I have lived in Korea for many years. Korea is NOT a country to go to if you are wanting a poker vacation. The one game that runs regularly in Seoul that he showed has horrible rake and no real benefits. If you have another reason to visit Korea, you can likely find a private game somewhere, but since its technically illegal, I would just wait until you get back home. However if you are an absolute addict, getting arrested is extremely unlikely. Again, rake is high though. Also, Koreans are extremely tight as are the Japanese that seem to visit in certain seasons. They aren't world beaters but they are good enough, so you can't just run over them either. The Chinese/Russian players are mixed. Russians often either don't have or are unwilling to buy in to cover the table (something you used to be able to do) he mentioned a 500 usd equivalent max (that makes the game unplayable if true). The Chinese players can be quite skilled as well, but usually if they come over with non poker chips that they won at baccarat that's when you can make the money if they don't draw out on you. I saw a Chinese guy break a whole table just going all in again and again. But that was a one time thing and he said he was trying to bust because he had a flight soon, but instead busted us. If anyone sees this video that was there that day they could confirm this actually happened as it would be hard to forget :D
