2:36 Why did you spend time going there only to video edit from green screen to this shot? As for peameal lots of people made those sangwiches long before st Lawrence market people.
I remember the first time having a "pig tongue" sandwich, as my father called it. Quite enjoyable, and fond memory. Think I will be making myself a pig tongue sandwich this morning.
We used to get this at the Ottawa Exhibition in the 70's where one of the local service clubs sold them from their booth and I seem to remember them put mustard on it. I'm 70 now and still have this at home from time to time.
This sandwich was being sold for 50+ years at the fairs all around where I grew up. Called Bacon On A Bun. These people did not create this sandwich. Even my parents and grandparents would go to the fairs just to meet people they hadn't talked to for a year and to get this sandwich.
we are the best is a very weird title for this show. Who is we? is the show about food? Toronto? Canadian Heritage? I'm hoping food cuz otherwise it's a rather problematic title
I ❤ Toronto and St Lawrence Market! The PM sandwich is a must on every visit.
They would sell these at the hockey rink when I was a kid and it's still my favorite type of sandwich.

Exactly...
Just had this an hour ago. Amazing!

the owners accent is so torontonian
What a creative sandwich.
this guy's accent is so much weirder when I'm really high.
The peameal bacon sandwich is even BETTER when you're high ;-)
de leck a sea
He's a famous Quebec chef, and English is not his mother tongue.
Québécois accents can get pretty goofy lol.
Delicious!!!
I like mine with tomatoes and lots of mustard.
Boy this host is sharp as a marble. It's peameal on a bun and he asks how do you make it? Wow, no anchor job for this guy at CBC in the future.
LMAO.
He's a francophone. Could you do as well in French?
Not that that would really be all that good of an achievement at this point lol.
Maybe some hot banana peppers and some mustard
Totally forgot the mustard.
Bet it was a dry sandwich.
Peameal bacon is made from brined pork loin. It can be really dry after frying it.

Did you grow up in Toronto or anywhere else in Ontario?
If you watch the video they did not claim they created it. They just said their father used to do it.
I'm gonna fry up some pemeal right now

This is bs. Not the first pea meal bacon sandwich. These claims are ridiculous.
peameal bacon is really pretty average, i grew up with the stuff, i now prefer NZ manuka smoked streaky beacon!
This one was lame!
From Ontario and regular bacon is way better.
Meh
I’m sorry, but nothing about this is unique
'How did it started here?'... What the f*ck? Broadcasting used to have standards, like the ability to speak proper English. *thumbs down*
its almost as if english isnt his first language...were you confused by what he was trying to say? No? then stop complaining
How's your career in french broadcasting going?
