In this episode of KPOP KOUNTDOWN, I ranked GFriend's dances from easiest to hardest. This was the hardest KPOP KOUNTDOWN so far! If you know of any groups with EVEN HARDER dances, please leave them below!

Personally gfriend have those type of dances that look girly/easy/flowy/light when they actually have a lot of footwork and hard moves. Not every group could do them.
Ena Žia one time I was watching glass bead dance and I was like 'wow how is this dupposed to be hard' then at that moment they got their leg up to tgeir ears xD THat happened twicee
yes twice and gfriend, people be like there dance so girly it’s looks easy but then when you try to learn it it’s hard
chaerily, as someone who knows Twice and GFriend dances, I can say nowadays the Twice choreo is pretty hard but when they did the cute concepts it actually isn’t hard. Cheer up is really easy which took me like less than half an hour, Heart shaker, what is love, and other songs took me less than an hour to learn. And I’m not a professional Dancer. But Twice songs nowadays are hard, harder than BlackPink, so I only know how to dance to the early Twice songs.
GFriend dances are really hard. Most of them, that is why I don’t know more than half of them, I only know Glass bead (9 hours to lear), Me Gustas Tu (31 hours) and Love Whisper (72 hours). My friend doesn’t like KPop and doesn’t like it when I show her KPop related stuff but she was amazed by GFriend which shows how hard GFriend dances are even though they may look easy

Once you get the choreography down, speeding up is actually not that hard to do. It's annoying, but doable
*former drill team/dance team chick who's director would always speed up our music at contest*
To think that Gfriend notoriously is very perfectionistic about their choreo is actually crazy, because the choreo is already HARD as it is but then they manage to perfect ANGLES (iconic vid of teacher sinb directing arm degrees) as well as live vocals wth they're actual gems

They probably practice extensively to execute it perfectly. That's why they do so well in all the challenges because they know it by heart. I was really impressed when they did one dance blindfolded!!

Junia Ive never heard anyone say gfriend’s choreography isnt hard or say their dance is meh. Probably the exact opposite. To me they have one of the best dances and synchronization in kpop. Sure, I’ve heard cute concepts are “easy” but to gfriend no way. And I was going to comment the same as others as in innocent does not equal cute. I get what you mean though.

This is a proof how no joke Gfriend choreography is. Although she did very well on covering their dances, however it feels like the movements are different while Gfriend themselves executing it. Also note when Twice cover Gfriend's MGT song, it still seems different if Gfriend did it themselves. Anyway, a really good job there😊

I knew love whisper would be #1!!! And you didn't even do the spins the exact way they did either! Cuz they're like fast, then slow then fast again and slow again all in each spin if that makes sense. Also can you believe that they debuted with glass bead and me gustas tu was their first comeback after debut?!!
For Love Whisper they don't even slow down, they literally stop their entire body's momentum half way through the spin and then start again. Its insanely, almost mind bogglingly hard to do with any amount of accuracy, let alone IN SYNC? Gfriend are just amazing.

I would rank Labyrinth as 7 or 8 in my experience! The most difficult thing of it -in my opinion- is the angle position and connecting movements. I swear, you have to know very well where to put your legs and arms so it’s not seen rare lol
Labyrinth isn't a tittle track, it's the b-side of Crossroads.

Intro & First stanza :
1. Stand side away and hold hands.
2. Let go quick as Fuck and tapdance with your feet 8-9 times, then jump into your very first position and push your foot out to one side, retract your foot back within one-half of millisecond and push up off your feet in a cute way.
3. Let sinB pass through the triangular formation.... Shrug your shoulders cutely as she sings
4. Skip your way into a pentagon formation
I don't think their dances are as hard as gfriend, but dreamcatcher has some pretty fast dances without the posing/flowy moves( which is to be expected due to their sound and concept). They might be one to look into. Only group I can think of that might come close
i would argue that dreamchatcher's choreo is harder than gfriend's because of the use of strong powerful movements and quick dancing

@@selenep735 Hi as a dancer, GFRIEND really has the most hardest choreos together with ITZY now. Because their execution is really exceptional. Not everyone can pull off their dances. Yeah Dreamcatcher also have hard choreography, because the beat of their songs are really fast so the choreographer tend to match the beat with the dance steps. And I agree that Dreamcatcher's dances are tiring tho.
As a Somnie myself, I would disagree. I think Gfriend's choreo is overall more difficult than Dreamcatcher's, but Dreamcatcher is definitely up there as one of the girl groups with the hardest choreos.
-Dreamcatcher choreo is more fierce and often more formation-based (very tiring choreos!) - which I would argue is where a lot of difficulty comes from with their choreo - an good example of this is Piri, which might not LOOK that hard individually when compared to their other choreos, but the way they synchronize in formation is where most of the difficulty comes from.
-Gfriend's choreo is often quite elegant and/or quite fast and foot-work-ey. As you could see from just Fingertip and Love Whisper, before even considering formations and synchronization, from an individual perspective, the choreo is super difficult - and yet Gfriend is still one of the leading girl groups in synchronization and formations - up there with the likes of LOONA, Dreamcatcher, and I want to say ITZY? (Also waiting to see what Weeekly can do with their choreo)
-That being said, I always considered Dreamcatcher and Gfriend to be alongside eachother concept and choreo-wise, they are like opposite ends of the same 'style' if that makes sense. :)

Well the hardest one is also the hardest dance movement for gfriend. They claimed that the dance movement is more tiring compared to others. Btw i'm glad that u are finally cover them!!
Sunny Summer was a a break for their hard choreos and just a special release but here I am twisting my waists like a cork.
Gfriend dances are so powerful and unique! Doing dance covers for me gustas tu and glass bead were almost as tiring as boy groups dances...AWESOME JOB PLOPPY
The thing about GFRIEND's cheoreography's when they dance all together they make the dance look easy and when they dance it looks so good and satisfying. Idk it looks fluid? (lmao) and the fact that they are stable when they sing while dancing is God tier, yet many people still disregard their hardwork.

