I would like to know from where the vocal goes into Auto-Tune? Is it after ALL the 500 rack processing? And from where the vocal split to the FOH? Is the FOH doing is own Auto-Tune?
A question from someone who is starting to use digital mixers, why use so much analog equipment if you are supposed to have everything in a plug-in? Should we then go back to analog mixers?
This is a wild amount of gear for an in-ear mix. I'm surprised that Mutec clocking box gives him such an audible improvement. Compared to other clocking boxes or compared to not having any clocking?
Hello, The Wonder! A clocking system is a device or circuit that provides timing information to synchronize the transmission and reception of digital audio signals between different components in a digital audio system, ensuring that the audio bits (0s and 1s) are sampled and reconstructed accurately. Without a clocking system, digital audio signals can be out of sync, resulting in clicks, pops, and other forms of distortion. Thanks for the interest! Travon I would love to physically see that this summer in Milwaukee 7/18! Based off this video I would see about getting something like that for myself in the future. I would presume that it costs a fair amount but if you’ve made a fair amount of money to be touring and recording then he could obviously have it shipped to whatever location.
Over the top processing for something that's not even audible to the audience, and someone who can't, for his life, sing... even auto tune can't handle him live... 😢

"Why so much outboard gear live?"
I'm sure he really wanted to say because they have the money and it's just MORE FUN lol
My boy!! So proud of you and the progress you’ve been able to see. By grace!
That rig is sick! Wow!
Fantastic interview and great to see Mike Picotte on camera!
Someone is running sweeps in the background, for setting up the speakers in the arena?
L acoustics and other branded speakers have testing/measurement software that runs sweeps to help tune the system to the venue.
It's all Post processing right?
Right guys?
booooo. take my like and leave lol
So incredible. I get to mix on avid s6. Can’t imagine having this chain for IEM

It makes me happy knowing Austin is still so well taken care of. Keep it up! 🤘
Go Nephew!
Beautiful music to share
Happy to see this 😊.
What is a clocking system? can someone explain what it is and what it helps? And what it would be like if they didn’t have it?

It’s funny that there’s significantly more analog front end on his live vocal chain than any studio record.
maybe because there is no additional post-processing and re-takes.... only one chance for it sounding good
Well yeah live sound is all “front end”

Good stuff
This is fascinating fr
Ballin gear yo
So am I getting this right, there is no band? Monitor world is just feeding one set of ears?
There's no band, but I'd assume some of the crew is being fed to their own in-ears
a word: Excesive.
If you don't have that many inputs to worry about, why not go the extra mile with outboard gear.
