I absolutely love this! I’m not really a huge fan of the “jelly nail” trend because I don’t like seeing the nail free edge underneath. It seems... unfinished or something. This completely solves that, and looks beautiful at the same time! Lovely lovely ❤️☺️
You can also sculpt the nail with clear on the bed, clear on the extension, but fade just a biiiit of cover pink over the natural free edge to obscure it. I feel the same way about jelly nails!
Imagine if she did tiny little happy paintings on her nails. Totally immaculate mountains and sunset etc. She would be Bob Ross if he reached God level lol. I'd be like bowing to this queen
Lovely as always! The heat spike happens because the light initiates the bonds of the molecules. When you put your hand in the light initially, the molecules are bouncing all around causing a lot of friction, which is what creates the heat. So when you flash it a couple of times, you're starting that initiation to bond and polymerize, and then stopping it, and continuing it, then stopping it and that pausing keeps the friction down and the heat spike away :]
your videos are actually like healing, they help me relax and inspire me at the same time!! before i started watching your videos i hated the look of acrylic and gel nails but i find them so elegant now so thanks lol
You know what would be fun? Frosted glass nails. I got the idea from a SimplyNailogical tutorial. You basically do the nails like you did here, but instead of nail color, you would put on a matte topcoat, then use a glossy topcoat to draw a design into the frosted glass. Edit: the simplynailogical tutorial I was talking about is the raindrop nails one.
Have you thought about using a glow in the dark gel topper that I was thinking that would look cool to place underneath the nail as a lil sparkle in the dark.
I have loved all things "nails" (makeup & hair as well) since I was about 14. When I went to Cosmetology school when I was 19 (1979-1983), I got my hours, took makeup artistry classes, got ceritifed in both then decided to take the Nail Tech classes, too. Our choices were acrylic or BackScratchers. I wore acrylic nails for about 30 years. I'm retired now but still do my own and friend's nails. Then I started seeing this stuff called "Gel Nails", investigated it, bought everything that I needed and let it sit for about a year before I got the guts to try it out. I finally did, about a year ago and I will *never* go back to acrylics again. Poly gel, had to try that as well (still prefer builder gel) and now those are all I use. My own nails have grown and grown, I've had to cut them down a few times but I love the feeling of not having any "heavy enhancement" on that gel gives you. Acrylic and tips always made my fingers feel "heavy" but I always wore then long. I still love watching Suzie's channel even though it's basically all acrylic but I love that she's getting into gel now. This was a great video! All Suzie's videos are inspiring!
These really are just beautiful! But.. her nail beds are even MORE GORGEOUS!! Literally the most perfect, long nail beds I have ever seen. Definitely hand model material right there Miss Suzie!
Seriously so amazing seeing you work with Fuzion 🙌🏻 It’s an amazing brand built by an amazing lady who deserves more recognition for her products 💕 (Also Canadian so that’s a win 🇨🇦) Ps. Gripzion is a GAME CHANGER for problem lifter clients! Ahhh I can’t say enough good things about this line 💕 Susie, these nails turned out amazing!! I LOVE the chrome twist to make the nail beds look extended, genius 🙌🏻
Jelly shoes were definitely my thing back then, I was born in the early 80's. These nails would be perfect with a little sparse glitter inlay, like the shoes always had.
I'd like to give a huge applaud to the camera man and the editor of these videos, they are goals. So beauteful made. Light, camera angles, sound, music, timing, everything is so perfect!
i never wanna make you feel like your videos bore me, but i can’t sleep without noise, and i put this video on and i was asleep so fast. your voice is so peaceful 🥺
These jelly nails are lush! As a relatively new nail technician, I am learning so much from watching your tutorials and I enjoy them so much. I am due to start my training using light elegance at the end of the month and I’m super exited! Thank you for sharing your expert knowledge x
I am an eighties baby and grew up wearing jellies A couple weeks ago I was shopping and saw a brand new adult sized pair Totally bought them They are clear grey jelly with holo glitter like inside them More grown up color but the glitter is still very girly too though So now I am trying to figure how to do my nails to match them This set is very pretty Suzie keep it up Your explanations of the details are very valuable to inexperienced nail techs and amateur nail artists alike
That's really surprising to me that they didn't teach nails! I went to cosmetology school in California way back in 1981 and we were required to do at least 10 sets (100 total nails) of acrylic nails and 100 regular manicures, even way back then! It was *really* hard to get all of the required number of procedures in our 1600 hours and many of us had to take extra time to complete those requirements. If you don't mind me asking, where did you go to school and how many hours were required? Does your state have state board exams? California has always had state board exams, even back in the 1930s when my grandmother got her cosmetology license.
I was born in the 80s but I was never allowed jelly shoes "bad for your feet". I felt like such a let down to my friends haha. Love from South Wales UK :)
Your parents were right! Jelly shoes were absolutely *miserable* to wear! There was a reason the models in the ads for them always wore contrasting ankle socks under them, and it was to a) keep your feet from sliding around on a slippery layer of sweat and dirt, and b) (help) prevent the awful blisters those shoes always caused! They were really cute, but ungodly uncomfortable!
Lauren-Elizabeth Dyer I never thought of that, but it makes sense! I was finally allowed my first pair of plastic Skechers slides and booooyyy did they tear my feet up!
I absolutely love the tutorial part of the video obviously, but I really love just seeing Suzie work without an explanation as well with the music in the background! Great work!!
So beautiful! I'm almost 60 and no - I never wore jelly shoes but I remember the neat colors they came in. I have just begun using gels on my nails (I always used acrylic) and I must try this - Thank You!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. My daughters had the same exact color for their Jelly shoes. I will never forget my daughters begging for a pair of Jelly shoes, and when they finally got them, couldn't stand the fact that they made their feet sweat.....lmao. Love ALL the polish colors, which for me is really unusual. Thank you.
We're both showing our advanced age here, Sister! 😄 But like you, I never wanted a pair of Jellies on my feet (how sweaty they'd get in the Summertime!!😲), but who could've imagined almost 30 years later we'd be loving them on our fingertips? 😊 And that chrome makes them over-the-top GORGEOUS. I'm doing this tonight! Thanks so much, Suzie!
Wow! These nails are gorgeous. You truly out did yourself. I loved jelly shoes in the 80s. I had a purple pair to go with my favorite Little Mermaid outfit.
I adore your videos. You are such a good teacher. I don't even do nails, but I just love learning and watching how-to videos. I would love to see a video on how you do your hair. You have the most luscious, voluminous curls, and I love it!
Can you do stuff with more loose glitter or real flower inlays? I really loved one of your older videos with a coffin- shaped flower inlay! I also love anything involving glitter or gold! Absolutely stunning
I really like how you made this video. Speeding it up and letting us watch you still build the nails and not just moving to the next step. I very much enjoyed this video! Plus i love the nails!!
I just love your work. And i love jelly shoes!! This is really stunningly pretty. I'm an ole school acrilic lover but am ready to cross the boundaries. So many different things can be created these day. Thank you.
Suzie I can't believe I forgot about jellie shoes. I can remember having a pair and them making my feet get blisters. But those nails are gorgeous!! Wasn't really into them but the way you did it, makes me want some like yours!
So gorgeous!!! And the silver base under the jelly colour is such a great idea to keep the beauty of the look for a whole month without seeing the growth of the natural nail underneath! Definitely love them!!! :-)
I had jelly shoes..jelly necklaces and bracelets. I never thought it would come back 😜 These are the absolutely BEST SET I've seen! 💜💙 ya Suzie and cameraman!
So pretty! I can't get over that absolutely clear glass gel...you could've stopped after the chrome & had an amazing look, too! 〰💙 I did love my jelly shoes back in the day...& jelly bracelets! I'm remembering that my favorite pair of shoes was a kind of muted fuchsia with embedded glitter. I sorta miss them...you are so right about the fuchsia, it was everywhere!
grey roses omg jelly bracelets! I loved them, too. I had a ton and some had liquid and glitter inside. My fav jelly sandals were turquoise with silver glitter.
I was a child of the 80s my thing was jelly shoes I had a pair in every color made I loved them and I think jelly nails are cute great idea Suzie very beautiful
Love this twist with the silver under. Looks really pretty. Jelly shoes are back in style and now they have many designs/styles and colors, some even have glitter and bling. I won't use them tho, I remember how my feet would get really dirty whenever I would use the old Jelly sandals. And that fuchsia 💄 lipstick OMG we wore the he'll out of it.
Such a light, steady touch. True artistry and experience at work, pleasure to watch (but a little frustrating if you are a beginner expecting the same ability lol). Awesome vid.
These are stunning! I've got to get into my studio today & do a set of these bad boys! I too remember the jelly shoes, never had them ,but the 80's Rocked in fashions! WHAM!! LOL the chrome with it really made me love them!
I love this design! I used to love jelly shoes as a little kid lol I love that you made a smaller almond shape with the metallic so you don't have that awkward free edge underneath. I wanna do these in green lol
I am learning so much from your videos! I thank you so much for what you do! I only knew how to do acrylics from getting them done 20 or so years ago, now I can just watch all your videos! It's just great and wow how far nail art has come!
Literally just threw myself into the gel world and SUZIEEEEEEEEE i was wrong . I was an avid acrylic head .. but even a sandwich nail is sooooo efficenttt . Gel issss time consuming coming from acrylic but the precision is patience-forming . I love it . Thank you for this video , your own talent and cameramannnn !!!!! 💕💕💕💕
Suzie, you posted this on my birthday! Awesome timing you always cheer me up. Thank you for all your videos. I am way, way north of you so this was the only way I could learn how to do my own nails.

