    I started playing (trying..) golf 5 years ago, watched countless hours of YT golf instructions from Dr. Kwon, Rick Shields, Me&My golf etc, if ur new to golf believe me when I say Milos concepts work. Don't deviate when you have a bad round, you'll end up right back here.

    Thanks to you showing training videos with Dr. Kwon with his rhythm method and this guy confirming the ‘over the stick on the back swing and under on the down’ I have stopped pulling the ball and hitting it straight plus adding a little distance.
    I can’t say how happy I am! Now I want to help others here by adding to what I have learned through the videos I’ve watch.
    Stop thinking back swing, part one, down swing, part two. With the laying off of the club at the top of the backswing and the start of the transfer of weight before completing the downswing think one rhythmic whole swing! Ensure you feel the club head throughout the process! Ensure you allow and feel the shallowing of the club DURING this one swing. All this has also helped with the lag!! Soft hands so you don’t grip and pull!! Feel the movement. One whole rhythmic swing keeps you loose and not tense!!!
    It’s working great for me. No I’m not smashing 300yd drives. However I’m older than I care to say and hitting 250. I grew up with the Stones and Beatles so that’s not bad. And I hit a fantastic driver ‘stinger’ into the wind today!!!!
    Anyway, I can’t thank you enough. I will continue watching looking for more top tips to help.
    Help me with my putting now!!!! 🤣🤣🤣.

    Hi Brendan,
    The main reason that Milo can do that is because he never gets off of the ball or at least more that one ball and by the time the transition (collection) is finished, he is already done moving forward so then he can just rotate and push away.
    The swing will always be in trouble if you are trying to recenter while rotating. The body sees those as opposites and prioritizes re-centering and creates a stall.
    Milo is never in a hurry.
    Alan

    I just like the sound of milo hitting the golf ball and the fizz as it rockets down the range. Yall should get back to doing videos together more often. Good combo.

    On Alex Elliot’s Channel, he had a good analogy on this feeling of the Right Wrist. He basically said- feel like your Right Wrist is losing at an Arm Wrestling Match on the downswing.

    We have to remember that only advanced golfers can feel hands and body go together. As a slicer I had to feel that my hands start from the top and body turn comes by the swing turning my body, that was the way to ger rid of the outside to in path. Milo is also speeding his hand from the top even if he doesn’t realize it necessarily.

    Swinging to the left is a result of the upper arms being connected to the upper torso at impact , a strong pivot and a shallow approach.
    Notice in Milo’s hip high to hip high swing in the early part of the video that his right wrist is still in extension at the end of his follow through

      @@teddywilliams2512 seems that I can't post a link. It's similar to the drill Brendon did with Jay Keel on the video Hit it like Rahm. Its just a bit more free flowing, leg driven and accelerating as fast as possible.

    From what I see and I have tried it is to compress your torso into the leg to get that rotation. My problem with this move is it wrenched my back a bit. Young man’s move

  • @merkeva1841
    @merkeva1841 2 роки тому

    I think if you can keep the clubhead back with lag tension with the hands out racing the chest before impact you can turn very hard and you will make good contact

  • @nelsonjames1272
    @nelsonjames1272 2 роки тому

    I believe the answer to Brandon’s question about what’s the easiest way to make sure you exit left is the timing of the recentering move. That split second extra with your back to the target as your arms naturally start to drop
    strengthens the body connection with the arms to float through to the left, effortlessly, or so it may seem.

    I’d like to know how much pressure Milo puts into this trail foot to help his turn. Also, he needs to talk about his Duval/Annika like head turn.

    • @edlasatergolf
      @edlasatergolf 2 роки тому +3

      Hi John, I teach on the Milo Lines Academy. When Milo flexes into and circles back his trail hip his pressure shifts into his lead foot, then leg. He also turns his head before contact to open his chest more through impact.

      His ground force data is in the driving force. He triggers left to 95 percent before the club goes back. After that I forget but it’s in there

    I actually don’t even know how he makes those wrist circles so well.
    Also I wish I had a better sense of this idea of the right wrist being “pinned back” in extension by the pivot. I’m not sure I necessarily can find that sense.

  • @billygraham5589

    Another nice lesson from Milo.
    But Brendon, here’s the question; does that “inward loop” (a classic swing move) Milo demonstrated come into play for a fellow that takes the club and hands back less straight back and even slightly to the inside? Would seem that kind of backswing would not be one to be followed up with inward loop on the downswing, but just a swing on plane. So are you and/or Milo promoting a more straight back backswing - reaching back further on the target line... then you gotta loop inward or...?

    • @BEBETTERGOLF
      @BEBETTERGOLF  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah. I would promote a straighter back backswing/ takeaway. The reason is if you are shifting your pressure athletically, the FORCE from that pressure shift will want to PULL the club in a straight line back. You don’t “set” it stating back.
      The force pulls it straight in a line. If it is going under it USUALLY means that you SPUN before your shifted which is a sign that you are already starting off out of sequence. This is why so many bad golfers suck it under on the backswing, there starting sequence is poor.
      So a straight and in line backswing became more common with video BUT also as swings had to become more athletic and faster. A good athletic sequence and getting the clubhead in line with the hands usually works together.
      There are always exceptions tho of course.

    Nice video! Trying to swing left yet hit the ball on the inside and swing in to out has been the puzzle I've been trying to figure out for a long time. BTW what are they using to get the club/ball data? I don't see a trackman when the camera switches to front on

    • @MiloLinesGolf

      Most high level right to left players start with face open example +3 degrees to right path and +1.5 degrees to right with face while swinging to the left with the divot will produce a draw. Opposite for fade would be -3 degrees left path and -1.5 degrees left face at impact would produce a fade. I took lessons from Hank Haney 30 years ago and I remember him telling me most drawers of the ball set up with face open and faders closed. Seems counter intuitive. Launch monitors not available back then.

    If you really want to let the club exit left, don’t you have to keep the left arm connected to left armpit? I’m watching a lot of videos of M Sagstrom on LPGA. I think she’s the best “swing left Hoganesque”-swing I’ve seen.

    Hi B. Great video as usual. I’d be really interested in why the guys on the champions tour don’t have the Milo swing version yet can still get it out there and go low and be consistent. I think Milo is great and follow him closely but this differential would make a great set of videos to showcase.

      I'd say Milo has the least "stock model" swing of any coach. His students don't all do the same thing. Instead he focuses on motions and sequences, then matching things up for accuracy. He ultimately wants you moving welling with a square face, but swinging your swing.

    OWN your own RIGHT FOREARM BRANDON, Draw = 2 to 1 path to face the bottom line. Perfect sequence on top of the ball at 11:30 Worst 12:37 way too MUCH wrist movement IMO here in Whittier!!!*
