couple of weeks ago and have already caught a small bass on them. I met another one of your viewers out fishing this weekend who has had trouble finding them and was able to share some with them. Glad I did as they were completely out when I went today. Keep on sharing!
Great fishing Vid Brother, John ..... Tip on hauling your Yak with the seat up like that. Buddy of mine had some road debree hit his seat and bust a hole in it. We started strapping them in the down position I even take mine off each time and haul it in the truck.
I haven't watched any vids in a month in a half.. i love it there is like 15 of yours i will be watching today. Im glad your doing tournaments more very 😎. We appreciate the footage John. God Bless and how bout this verse Matt 4:18-19
Great video as always! It's funny watching you set the hook on a bass then watching your buddy ADUB set the hook. That guy looks like he going to yank the fish clear out of the water lol
Man I always like to see what you’re up. It’s great to see you doing these tournaments as well as the OG creek fishing! If you’re ever coming through Southern Indiana / Louisville Kentucky area with a little time, let me know and I’ll by your coffee. Tight lines‼️🎣
Good Evening... just watched you with Houston and Daniel. I think Houston needed a little casting help. LOL. That little creek they have neat. Like your channel
ADD side tip. A 20oz Gatorade bottle makes an awesome can cover in the rain. Just cut it a little below the neck where it levels out to the sides and slip it over the can.
Gotta dance with who brought you. As an avid creek romper I would've chose the same area. Great go at it with a solid finish. Ready for the next adventure!!
Great video...You did great. Get ya a heavier action tip for the crawfish jig...and then cross that fish's eyes when ya set the hook. Have a Blessed Day.
You should go to Coburn PA, and fish at Coburn On The Creek, owned by my cousin Craig Shroyer. He has a cabin to stay in, and can guide you to big brown and rainbow trout.
Just a tip check your hook and make sure they are sharp and not rolled over. Always bring a sharpener for your hooks. But I'm sure you already know that. Good video brother
Please keep a sharpening stone on you. they have a divit on both sides. just make 2 passes on both the outer part of the hook and 2 on the edge of the barb. you will stick more fish. Most people have no idea how fast hooks get dull being dropped or bounced around in trays and tackle boxes.
Try fishing the jigs with a baitcaster setup instead of a spinning reel. Takes a little getting used to, but more hookset power. Great video again man!
So much tough luck with them shaking the hook, man. Wow! What kind of line do you use fishing cranks/jigs? Are you straight florocarbon? Or braid to floro?
Hello mr. John this is your friend Billy Simmons again just wanted to thank you for the wonderful video I enjoyed watching you catch those nice Bass I don't want to hinder your fishing video but I would appreciate it if you would continue to pray for my family and I we certainly need it the Lord knows our need we are really in some dark times I sincerely appreciate it take care of yourself and I'll chat with you soon your friend Billy Simmons
John as far as sleeping in the truck you just stretch out on the back seats? Being 6'4" it must be tight. Is it less comfortable than you Suburban? At least in your truck with the cap you could stretch out. Of course that time you got soaked wasn't too much fun.
Do you ever give any in person lessons and advice to those of us who keep trying and not successeding. My brother lives in Old Fort, TN and I'll be making trips to see my mom who is moving in with him.
Creek Fishing Adventures= 🐐
Aint nothin better than braving the elements and it actually paying off!!
Way to grind it out in the rain brother. 11 place is awesome!
Just got my first kayak can’t wait to get out there!
Hey John, you are right it’s been a Rainy day all day here in Kodak Tnn
John you are absolutely the man brotha!!
I’m two month behind. New subscriber catching up. Tournament fishing on a new lake in the rain. You’re the epitome of a sportsman, an honest and hardworking fella.
Hello John, had you not caught any bass you still had better luck than the guy in the truck.
My heart was racing when that big one jumped right next to the boat
Bill Dance once said about fishing in the rain, “no matter how much it rains, the fish can’t get any wetter.” Looks fun to me.
Concerning the flat A, when you have a lure you have confidence in Always have three or four in your box. You would never take just one piece of plastic on the water.
YEEEES, has was literally watching your older videos, and I was hoping you would post today and my wish game true🙏
I always like watching. You are respectful and humble. I like the way you experiment with different baits places it's exactly what I would like to do. Keep the videos coming.
👍 If y'all think John is a Creek Fishing JEDI MASTER 🤘
You know I do!!
Best Fishing UA-camr on the whole site in my opinion. Love your videos man!
That oldtown kayak is really serving you well. Nice!
Wow, you're on one of my lakes now! So glad you came up to this tourney. I understand the rain, you must always watch for the storms! They blow up fast on that lake. lot's of good fishing there. Where you close to Sycamore Creek? Great content for this video, plus known territory! Love it !
Great work dude!!!!!
Man, I love your tournament videos. This weather, these results; that's been my last two tournaments almost exactly. I love fishing in the rain, hate filming in it.
Wooooo! Gotta have those 20 inches in the tournaments for sure. Still watching. You're having a great tournament man.
That rod holder beside your seat is awesome.
Hey John. Great effort in the rain. You could totally handle Scottish weather. 👍🎣🏴
It’s pouring here in Nashville and the Harpeth behind my neighborhood it’s flooded. Cant wait for the chocolate milk water to go down so I can get back out there!! 👊
Awesome video John! "Never doubt the crankbait " I absolutely agree.
So funny I had the closed caption on and when you got the one next to the rocks it said music... I thought money! Great video John. God bless.
That was a great object lesson for the rest of us, patience and perseverance. Well done brother. Glad you got your limit. Some just wouldn't stick out an all day soaker but you did. Congrats on the 1st place brother man.
Fished Douglas my whole life. It's got about everything in it. Nice to see you win here.
Your videos just keep getting better and better
Wow, John caught that TOAD on a jig and trailer! Haven't seen him use that bait much. I love Carolina rigs and jigs and trailers. My favorite ways to fish on a lake or river with a hard bottom.

