This is one of my favorite cruisers. I've been getting 80k and 90k damage games all day long. This ship is amazingly maneuverable with the maneuverability upgrades in the last two slots.

This ship is a MONSTER on the PC. The secret is to fight from behind islands where the enemy is spotted and you can fire without being detected. Positioning is EVERYTHING with this ship. Another tactic is knowing when to fire and when not to. Meaning using your stealth stay hidden and pick a target like an enemy Battleship that is engaged with another Battleship, unleash on them, most people are too stupid to recognize the threat and will stay focused on the BB they are engaging and before he know is you have burned him down to 1/3 health. If you see his guns turning toward you, stop firing and go stealth. This is not a front line cap contester. Played right this ship is DEADLY.
The Boise isn't amazing but the arriving of the Brooklyn class CL might announce the upcoming of the USN Light Cruisers line with Helena at T6 and Cleveland at T7! (Maybe)
Léandre the Boise is a Helena, both great ships but I am really hoping for the Cleveland it’s my favorite light cruiser I hope they add it soon🤞 we. An only hope.
I think WG has said they will not be bringing half classes to Warships. Such as light cruisers and battle cruisers.
They will be assigned whichever class they are closest to
It would be nice if they split the cruiser line like on the PC that would give us a lot more ships to play. We can only hope.

thank you for showcasing the Boise; yes It is a support Ship and in the absence of torps it is not great çn close combat.
My experience with this ship has been great. It's like an Atlanta, but good! It's an Atlanta with 16km range!
And without 9km radar, or torpedoes. Not to mention half the rate of fire
Its a light cruiser pre warship which is why it has no radar or spotter plane

it ain't agile, quick to turn rudder but the ship is like a BB, I got a 213k dmg game yesterday and I think its a solid ship, ain't no Atlanta but still solid

Spartan try to broadside the boise to a BB. You can't get citadel ever. You need to play more CL man. You can't bow tank 16inches guns. U have to let the shells go through the body so it doesn't deal much damage
Minh Tran i citadel this ship before in my iowa and took a bit more than half of its health in a game from yesterday.
@@mrnissan3262 cause he is not flat in front of you. When he flat it have no armor and your 500 penetration guns will just go right through it, and it count as light damage, so you can heal up with the super 40% hp heal
Minh Tran he was broadside tho. but then again i was at about 7km away from him so maybe that’s why. all i remember is this annoying cruise who kept setting fires on me appearing and i citadel him when i saw him turning his ship
Just got her and have only played a few games, but damn can she earn credits! Haven't earned less than 300k in any of the games I've played. In my experience, its sturdier than my Yorck and Myoko. I was consistently getting good hits with the AP even against BBs. So far I like it at least as much as my Scharnhorst.

You run this ship like the Atlanta you don't need fully pack. Instead use refill station and stick near islands.
She is a sneaky ship that can pack a punch if you know how to play her. Just don't try to hunt BB and use your head.
The heal on this ship is amazing.

The Atlanta is armed with dd caliber guns, and the Brooklyn-class cruisers were light cruisers
This is a very powerful cruiser it should be played at long range kiting away from your enemies. Just like the Atogo. Spartan every ship can’t have battleship guns. Lol 😂

I still believe this is a very strong ship when played like a USN light cruiser. This ship was made to hunt DD’s and to harass every other ship within your firing range from behind islands. On the pc it used to have radar but for some reason they took it off not sure why. It would have been a way better ship with radar.

Spartan you do understand that's what Cruisers are for right there primarily support ships they're not meant to be Frontline Brawlers play the ship like in Atlanta essentially it's a better Atlanta because it has bigger guns longer-range very similar firing Arc only difference is is it doesn't get radar but it gets a heel instead and how many Atlanta s actually effectively use their Torpedoes anyway with a 4 km range. so no Torpedoes on this ship who cares. you're playing it wrong bud
Pensacola is another good ship to me. Can't play them like battleships.

