I grew up listening to heavy rock/metal, then in 2018 I first heard of Dimash. In 2019 I flew from Amsterdam to New York to see him live. The show he put on just blew me away. I'd never heard a voice like his in my life, When he did his version of Diva Dance (from the 5th element movie) I was hooked. Like you said, it's not the sort of music I ever listened to, but he changed that for me. If you can, check out "Diva dance" and have your mind blown.
This is the tip of a very large iceberg. Dimash performs everything from pure opera to rap, with plenty of pop, rock, folk, jazz and even metal thrown in to make every song and every performance completely different from the one before it. He is from Kazakhstan, sings in over a dozen languages (this one was French), sells out arenas and stadiums all over the world in cities like Moscow, London, Prague, Hong Kong, and New York (where he sold out Barclay Center in December of 2019) and routinely draws fans from 65-70 countries no matter where he is performing. Just because he graced some Russian stages & was loved by many there does not make him Russian. And his huge heart, and deep soul he puts into all his performances- if you cannot differentiate that from an unfeeling man made creation then thankfully you are in the minority.
No worries about how often we have watched Dimash's videos, we never tire of him. First, if you continue to react to Dimash's videos, remember there are cc's with English subtitles. You say this isn't what you might gravitate to music-wise, but, Diamsh is not a one-trick pony. I hope you venture further into his music. He is not just a singer with a good voice. He is a dynamic performer. He puts his soul into every song and performance. I am not trying to convince you to like his music; to each his own. I am simply saying, to listen to more of his music and be ready to be transported to a state of musical nirvana like you could not imagine.
That, my friend, is your introduction to the most technically skilled singer alive today. He has a massive fan base worldwide, people fly in from up to 60 different countries for his large concerts. He is less well known in the west than he should be because he is an independent artist who will not sign with commercial labels. He has his own production team and sets the bar very high in all his work. I would suggest Stranger next, New Wave 2021. It’s in English and has an epic Game of Thrones sort of vibe. Thank you for trying out some Dimash! He's an absolute gem Dimash doesn't have a style except for Dimash style :') He doesn't confirm to one genre. He just does what he does and tells stories through his music. He is so talented, he can draw tools from any register, technique, genre to fit his story telling and the emotion he tries to protray. Which is why you'll see in his songs that he mixes many tools from different corners of the music world. This man stands for kindness, tolerance and world peace. Like you've read in the comments, he has sung in many languages (often in one concert, which often last between 3-4 hours. People aren't sure how many he has sung in by now but it could be 17?). He is also heavily involved in directing some of his music videos. He plays multiple instruments as well which is always a treat when he does
The Digital Show was a pandemic concert, so there was no live audience. I love Dimash's voice--the range and tone, the ability to go from a classical voice to a pop voice. He also has a great stage presence. He pulls us in and tells us a story.

You don't have to like Dimash Qudaibergen (aka Dinmuhammed Qanatuly Qudaibergen), but you do have to know him. The human voice covers eight octaves, and Dimash can master seven of them. He just can't do the deepest one. Higher than the eighth octave is also possible, but the human ear can no longer tell the tones apart and only hears a whistle. He sings here in French because the song comes from the French musical Starmania. Dimash himself comes from Kazakhstan, south of Russia, in Central Asia. I really don't understand why anyone would say it's not my style of music oh but hey I'll give props to anyone with a voice like that, yea they deserve great respect, What was the point of saying that ... Dimash sings in many genres, there are times he mixes all types of music together,it's just great to keep an open mind that's what makes you enjoy someone like Dimash.... He's just so far beyond other performers ,when you check out other reaction channels you'll see just how many metal & rock loving music people are dears, total Dimash fans , many have been to see him live. Its all about having an open mind heart body and soul to "listen" to what you're hearing.
I tried to do a few more reactions of his, but they were completely blocked. I do stand by what I said. I have a ton of respect for his talent, the music itself is just not for me. It’s ok, I am sure I listen to a ton of bands and songs that don’t appeal to some people. I am very open to hearing more from him.

He does Michael Jackson and I heard Queen and many other styles. Listen to Across Endless Dimensions from a sci fi movie. He dances too. Sos is from a French Rock Opera. The person was singing over the body of a girl who had just been shot. The last 3 words are Sleep child sleep. Also when you see videos of his concerts from all over the world there are thousands of fans in attendance. When he appeared in NY I heard there were fans from 65 countries that came.
Genuine question here? Is it just the US that's so plugged into liking only one genre of music or is it a worldwide thing? I've always been pretty eclectic in my music tastes although metal and rock were my favourites. I think it's why I love Dimash so much because he's genre defying and you never know what he's going to come up with next. Although his songs with a rock edge like War and Peace and Durdaraz are always my die hard favourites. His recent blues song When I've Got You has topped the list for me now though.
I can’t say if it’s a U.S. thing or not. I think most people listen to the same type of radio station. If you only listen to the same station you only get exposed to what that station wants you to hear. That is the reason for my channel. I am on a journey to see what else is out there. @@MattsMoshPit1 good point, I'm from the UK and I think we tend to be a bit more eclectic in our music tastes over here although obviously we do have ones that we prefer over others. Although saying that I always said I hated jazz but when Dimash did a jazz funk combo with Durdarai I absolutely loved it. I think his ability to weave different genres into one song gently encourages me to experience many different things. I would never have believed I'd listen to so many songs in different languages either but because he has sung in 15 different languages I just flip on the subtitles and away I go. As he expects us to sing with him at the concerts most of the Dears can now sing in Kazakh, English, Chinese and Russian.
@@debbiemorgan859I think it’s a personality thing. There are many people around me who hear only one type of music and others who like diversity - all from the same country. I myself like many different types of genres and singers and normally get bored pretty fast. Often I hear something a few times and then move on. But I‘ll probably revisit them some time later. 😅 Only Dimash seems to be the only one I don’t tire of. Perhaps because he is like all the others combined in one person. ❤