I just found your channel and immediately subscribed. You are excellent at what you do! I’ve worn nails since the 80’s and am a perfectionist...And, your nails are perfect. Love your demeanor and voice too!
Gorgeous & I just love your music choices too. I remember wearing those jelly shoes when I was 3 or 4 & now my little girl has a pair too. Funny how these fads come back around again! ☺️💗
Imagine scratching your back with these nails. Total bliss
Ishan Ali I'd imagine it would look like you got attacked by a cat...
Imagine wiping your ass with them
You are everywhere 😂 I guess we like watching the same people 👌
kim smith 😂😂😂😂
I see you everywhere
I absolutely love this! I’m not really a huge fan of the “jelly nail” trend because I don’t like seeing the nail free edge underneath. It seems... unfinished or something. This completely solves that, and looks beautiful at the same time! Lovely lovely ❤️☺️
I actually agree with you - i guess thats why i created this 👍🏼😀
You can also sculpt the nail with clear on the bed, clear on the extension, but fade just a biiiit of cover pink over the natural free edge to obscure it. I feel the same way about jelly nails!
Makeup by MandyW agreed!
ur like the bob ross of nails
She really is 😭😭😭
Imagine if she did tiny little happy paintings on her nails. Totally immaculate mountains and sunset etc. She would be Bob Ross if he reached God level lol. I'd be like bowing to this queen

