I've just installed mine - they were delivered in 3 days from the USA to Northumberland (England's northernmost and loveliest county), which was great service. The only slightly tricky part was easing the LED boards in to the lamp housing, but after a bit of trial-and-error I got a satisfactory alignment. Everything else was very easy; the lamps work very well, and look great.
Another master class in instruction. OK it’s a simple job but- nothing is taken for granted, instruction is clear, comprehensive and not patronising. Throughout Brandon’s videos I like touches such as making it clear that somethings can be scary (eg dashboard and interior trim dismantling), warning of unfinished metal edges and warning of applying too much force, when it isn’t necessary. Lining up fixings and ensuring things positively click into place are all key elements which are stressed. You may get the impression that I like these videos. I am a novice on cars but I have been a teacher and a coach in my professional life, and I appreciate quality of this type. People posting on UA-cam should aspire to your high standard. Great job. Cheers. Great job
I just installed mine. I took about an hour I was going super slow. One thing to make sure of is that you fully plug the led board into the socket. You shouldn't see any of the metal tabs if correctly seated. Cool upgrade
I installed the rear LEDs in less than 30 minutes. Although, I would recommend a cheapo fastener remover if you dont want your fingers hurting. Thanks for this video.
Ok, now I feel like I was overly harsh so I hope this will let me edit. Have to say the folks at flyin’ Miata are on top of it, and have already reached out to address my only real concern - the rest was mostly being hyper critical, so - bottom line, these do look amazing, I’ll say it again, should come from factory like this and I’d buy them again.
Hi Christopher, You are always welcome to leave reviews on our website! We do apologize for any issues you are having. The metal straps are not used and were included by mistake from our manufacturer. As far as the fitment and the bulb socket that will not sit correctly, I'll have someone here reach out to you to make sure that gets taken care of. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any other concerns or issues.
Hi Brandon, in having trouble with removing the side markers at 9:29. Do you push the tab backwards or do you pinch the tab towards the front while pushing backwards. Thanks
@andrewchan1011 You need to physically push the light housing towards the back of the car, which depresses the spring clip, while freeing the front of the light housing up.
@@FlyinMiataVideo Thanks for the reply and the offer. The problem that arises is the import duties in the EU. I recently ordered barbecue utensils in Serbia (around €260) and then paid customs and handling fees (€80) for them. That's crazy, isn't it!?
I have a 2023 MX5 Sport. I installed the led repeating turn signals on the front fenders and also a read led light bar. After that I bought the rear led turn signals and started on the right side because the left side had the rear led light bar piggybacked. I installed the right rear led and an accompanying resistor. When I tested the lights the rear turn signal worked perfectly but I noticed the led repeater was burnt out. The resistor also got pretty hot so to be on the safe side I reinstalled the bulb in the right rear turn signal. I have a new repeater on the way but question whether the same thing will happen again when I replace the repeater, led turn signal and resistor? Do I even need the resistor if the turn signals don’t hyper flash? TIA
Hello! I just got my 2018 ND RF. I purchased your led lights for the rear turn sequential , license plate, reverse lights, side marker sequential smoked out(great look) and the FRONT amber TURN signals. At each install from REAR to FRONT, I checked that they work. As soon as I got to the FRONT turn signals and installed them, I NOW HAVE FAST FLASHING REAR, SIDE and FRONT Turn signals. Please help. Thank you!
Did you install the resistors? If so, please contact our customer service team directly and we'll help you troubleshoot. We can't do it properly through UA-cam comments.
@@FlyinMiataVideo Yes, but the second set of resistors were hiding in the box face down and didn't see this second set of resistors. I was under the impression that only 1 resistor per side would be enough. I installed the second set in Parallel and hyper flashing is now gone. Thank you! :)
Unfortunately our supplier does not offer them for the NC at this time. So sorry about that. We're looking for an NC option, but don't have an ETA at the moment.
We aren't familiar with that modification. These fit into the factory bulb sockets, so if you have modified the rear bulb harness, these probably won't work for you.
No matter what I do I can’t get the tail light out of the car on my 2022. It looks like you barely push on it and yours comes out, but I’ve put a ridiculous amount of force on it and it’s still in the bumper. Any tips?

@@DaveSimkus yeah, they’re just difficult to remove from the inside. I used a trim removal tool on the outside (make sure it’s plastic to avoid scratching the paint) and it easily came out.

Dang I ordered these lights without the resistors because I thought that hyper flashing was only an issue on EU models and not US models (e.g. EU models having lower voltage vice the higher voltage found on US models). Help please and thank you
There's no difference in the system voltage that we know of. US models work off a normal 12v system. Flyin' Miata does sell resistors to deal with hyper flash - you can find them on our site.

Just installed. Not too bad for an amateur like me. Tested it before buttoning everything down. The resistor gets real hot!
Just installed mine (sequential rear signals) and I love the result. Very good value for money.
If only all turn signal resistors were that easy to install. Gonna get these right when I get my miata 😊

What is the spec for the included resistors?
The included resistors for our Sequential LED rear turn indicator pair for ND are rated at 10 ohms.

The fender mounted lights are available in grey. The stock rear tail housing has a clear lens, so that cannot be changed.
