    yeah, the rake is actually 8.5BB at their super low 25/50 PHP (0.50/$1USD) game (incl. 25 peso jackpot drop), and the same amount for their $1/$2 which equates to 4.25BB. Drinks servers forget drinks for hours, even after asking them twice on multiple occasions. too many bosses doing nothing, not enough drinks staff. their bad beat jackpot is a waste of time. $50,000 but at least AAATT has to get beat by quads or better which is nearly impossible and they seem to have canned the Flop a Royal Jackpot. also, small teams of Filo players act as a team, all calling in late position to take on a single tourist, which is not good. they soft play each other checking down the nuts. and speak in Filipino about what their hand is during the hand.

    Where to play NL2k+ in Asia? Thought Manila would be the place after Macau shutdown, but watched your two Manila reviews and it seems they barely play nl1k

      Hi, thank you! During the major tournament events Okada will have 2K NL cash games running, but other than that I agree it's pretty Spartan. Australia probably has the biggest games in this timezeone.

      Not even 1k. The highest I have found running are the 50/100 PHP with 300 max buy-ins (which is about 550 US $) On the weekends you can find occasionally one table at 100/200 PHP in one or two places

      Metro Card Club also has 10% rake with 4BB cap, and most tables running are 25/50. That alone is a killer

    Can you please do a Poker room review of Wynn Macau. It's the most famous Poker room in Macau. I've played there years ago. But I'm sure much has changed there. ♤♡◇♧

      @@pokerroomreviews FYI, Macau Poker rooms are back and EXTREMELY hot. NL Texas Hold’Em is very popular in China now.
      (We’re talking 70 people in line at Venetian on weekends for the lowest blinds, and the lowest blind being limited to 4-5 tables, 2nd lowest blinds getting max table count). Highly recommend going to Wynn Macau (not Wynn Palace, no poker room there), Venetian, and both MGM Macau & MGM Cotai.
      Overall lowest Macau blinds are 50/100 HKD (roughly $6/12 USD). So budget well! 5% rake all places. Buy-in around 5K-30K HKD for the lowest blinds. Meal credits varying after X hours. Higher stakes games from 100/200 all the way to 1000/2000 HKD can be seen almost daily at Venetian and Wynn Macau.
      Dealer quality is very good at all places and are strict with rules. No phones allowed while sitting, must stand up to use… even if right above the table lol.
      If you ever want to make a trip, lemme know, I live nearby and can be a guide!

    What's the general quality of live play in Australia? is it similar to US? With a bigger bankroll is it worth to delve into this territory as a tourist or the visas are not as easy to get as in PH? Wouldn't imagine you can stay many months like you can do over here? I am in Manila and finding the choice of game and infrastructure really dissapointing. Only NWR seems to be good, but not wise to travel thousands of miles to rely only on the one place

    • @pokerroomreviews
      @pokerroomreviews  Рік тому

      Poker is definitely fun in Australia, but cost of living and rake is really high. If you have the bankroll it is a stunning location and definitely worth your time!

    Nice place. Unfortunately English only at thd table isn’t enforced and despite my complaints about 2 players speaking tagalog during the hand I was in , nothing was done. I just got up and cashed out. Hoping it’s changed when I return early 2023

    • @corealazy
      @corealazy Рік тому

      Lol why would you even ask them to speak in English when you’re playing in the Philippines. Why don’t you just learn to speak Tagalog? It’s like someone from Mexico playing poker in the USA and asking all the players to speak in Spanish. You sound like an entitled little man. 😂

      PLO gets up at Okada during major tournament series and tends to play fairly big, but is somewhat sporadic the rest of the time. Check out the APPT calendar and align any visit with those events.

    How would you describe the safety of Manila? I would love to stay there but I have heard so many bad reports.

    • @pokerroomreviews
      @pokerroomreviews  6 місяців тому +2

      Honestly, Manila is way safer than its reputation would suggest... If you're in Makati, BGC, Pasig Ortigas or Newport then you're in a western bubble and you'll feel perfectly secure. It's only if you venture into the wild where it might be more risky (and you'll have no reason to).

    Shit casino and country. There are countries in the world where the rake is 4 and 5% and without bad beat. These are the countries we should play in.
    I wanted to go to live in the Philippines because of the developed poker, but when I found out that the rake in the Philippines is 10%, I quickly changed my mind. For this there are Vietnam, Cambodia and Georgia.
