Many parts of Southern California where there were Chicano Barrios were established for generations, were "stolen"... in similar ways to Chavez Ravine area. I am not a historian, but wish some serious exposure of the entire SO-CAL were done to reveal the shameful real estate truths of the times. ,
I'm truly sorry for what they did to your family and all the other Mexican people that lived there. Shame on them for taking your land away, but we all have to face God some day. That's for sure...........

My Mothers Family live there from 1922 until they got evicted. they lived at 1811 Paducah St. in Palo Verde, They were the Maldonado's.
