Sissy Spacek is still very beautiful! She just turned 70 on Christmas day 2019, which is kind of hard for me to believe, but she certainly has remained beautiful all these years!

The 70s don’t feel like that long ago at all yet all these people are already in their 60s, 70s and 80s. Just goes to show that time really flies to fast in the blink of an eye and boom you’re already old, it’s sad and scary to think about 😭
Keep in mind most of those "high school kids" were in their late 20s when the film was made. Sissy Spacek, for example, was 26 playing a 16 year old.
CARRIE IS AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE
Its great to see most of the cast still alive; its been 45 years! since filming 1975.
Fun fact: Priscilla Pointer who played Amy Irving's mom in this film, is her mom in real life.
Pricilla Pointer is still going strong and is 96 years old. Bless her heart

One of my favorite horror movies
Its an incredible movie.. Beautiful use of slow motion, brilliant editing, all those multi colored lighting effects at the prom, and some of the most amazing camera work I have ever seen. My father finally buckled and took me to see it when it first opened , I was 13.. and yes, it scared the crap out of me. I remember being very creeped out by that split screen thing when she finally snaps at the prom
Definitely one of mine as well. The remake was AWFUL; it had no soul to it at all. I cared about these characters, especially Carrie. After all, both Piper Laurie and Sissy Spacek garnered Academy Award nominations. Unfortunately for them, that was the year Hollywood kissed "Network's" backside. They both deserved to win.
I was a young teenager when I first seen Carrie and that ending has stuck with me all these years! Great memories!

I knew Sissy Spasek was 26 during the movie but I didnt know just about every girl that was in the high school was in their mid 20's.
This reminds me how when I was a kid I'd look at old people ( and to me old was like 45 ) and thinking how far off that age seemed. And now I'm in my 50s in the blink of an eye.

I absolutely love the hell out of the movie it's a staple in my horror collection I have it on scream factory blu-ray the company did an amazing job cleaning the film up so we can fully it in HD. Sissy Spacek and Nancy Allen are still fine af they aged very well I hope to look as good as they do when I reach their ages