Ship designers knew you'd have to kite, so they just threw in that rear facing turret on the front.
From close range AP can pen new Mexico's and Colorado's. But otherwise it's an HE spam ship, and you kinda need to know how to play CL's, which mostly aren't in the game yet, so you get a pass.
Plus, both this ship and its tech tree sister are pretty good on PC. Some would say broken
Like I said in the video it's very situational. It is good in a support role but if you're solo good luck.
Games just dont last long enough to be effective

My Balti has no issues turning I can avoid a lot of rounds in her and she's a heavy cruiser that is faster than this light cruiser
@@SpartanElite43 IMO I feel like the Baltimore is one of the least mobile cruisers in the game. I guess it depends on your setup tho

I mean it is a Brooklyn class light cruiser ot is a pre war ship so i wouldn't expect radar or a spotting plane

I like to think of the Boise as a destroyer getter because you have decent maneuverability to dodge torpedoes but at the same time smack a destroyer
Spartan, Love your content. AP on 152mm guns would never be able to pen the turrets of a BB. That's normally the thickest armour on a BB.

It could deffinately use a buff to the ammo, guns dispersion, and radar or scout plane
I find it funny he said these guns weren't good enough but then they introduce the Cleveland, kutuzov and chapayav and now they are great
Honestly I like the boise a lot because it is the most played ship I've used with over a thousand battles and about 722 kills with this ship

I'm grinding La Gal T5 rightnow (finally I've got the Normandie but not the Iowa, yet😖!), she has 3x3 152mm main battery but for me get some good damage on this ship is...oooff. I shoot and then I must start runnnig! Run, Forrest run, because if I'm detected , well you know, I go to the water garage. I'm suck with cruisers.

Spartan yknow boise is supposed to be a premium of one of the other tech tree cruisers. Im not sure when but eventually ill suppose they will initiate the tech tree split which will give us cleveland. And trust me your gonna love clevedad even if i havent played her. Also you should play boise like you play atlanta or for the most part any usn tech tree cruiser. You really dont wanna be trying to be like everyone else till you get to baltimore or i guess whenever they add them buffalo and des moines. You abuse your high shell arc to fire behind islands where you cant be shot back at and ask destroyers to smoke you.

Why is it that all the ships in the console version are down tiered from the PC version? That is the one thing keeping me from playing the console version. I love this game (been playing the pc version for 3 years).
Because we're only going to tier 7 for now.
They were trying to shorten the lines and make it easier to move up but then they made tier 7 18,000,000 credits....
I just paid sixty dollors for this ship and I hate to hear the review so bad but I actually like this ship in my opinion it’s better then the Pensacola
Gotta keep in mind this is an old review of the ship and back then I was essentially a BB main. So it only makes sense that I didnt enjoy it at the time.
That being said if you look at my videos in Helena you will see I did come to eventually appreciate the American Light Cruisers.

It is a great ship, you just have to know how to play cruisers. This ship is very maneuverable. I honestly have no idea how he is thinking this is a terrible ship it's a frigging monster.
@@Berserker_4517 I have all the cruisers in the game, it's my preferred class of ship. I respect his opinion on the matter and choose not to spend the money on it if spartan thinks it's not a good ship. However I'm glad you enjoy it and look forward to meeting you on the sea of battle with it. 😁

The noise is great at destroying other cruisers including balty. Just can't expect play this like a bbq and you'll be fine. Boise is a monster.

I dont know man, the Boise is a good boat. Its like all the other American cruisers, its citadel gets smacked from every angle. And dont knock its AP, I took 9k chunks off a musashi and point blank range with its AP.
In not saying its s bad boat just that it isn't for me. I prefer heavy cruisers that can actually punch people in the mouth

I had amatch 1v3 against 2 bbs and a cruiser I almost won that fight in boise but one of the bbs had almost full hp when I had half but I can hold its own if you play well enough

Hey spartan I wanted to ask how does admiralty backing work exactly??
You purchase it with doubloons aka gold I think it is 2500.
Then you can earn all of the prizes of the campaign or you can spend the gold to buy them all out.
So say if I'm on milestone 3 in the campaign and I admiralty backing then I get all the rewards?? Is that right??
