Brilliant. Does this need a tune?
Civic type R is an awesome car in so many ways, and the FL5 will probably be a classic 20 years from now. That being said, I've heard so many different combinations of intake and exhaust on the FL5, including handmade custom titanium designs, and none of them sound good. I'm sure this PRL intake is great at producing airflow, but something about this car will not allow it to produce good exhaust sound.

Dont hear the bypass valve like on the FK8...strange..wonder if they changed that on the FL5..

Is this ready for a 2024 Integra Type S ?
When will this be available?
Forgive the ignorance, but how is airflow into the box increased? Actually, where is the air even coming from? I see the opening, however it appears to be behind a closed hood blocking that flow. I don’t see the air being plumbed from any other open air ducts, scoops, underneath the car, etc. can anyone explain?
Stock exhaust?
Did PRL stop trying to make anything for the MK5 Supra? At one point I remember an intake being made.
I ask because, my FK8 has every bolt on by PRL, and I'm wondering what brands to go with when I get a Supra. I love my PRL parts on my FK8 and trust them
The Mk5 Supra is on BMW’s B58 platform which is used in basically every modern BMW ending in “40i”. There’s already tons of support from Euro aftermarket companies, so PRL would be jumping into a very saturated market. Not sure if it would make financial sense. Everyone’s heard the memes about the Mk5 Supra being a BMW, but in the aftermarket/tuner world, it is literally a BMW.
@@jayee88 I know all that info, but it doesn't hurt to have another company try and do their thing. Never know, they could probably make a better product. Probably not. I just remember them making a post about an intake they designed for the MK5.
Awesome, do you guys have a full intake for the 2.0 tlx?
Any idea when this is set to release. I have been patiently waiting and trying not to buy another brand intake. I feel like maybe this doesnt have the hp increase you guys were expecting on original testing, maybe thats why its taking awhile. Just curious if its going to happen in the next 3 months? To be honest most of us arnt after the hp gains considering the car can make 500+ with the stock intake. We just want the sound.