Yes Jelly shoes!!! I got happy at your intro. I'm a 80s baby and the thought of how they smell made me have happy memories. Ok, I digress😄🤗
Sograteful 2012 the funny thing is that I have VERY small feet so I actually have a pair of jelly flats.
I used to wear jelly shoes but the ones with glitter.
I remember jelly shoes, but the slide on flats. I honestly think the sandal kind like in the pic she showed are the "reboot" from the 2000s.
Omg the smell of them were amazing lol. I had them in the 80s/90s baby. I had a glitter pair too lol
Julie Flood yes the smell! Ah, so many great memories with the jellies 😄

Thanks Liz 😘
Have you thought about using a glow in the dark gel topper that I was thinking that would look cool to place underneath the nail as a lil sparkle in the dark.
I love that idea!
These are gorgeous Suzie! I've really been loving the jelly nails 🍓💅
LongHairPrettyNails I saw your jelly nail vid too...it was good. nice and simple.❤
Hate to tell you girl but you're too dark for her to reply. Lol and I love your video too😚

Please do a collab with Cristine @SimplyNailogical!! Y’all are the absolute best!! 😊
Yass! You could do one another's nails! Or you both could do a combo design?
And Christine would finally be forced to do a nail design again 😂
I was literally thinking the same thing ! It would awesome !
Suzie appeared in one of Christine's vids
Pleaseeee I was just thinking that!
These really are just beautiful! But.. her nail beds are even MORE GORGEOUS!! Literally the most perfect, long nail beds I have ever seen. Definitely hand model material right there Miss Suzie!