Awesome video keep doing tournaments we love it
Awesome day fishing. Thanks for the post. Just received my nikko hellgrammite order. Look to wet a line this weekend !
Great video as always! It's funny watching you set the hook on a bass then watching your buddy ADUB set the hook. That guy looks like he going to yank the fish clear out of the water lol
Thats my home lake!
Man I always like to see what you’re up. It’s great to see you doing these tournaments as well as the OG creek fishing!

Just saw your bearded mug on an Arms Family Homestead video!
Ikr and I just subscribed because of his video so far I'm ready to quit my job and hit the water lol
Good Evening... just watched you with Houston and Daniel. I think Houston needed a little casting help. LOL. That little creek they have neat. Like your channel
Very scenic there, you missed some but still caught your limit ! It was a successful day even though it rained most of the day !
You're living the dream John
WOW, only an inch kept you from placing in the top 10! That's insane! Congrats on the trophy and the first-place finish the weeks prior.
7 minutes in, you should make a clip of that tail walk, title it, "Bass Ballet". Awesome fish, and what a rush you had!
Good job finding fish in the rain. Good finish. I like the tournament videos. Rip lips.
ADD side tip. A 20oz Gatorade bottle makes an awesome can cover in the rain. Just cut it a little below the neck where it levels out to the sides and slip it over the can.
Watching another one of your fishing shows. Good stuff. Living in Colorado Creek fishing is about trout. Enjoy this different. Fish
Such an amazing achievement. I hope for many more.
Congrats on the trophy John!
Gotta dance with who brought you. As an avid creek romper I would've chose the same area. Great go at it with a solid finish. Ready for the next adventure!!
Hardcore fishing in rain. Good catch.
That looks like your in Rutledge , another great video, keep em coming, god bless
I fish that lake all the time! Great to see you cathing them!
Enjoyed this one . The one{s} that got away really had your rod bent there for a while but you still did well .
Great video...You did great. Get ya a heavier action tip for the crawfish jig...and then cross that fish's eyes when ya set the hook. Have a Blessed Day.
Morristown side near cedar hill boat dock...panther creek lots of big bass
Great dedication & first time lake "good luck". Its gotta be rough being in the rain all day, respect! 🐟 take care💠
You need a heavy duty rod for bass. I've used boron, and graphite, and both will hang a hook in a big bass.
Way to go on a new lake I felt your pain when you lost those fish
You were smacking those bass man!☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾
Have you tried calf killer and caney fork rivers in Sparta TN? Great fishing
i was just there last weekend! visiting some family in morristown
You should go to Coburn PA, and fish at Coburn On The Creek, owned by my cousin Craig Shroyer. He has a cabin to stay in, and can guide you to big brown and rainbow trout.
Love your videos. Did you video winning tournament on Douglas lake? I can't find it?
Just a tip check your hook and make sure they are sharp and not rolled over. Always bring a sharpener for your hooks. But I'm sure you already know that. Good video brother

Great video ‼️. Keep having fun as long as you can😁. Danial sent me from Arms Family.
Eddie 💰 in the background at the beginning. Plus I've also been fishing in the rain recently.
Try fishing the jigs with a baitcaster setup instead of a spinning reel. Takes a little getting used to, but more hookset power. Great video again man!
Agreed. Spinning rods are John's comfort zone though.
Loving that kayak aren't ya....
It’s hard as heck to get a good hook set sitting down, I’ve done the same thing numerous times in my 2-man.
Nicely done!
I came across your channel from the Arms Family. I only live a short distance from you. Subscribed!
Hey John creek fishing isn’t bad
John, if I ever get up your way we’ll have to get out there on the water.
So much tough luck with them shaking the hook, man. Wow! What kind of line do you use fishing cranks/jigs? Are you straight florocarbon? Or braid to floro?
Great job!! Nice fish!!
Hell yeah brother! Still a good day!!
Awesome video. Great fishing. Keep it going Sir.
Fun video... just slaying bass.
Maybe backing off the drag a bit will help keep them on.

Right on time.
Little more time between thump n yank! GOD BLESS!
Great vid brother!
8:32 beast mode!
You’re always stocking up on snacks
You where fishing in all my spots lol. I caught a 4.18 and a 4.54 lb in that one spot last fall.
Well done! Good job!
Cool rain coat! What kind of jacket is that?
Gotta love fishing on a rainy day.
Awesome fish
Do you ever give any in person lessons and advice to those of us who keep trying and not successeding. My brother lives in Old Fort, TN and I'll be making trips to see my mom who is moving in with him.
Im from around knoxville retired from NPS here and stayed on lake
Good video John .
Great day!
I think that spinning rod is not stout enough to set the hook on that lure you kept loosing them on maybe?
What brand jig ? I like the looks of it
For not scouting, good job!
