I also came here to comment about the slice of cheese!
Slice of cheese is what I eat so I can get the necessary hunger and energy to actually feed myself something a little more substantial than a slice of cheese - or at least make some coffee 😂

You're almost 36? M-me too...👀😳🤨 hehe hehh... Totally not lying at all. Whoa, was that lightning? Pffff, it's not a if I've been on this earth for 4 and a half decades come this March 27th. I refuse to admit I'm anything above 36, like... tops, I usually go with 32, tho! I just don't feel older than 22 or 25, but that's a bit young to call myself, now I guess.
Regardless of what you wavy to call my age at this time, I was also recently diagnosed with AuDHD, and it has opened my eyes and is changing my life one little step at a time! If I could have had this kind of awareness as a child or teenager, my dog, the things I could have done or been! It makes me weep.

I was recently diagnosed last week thanks to you. I'm 37.
Months ago, I was looking into ADHD behaviors for my son (14) and came across your page. You made me realize: 💡
"Oh sh*t, I think I may have inattentive ADHD. Didn't even know that was a thing."🤯
So, thank you for explaining things in a more humorous way to better understand why I do what I do.
My son was diagnosed yesterday with inattentive as well. I feel bad for my husband but at least it's explains his biggest pet peeve: my impulsive interruption 😅

Them figured that the inattentive version is exactly me. My son is the hyperactive type.
      So... I'm 37 BTW.
And yes.... I felt like a failure all my life.
When I realized that this is me... and realized why I am how I am and do what I do the way I do... I cried for days straight.
I couldn't get my head around this.
So... thank you with all my heart ❤.
Thanks to you I realized all this. ❤❤❤

    • @D1MPL3Z
      @D1MPL3Z 7 місяців тому +6

@paperhana @MonalysChannel Girl, I'm 37 as well. My son is 14. Tell me if I'm wrong... It's like having all these physical/medical symptoms but always un/misdiagnosed. You go do research, find the right doctor who finally figured it out. Although the issue will never be technically cured, it definitely makes you feel better knowing what it is that caused the symptoms. (If that makes sense). Like your primary doctor thinks you might have lymes disease. But you have an autoimmune disease. It's not ideal, but at least you got a diagnosis and understand what's going on with your body.

OMG!! Songs here, too. I noticed mine aren't totally random songs, they're the songs I heard at that time the day or two before, on the radio en route to work or at work. It's like the radio playlist runs on repeat in my unconscious brain. It can be so exhausting and irritating b/c my brain isn't resting. A good guided imagery sleep meditation is helping a lot. Turns off the voices too, for a while. I don't even pay full attention, drifting in & out is ok.

Watching this while eating an entire 4 ounce package of smoked trout, the largest thing I’ve eaten yet today (and the only thing, other than cashews and coffee with oat milk) due to being immersed in a questionably advisable side quest for the past several hours. At least I had a productive morning and afternoon consisting of several dog walks, a hyperfocus that actually got me most of the way to checking something necessary off of my to do list, and a virtual appointment that I was only 10 minutes late to.

The crazy thing is for the majority of my life, I thought I was broken. I thought I was too quirky and weird for other people. What I have realized is that I only get along with other people who have ADHD too. They are the ones I can feel somewhat comfortable with. Neurotypical people and I, dont mesh well together.
I also was not aware for 40 years of my life (I'm 42 now) that I had ADHD which made me feel wretched and like an unlovable outcast for most of my life. The only reason I looked into it was because both of my boys have been diagnosed with it. I noticed on their report cards that they were having issues with talking excessively and being disruptive in general. I looked back at my own report cards from when I was a child and they said the exact same thing! So I got them both diagnosed so they can get the help they need to succeed that I never had the opportunity to have. If I had been diagnosed as a child, my life would have made more sense. They didnt think girls had it back in the 80's, that it was more of a boy's issue. It hindered my life significantly, especially my self esteem. I dont want my children to have to live with that same fate. They deserve better.
Thank you for your channel and your aspects of women who have this condition. I cant stand the idiots who go off and say this is a made up, behavioural issue and that everyone has it in one way or another 🙄 My now ex best friend made sure to tell me that every time it came up on my end 🙄🤦‍♀️ Hence one of the huge reasons why we don't speak anymore. I dont have time for judgemental morons in my life.

    • @MorteDallAlto

Preach sister! I relate to everything you said, I was diagnosed recently enough at age 41. I cannot stand the "everyone's a little bit ADHD, blah blah blah" nonsense. It's ignorant, insulting, and infuriating. I mean most people have had low blood sugar at some point, but nobody goes around saying "everyone is a little bit diabetic sometimes".
      Anyway, weirdos unite! 🎉😊

I'm 53 and just got diagnosed with ADHD. I already suspected I had it since I first heard about it twenty years ago, and so many people around me who advised me to one day go for a test. But like a real ADHD-er it was stuck on my to do list for many years but always ended up deep down on the list, because it is really not a fun thing to do and as a single mum I had enough on my plate. Till I got a burn- out last year and the company controlling doctor send me to the psychologist and that one concluded it was ADHD that was 90% the reason for my burnout. So finally almost under force finally went for official tests. Just learned that I score almost max on almost all fields. Still wander how I didn't get myself in terrible problem all my life, but think working in many social fields saw every possible way people can mess up their life, and I knew that I should really not do that. But It was and is still every day a struggle to life a "normal" responsible life. But still trying so hard I still feel I mess up every time. Still every time I fail in things others do naturaly. Forget to cock food till my son starts complainig he's hungry after he finished a packet of cockies because I forgot time, still end up in a shop 15 minutes before closing time totally stressed out because there where so many things to do I saw getting dressed and forgot time. Suddely realizing it is 3 am and i'm surposed to get up at 7 and now I know tommorow will be a struggle because of lack of sleep and many more struggles like that. Seeing your video's is like seeing myself. On one side it explaines a lot and kind of makes me a little proud that I didn't mess up big time. but I have to be honest I can not watch more than two or three because every time it's like " oh no, not that also" . It also makes me sad about all the struggles and stress I had that maybe was not neccesary if I went for a test earlier. I also feel guilty towards my son who often had to deal with a totally stressed out mum over nothing. We have a good bond and he seems to be a happy confident teenager now, but still wished I could turn back time.
Next step is treatment. At least I hope the next years will be a little easier.
