If it's anything less than the threat of nuclear retaliation, like M.A.D., Putin is not deterred from using a nuke. The only deterrence of a nuke is another nuke. It is inevitable and bound to happen sooner or later as history does tend to repeat itself. We’re effectively now almost at a “Cuban missile crisis” level if the west and NATO continues supplying Ukraine with weapon’s, and Ukraine continues to push forward trying to take back what is now Russian annexed territory. Whether you support Ukraine over Russia or Russia over Ukraine, does not matter, either way of this continues we will likely see the use of nuclear weapons soon enough unfortunately.

This U.S. led NATO/E.U./U.K. Proxy war using Ukrainians to weaken the Russian Federation war will go down in history as the biggest blunder in geopolitics ever.
It looks like the Russians owe the Americans a couple of warheads to get the Nuclear usage balance sheet straight. Oh don’t worry the Americans have conveniently forgotten about Japan and incidentally, they have conveniently changed the rules of engagement, because it Suits their national security. This is proof of American exceptionalism and unfettered adventurism outside of its territorial jurisdiction. Therefore the United States throws the Europeans under the bus and declares its our currency but it’s your problem.

Who wouldn’t be? Not even the US uses nuclear threats when invading a smaller power. Russia’s military eclipses Ukraine’s in terms of size, yet they’re falling back on nuclear threats? Obviously Russia’s strength is only on paper. Whereas the west and US don’t need to threaten nukes to achieve military victories. Don’t forget, the us refrained from using nukes after WW2, despite having the opportunity in Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East. Such weapons are, in reality, useless beyond symbolic chess pieces. So, Russias clearly backed into a corner since they’re threatening nukes now more than ever

He is avoiding, but they have avoided reminding us that Putin continually calls this a 'war against the West" and his nuclear threats all along (and those of other officials and Russian TV)' these now approach 50. Medvedev told his a while back that Russia had released the Four Riders of the Apocalypse. I don't know if it is not to scare us, not to reveal military strategy, or an effort perhaps to address Russian moderates by not responding to their more insane rhetoric, all of the above, or other things entirely.

    • @michellesheaff3779
      @michellesheaff3779 Рік тому

The impetus of "Mother" Russia's invasion was Putin's EGO. Calling a brutal dictatorship ""Mother" is a grave insult to mothers everywhere.
Germany and France vetoed Ukraine's bid to join NATO in Bucharest summit in 2008 because it offended Putin's imperialist sensibilities. And Ukraine had been no closer to joining NATO since then.
Obviously mollycoddling Putin's Ukrainian obsession backfired. Instead of appeasing Putin, he just keeps invading and warring and annexing in Ukraine until here we are at the brink of WWIII.
So it is not Ukraine's desire to be safe under NATO protection that caused Russia to invade. It is the fact Ukraine is not under the shield of NATO that led Russia to invade.
Russia has invaded Ukraine, Georgia, Chechnya, Syria--any neighbors not protected by NATO. It has never invaded Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania even though these are tiny countries and Putin says the same things about them: Russia has historical rights to them (because Russia invaded and conquered them) and there are Russian speaking minorities there (because Russia deported native populations to Siberia and imported Russians.)
It is clear countries join NATO to be protected from Putin and this need for protection is legitimate. We can see Russia proving it will invade them by invading them! Using NATO as an excuse to invade Ukraine is ridiculous: you can't counter NATO by attacking a country that is not part of NATO, that will only cause more countries to join NATO (welcome Sweden and Finland and Ukraine!) And NATO countries to strengthen themselves and sanction Russia.

@@surjakantasingh4287 Yea, for sure. Though, note that this was still in the early days where Russia was still "doing well" and they weren't attacking AS MANY (wild..) civilians as they are now. There definitely was a lot of it, but they weren't leveling towns with massive artillery barrages like they would to Mariupol later.
At the time, you could still delude yourself into thinking that letting Russia get their way would be the less painful better option if the defense was going to crumble anyway. That's precisely why showing that the defense of Ukraine was strong and motivated - from normal citizens all the way to the President and the army - was so key to kicking the international community to do something.

Never forget who's the real threat to the world !!
Who have killed more people in last two decades ?
    America or Russia
how many people have been killed and wounded in Iraq since the 2003 United States invasion. However, we know that between 184,382 and 207,156 civilians have died from direct war related violence caused by the U.S., its allies, the Iraqi military and police, and opposition forces from the time of the invasion through October 2019. The violent deaths of Iraqi civilians have occurred through aerial bombing, shelling, gunshots, suicide attacks, and fires started by bombing. Many civilians have also been injured.
Because not all war-related deaths have been recorded accurately by the Iraqi government and the U.S.-led coalition, the numbers are likely much higher. Several estimates based on randomly selected household surveys place the total death count among Iraqis in the hundreds of thousands.
Several times as many Iraqi civilians may have died as an indirect result of the war, due to damage to the systems that provide food, health care and clean drinking water, and as a result, illness, infectious diseases, and malnutrition that could otherwise have been avoided or treated. The war has compounded the ill effects of decades of harmful U.S. policy actions towards Iraq since the 1960s, including economic sanctions in the 1990s that were devastating for Iraqis.
Despite more than $100 billion committed to aiding and reconstructing Iraq, many parts of the country still suffer from lack of access to clean drinking water and housing.
Why did Native Americans lose their land?

Once again, Putin making faulty comparisons (and Russians believing them) shows that someone failed their entrance exams.
The "precedent" (as heart wrenching as it was) that the US set by dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was only in that they were nuclear bombs.
My understanding is that at the time, the horrifying reality was that more people were being killed with the "conventional" bombing in Tokyo than were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
    Remember: Japan attacked the US.
If anything, the precedent wold be more in alignment with a situation wherein Ukraine were to drop a nuclear bomb on Russia.