He got those in-ears because he was always having a lot of trouble with previous ones. They seem to be pretty robust because he's not always so kind to them when he gets excited at concerts 😅😅

That, my friend, is your introduction to the most technically skilled singer alive today. He has a massive fan base worldwide, people fly in from up to 60 different countries for his large concerts. He is less well known in the west than he should be because he is an independent artist who will not sign with commercial labels. He has his own production team and sets the bar very high in all his work.

Dimash doesn't have a style except for Dimash style :') He doesn't confirm to one genre. He just does what he does and tells stories through his music. He is so talented, he can draw tools from any register, technique, genre to fit his story telling and the emotion he tries to protray. Which is why you'll see in his songs that he mixes many tools from different corners of the music world. This man stands for kindness, tolerance and world peace. Like you've read in the comments, he has sung in many languages (often in one concert, which often last between 3-4 hours. People aren't sure how many he has sung in by now but it could be 17?). He is also heavily involved in directing some of his music videos. He plays multiple instruments as well which is always a treat when he does

You don't have to like Dimash Qudaibergen (aka Dinmuhammed Qanatuly Qudaibergen), but you do have to know him. The human voice covers eight octaves, and Dimash can master seven of them. He just can't do the deepest one. Higher than the eighth octave is also possible, but the human ear can no longer tell the tones apart and only hears a whistle.
He sings here in French because the song comes from the French musical Starmania. Dimash himself comes from Kazakhstan, south of Russia, in Central Asia. The state was formerly part of the Soviet Union. It is sparsely populated and mainly exports raw materials of all kinds. Like many countries in this region, the past is glorious, the present is rather sad.
Dimash's parents are professional musicians, he himself studied singing and composition. He became internationally known primarily through his performances at Chinese competitions in 2017. His repertoire is as extensive as his voice. Unfortunately metal is not one of them ;-)
His name is also spelled Kudaibergen, in China Dí Mǎ Xī.
He also plays piano, dombra, drums, guitar, marimba and bayan.

Dimash sings in many genres, there are times he mixes all types of music together,it's just great to keep an open mind that's what makes you enjoy someone like Dimash....
He's just so far beyond other performers ,when you check out other reaction channels you'll see just how many metal & rock loving music people are dears, total Dimash fans , many have been to see him live.
Its all about having an open mind heart body and soul to "listen" to what you're hearing.
I tried to do a few more reactions of his, but they were completely blocked. I do stand by what I said. I have a ton of respect for his talent, the music itself is just not for me. It’s ok, I am sure I listen to a ton of bands and songs that don’t appeal to some people. I am very open to hearing more from him.

Also when you see videos of his concerts from all over the world there are thousands of fans in attendance. When he appeared in NY I heard there were fans from 65 countries that came.

Genuine question here? Is it just the US that's so plugged into liking only one genre of music or is it a worldwide thing?
I've always been pretty eclectic in my music tastes although metal and rock were my favourites. I think it's why I love Dimash so much because he's genre defying and you never know what he's going to come up with next. Although his songs with a rock edge like War and Peace and Durdaraz are always my die hard favourites. His recent blues song When I've Got You has topped the list for me now though.
I can’t say if it’s a U.S. thing or not. I think most people listen to the same type of radio station. If you only listen to the same station you only get exposed to what that station wants you to hear. That is the reason for my channel. I am on a journey to see what else is out there. @@MattsMoshPit1 good point, I'm from the UK and I think we tend to be a bit more eclectic in our music tastes over here although obviously we do have ones that we prefer over others.
Although saying that I always said I hated jazz but when Dimash did a jazz funk combo with Durdarai I absolutely loved it. I think his ability to weave different genres into one song gently encourages me to experience many different things.
I would never have believed I'd listen to so many songs in different languages either but because he has sung in 15 different languages I just flip on the subtitles and away I go. As he expects us to sing with him at the concerts most of the Dears can now sing in Kazakh, English, Chinese and Russian.

There are many people around me who hear only one type of music and others who like diversity - all from the same country.
I myself like many different types of genres and singers and normally get bored pretty fast. Often I hear something a few times and then move on. But I‘ll probably revisit them some time later. 😅
Only Dimash seems to be the only one I don’t tire of. Perhaps because he is like all the others combined in one person. ❤
I definitely know people who only listen to one type of music. It’s an easy trap to fall into. This channel has been keeping me from doing that
