Please explain to us how this happens. How can someone’s ear have this much stuff in it and they not know about it how is it that they don’t just pull it out themselves or at least try to with a Q-tip

It's not about it being dirty but rather a build up of wax and dead skin (keratin) that hasn't properly cycled out. Just like tonsil stones for those who get them, it doesn't happen to everyone but for those who do experience it, it's just a matter of upkeep like brushing your teeth or clipping your nails It's a normal bodily function that some people need help maintaining and that's okay. I'd rather they ask for help and get it than not ask and struggle with the issue until it becomes too big to ignore
@whithuynh5356 plus various factors like hearing aids, other medical conditions, eczema, etc. We don't know their story, it's sad how judgemental some comments are.

It is. Some people have the gene that makes them produce an overabundance of ear wax. I'm lucky that I don't have the gene.