Thanks Talia! I am so excited that Suzie made these gorgeous nails with our Fuzion:-)
Jelly shoes were definitely my thing back then, I was born in the early 80's. These nails would be perfect with a little sparse glitter inlay, like the shoes always had.
These are by far THE MOST BEAUTIFUL JELLY NAILS I HAVE SEEN DONE😍😍😍💅🏻
I just Love how she is very patient with her work. U can tell she truly takes care of her clients.😇
Look at you!!!! From Acrylic to gel! You go girl!
Growing up in the late 90s/early 2000s, this look really reminds me of those translucent pool inner tubes! I had one in this exact color!
OH MY GOD YES
Thank you Suzie, it's such a pleasure to see a tutorial by a true professional. Those nails are beautiful and cat like.
I'd like to give a huge applaud to the camera man and the editor of these videos, they are goals. So beauteful made. Light, camera angles, sound, music, timing, everything is so perfect!
Cameraman filmed, edited and picked the music, and sound mixed the video. Thank you for your comment😘
Oh gosh, I’m so in love with this woman, with her voice, with the way she talks and how she works!! 💕🥺
I have been binge watching your videos for the seventh time!!! Also, you have made me want to be a nail tech when I am old enough. Thank you so much!

Props to camerman's edits in the middle of the video while Susie builds the nails! Bravo!

grey roses omg jelly bracelets! I loved them, too. I had a ton and some had liquid and glitter inside. My fav jelly sandals were turquoise with silver glitter.
@@sophievanderbilt1325 I forgot the liquid bracelets, those were so cool!
I'm breathless, this is beyond beautiful, wow.
I love that there's always a backstory to your nails it's so much more pleasant then just watch a plain tutorial

wow! I don't care much for the shoes but those nails! I want!
I love when u do nails on others because u actually look at the small details.. but when u go to a normal nail salon they don’t really do that
You are the nail goddess! I love watching these even though I attempt very few. Such talent.
Suzie, I just LOVE your natural nails!! 😍😍😍😍 They're so nice 😫
Anyone else find these nail videos so relaxing?? Chills me out lmao
A video two days in a row?!? You are spoiling us 😘💓😊
Literally just threw myself into the gel world and SUZIEEEEEEEEE i was wrong . I was an avid acrylic head .. but even a sandwich nail is sooooo efficenttt . I just want you to know how AMAZING your sound is! I hate having to use headphones to hear a video, your sound is BEAUTIFUL! 🙌🏻 to your audio mixer!
Awww thanks, it's great to hear Cameraman's efforts in the sound is appreciated😘
I had a pair of jelly ballet flats in the early 2000s and man, nothing could give you blisters quite like those could 😂
Loving your voluminous hair, Suzie!
Suzie, you posted this on my birthday! Awesome timing you always cheer me up. Thank you for all your videos. I am way, way north of you so this was the only way I could learn how to do my own nails.
Am hooked on your videos because of the details. You are the best suzie
Suzie you’re an amazing artist but how about some appreciation for the editing 🙌🏻
these are my favorite nails you’ve done so far!!! LOVE jelly pink :)
I am impressed with all the Fuzion products, very nice 💖
Me too
Thanks!
Omg these nails are to die for! You should do a tutorial on how to apply gel nails with a dotting toll. When I went to nail school my instructor did it that way and I found it was so much easier than using a brush so I retired the brush :)
You out did yourself! Stunning!
Yes jelly shoes.... I remember those... Beautiful
I just found your channel and immediately subscribed. You are excellent at what you do! I’ve worn nails since the 80’s and am a perfectionist...And, your nails are perfect.
Love your demeanor and voice too!
They look like icicles when you take the form off! That'd be a cool winter look, icy blue nail bed with icicle clear tips!
Gorgeous & I just love your music choices too. I remember wearing those jelly shoes when I was 3 or 4 & now my little girl has a pair too. Funny how these fads come back around again! ☺️💗
