Thanks for the playthrough! While watching to learn, I noticed that in this scenario at 23:46, don't forget to reroll (once) for spawn if the first spawn roll results in no spawn (described in the rules immediately above the spawn table); in this case, it looks like you skipped straight to no spawn. This scenario is much more punishing with more spawns.
Ive been keeping an eye on this game since they announced it. It looks like they captured the game and mechanics perfect. Hopefully we'll see you do another play through.
I backed the base pledge and I'm really excited for it to show up. Wish some of the other components were more reasonably priced during the campaign though.
So glad to see this covered! Waiting for mine to arrive at the moment and my one main concern was upkeep/time to play etc, but it looks like the game flows pretty well! (Especially with insane luck on your side 😜)
Would love for you to demonstrate the other scenarios in this game since you did such a great job explaining how everything worked. Also would like to see how the other elements of the game play out in real time since you got incredibly lucky in this play through. 😊
Well I'm nearly half a grand poorer, thanks! It's all good; I've sunk hundreds and hundreds of hours into BL2. So I think this was a solid choice. And these videos are the absolute best in helping me decide in whether I should get something or not. Just seeing the gameplay and deciding for myself. This one looks like a fairly light/quick dice chucker that can be very swingy depending on the drawn level up bonuses/the loot you find/etc; which to me is exactly how BL should be. I remember the good ol' days of getting repeatedly destroyed on UVHM... and then getting the BEE (and a Sandhawk perhaps..) and suddenly turning the tables around. Heh, good times.
Lots of keywords! Although, if you’re familiar with the game most either are fairly obvious or intuitive which eases the keyword burden a little. Lucky of course as would be imagined with dice chuckers. Looks fun to me!
@@OneStopCoopShop to clarify better haha, I meant if you’re familiar with the video game some of the effects are more obvious. Definitely didn’t mean to sound snarky if I did!
@@CoryLovec14 oh, good call, and no you didn't sound snarky :) I played a ton of Borderlands 2, and played Telltale's Tales from the Borderlands, but didn't play the other games in the series much.
I backed this one and was feeling some regret - worried that it was going to be a bland cash grab even though I love Borderlands. You’re okay through has me super excited again though because this looks like a lot of fun.
I’m 99% sure what I have is the final version, and it depends on the loot. As I explained in the video, card loot needs to be picked up, but loot with money on the back is auto-picked up
In the computer game, ammo, health and cash etc is automatically looted, equipment ie weapons, shields etc need to be picked up. The shown game mechanic mimics this.
I just got the game yesterday. Still learning the rules. I was hoping you could help answer a question or 2. If my VH is attacked, if I have a pistol?? I use my range stat to defend?? I thought it had to be a reflex or melee skill when you're attacked. I can't find the answer anywhere but when does my shield recharge? And last question, what is the medical stat used for? The rule book doesn't have an example. Please and thank you. If you have any advice, also hit me with your wisdom lol.
All of these are in the rules, but they are easy to miss: Pistol - check under the keywords, but yes a pistol let’s you use range to defend against melee instead of your own melee skill Shields - shields recharge when the mission ends. I think there might be a second way that rarely happens, but I can’t remember what it was! Medic skill - when you use a healing loot you heal wounds equal to 1 plus your medic skill. So if you have 2 medic you’ll heal 3 wounds from yourself with one loot Hope that all helps!
I think you are confusing Mordecai for his pet. He did start adjacent to the tower, but then Bloodwing's rules allow him to start adjacent to Mordecai, and in this case I started him on the mailbox. Hope that clears it up!
It’s on the list! But so are about 20 other games at the moment. My group is about 4 missions into the campaign, so will still be several weeks I would guess
@@OneStopCoopShop It was all over the place at first, with the highest tier not offering everything and needing addons for a complete package, it wasn't until a bit in that they added a proper "All-In" with everything, besides one unreached stretch goal that could be added as an addon.
Tbf I don't think it was bad personally, that's just the nature of Kickstarter. It seemed like MFC at least listened to comments as the campaign was going on and made changes, more than can be said for a majority of KS campaigns
@@cheackertroop Oh absolutely they turned it around, just a bad first impression. You can still find KS review videos criticizing the campaign around the time it started. :P

Oh man, totally missed that rule in all my plays of this scenario. Certainly would improve some of the swingy difficulty I've experienced. Thanks!

I still want to catch a ride, but obviously that wouldn’t fit the whole arena vibe 😅

Even when the luck has been more normal, the sessions have been pretty quick

I didn't enjoy the game that much playing further into the campaign, so I already culled it, sorry!
This was supremely helpful thank you ❤ please make more tutorials (if you have the other VH's, id love to see breakdowns on their abilities)
They only sent the base game
I don't care if this game is any good. I need it Mister Torgue is one of the greatest characters ever made.
Luckily, I think the game is also pretty fun so far
@@OneStopCoopShop it really looks that way Mike. I enjoyed watching you play. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

The keywords are mostly second nature for me after 3-4 plays, but I still forget which status effects do what (since they trigger pretty rarely)

Board layout reminds me of Blackstone Fortress.

Great video as usual, Mike. The bag pull luck is great as usual. Wouldn't expect anything less.
I on the other hand wish there had been a little less luck 😜
Thank you for this helpful video, the rulebook was really terrible to read...
By the where did you get that fancy dice tower? :)
It’s the Chip Theory Hoplomachus dice tower. You can buy it straight from them. Not sure if it’s sold anywhere else
@@OneStopCoopShop oh nice, thank you i will look for it ^^
Rigged dice tower can only roll 11's!

@@RejectedProductionsX it's also pretty poorly organized in my opinion, so don't blame yourself ;)
Lets say the badass psycho survived and was wounded, what would you have used to mark its health?
I think it’s the same red/wounded tokens you use to mark your own wounded actions.
Why did mordecai start on the mailbox? Shouldn’t he start adjacent to the starting spawn tower?
