- (January 2023) This is the freight elevator at Target in St. Louis, MO. It is a MEI and was installed in 2005 by Kone. This elevator has a super loud and epic motor!

Well, Kone installed this one. It's common for other companies to install elevators with MEI stuff.

I knew about Schindler installing MEI under contract while MEI went through restructuring. I wasn't aware of KONE did MEI installs.

Nice freight elevator with an epic motor! So are both elevators installed by KONE or MEI? I'm a little bit confused because I just read the description, it said it was installed by KONE in 2005
Kone installed it but the equipment is MEI.

Does the passenger elevator next to the freight elevator use the same elevator machine room and share the same shaft as the freight elevator?

Well the freight is used to move the carts up from the garage.
What do the signs say that the yellow arrows are pointing at on each door?
If you are the last person off the freight elevator press the door close button freight elevator will not move until door is closed

Door stop works on this one
Door stop usually works on freights.
@@stlelevators true but not all. I've ridden two with working door stop this one and another MEI freight at the State Street Target Store in downtown Chicago, Illinois

There’s no way to get to ride a freight! There’s one at Macys Galleria Ft Lauderdale that got replaced with this type of elevator.