I think Oh My Girl is highly underrated group in terms of dance. They're all very good dancers and in my opinion (another fellow dancer's opinion), they have a few of the most difficult and intricate choreographies in kpop, yet they're barely even mentioned when talking about great kpop dancing groups or hard choreos.
GFriend used to be my all time favorite group in terms of dancing but when I discovered OMG they quickly tied with them.
It amazes me that Gfriend preformed Love Whisper Live ON WATER
Do dreamcatcher . I'm not saying Gfriend is harder than dreamcatcher and dreamcatcher is harder than Gfriend. They have similar concepts and really the two fandoms do support each other. So dreamcatcher. If you do boy groups please do astro they are also know for insane synchronization along with amazing vocals

Me Gustas Tu has a separate dance break at the bridge part and it requires so much energy and power with the high jumps and big spins at the last chorus.

If you're ok with this, i'd like to recommend you a group: dreamcatcher! They are called the darker version of gfriend (because of their concept being dark and their hard choreos). They only have eight official korean title tracks but they also have japanese tracks! All of them would be: Chase me, Good night, Fly high, You and I, What, Piri, Deja vu and Scream as their korean title tracks. Full moon, Over the sky, Sleep-walking, Red sun and Black or white as b-sides. Breaking out and Endless night as their japanese title tracks. All of them have choreographies.
I and other Somnias would love to see them in your channel. Sincerely I love this type of videos♥

I was JUST thinking yesterday after watching gfriend’s Debut to Fever stage compilation that I hoped you did them soon! You did amazing!!!!! Quick note, if Glass Bead is one of the most tiring choreos you’ve ever done, imagine doing it for 9 hours a day, which is what Gfriend did leading up to their debut. it’s INSANITY. great video! i love this series so much

I know a fair amount of kpop stans believe in this (but if u are not one of them I know u exist too lol)
Having a girl crush concept = hard vocals and hard dances
Which is actually not true girl crush concepts tend to have limited vocal range (due to idk hard beats and all) and not really impressive dances
However I have seen that girl groups with more cuter and musical concepts tend to have songs that are difficult to execute.
We need to support cute/musical concepts more they are looked down upon for no reason.
Couldn't agree more! The girl crush concept looks harder just because the beats are faster and the dances seem powerful. But if we pay a little more attention to the cutesy concept the songs are pretty hard and the dances have so many little details. I remember when lisa got challenged to impersonate twice's dance directly and she screamed "oh my gosh!" even though she still nailed it at the end. But it shows that we shouldn't underestimate girly and cute concept.
That would be hard for international fans to do girl crush was forever be bop for them while cute concept was not their cup of tea.. Only a few fans and knets can appreciate gfriend songs since koreans can understand their song so they are more into the meaning of the song than to catchy while I-kpop fans are the other way around.. I've even seen a youtuber says she don't care if the song has empty chorus as long as it is fun which is weird for me cause I go tired with those kind of song and isn't it more good if the song is meaningful?

@Anny's World nahh I disagree. They just applied the concept of passionate melancholy in their all songs. There's no such "I'm supposed to be lady" even in their lyrics the songs always about "I'll give you hope " "I'll be your light " and their lyrics are genders neutral too. They don't specifically put their songs for a certain gender so any genders can sing their songs. While girl crush are always directed to how confident they are. "Despite of being women I can do anything" and some fans said "feminism" . You don't need to do girl crush to show "i don't always need to act like a lady" I recommend you to listen and read gfriend's glass bead lyrics...gfriend don't need to go dark just to show "I'm not supposed to always act like a lady" and fyi gfriend is still under source music and the changes of their concept now not bcs of bh bcs they said they really want to show a different side for this time. They put efforts in the production so it's not bcs of bh only. They said they won't leave their innocent concept too in the future.

I seriously wonder how many times any of the members have sprained or injured their ankle or leg practicing cause their choreography are insane especially Love Whisper, if any like beginner dancer tried this they may or may not sprain their ankle.The amount of times they injured their ankles or leg is actually lower what most people think. Props to Gfriend. Disclaimer:I don't really listen to Gfriend but I really agree with most of the comments, they are truly talented.

I can see why love whisper is the most difficult - in particular the move when you spin around is very hard since its not just one move so its really hard to spin fast while stopping with a lot of control

I only found this video now (but have seen your past TWICE and Blackpink videos) so I'm glad you learned Gfriend choreographies. They are often underestimated outside the gg fandoms and it upsets me a lot. It's not easy to do those choreos and look cute and feminine
