- This great looking coffee table has a rustic herringbone design to it. Wide edging to give it a chunky look, and industrial hairpin legs. A simple build with an amazing finish to it.
Step by step tutorial.
Keep a look out for the video of how I'm going to treat and finish it.

Well done, I love this coffee table.
I'm working with pallets, and I love it.
Great stuff 👍
Wow. Common pieces of wood made into an amazing project. I'm going to have to try this one.
I know it's a pain having a small shop but I think you would benefit and save on filters with a diy dust collector for your shop vac. Other than that great looking table. I plan on using this design for my garage wall.
I am always watching you. I saw you in traffic near the sainsburys in newhaven.
😳
Well done JB, lovely job
Thanks man
I really appreciate how you put a mitre on the frame around the edge! Can’t stand how people put all the work into the table and use butt-end joins for the frame????
Cool, thank you
Nice one Justin, my go to guy for diy'ing. Nice to see you being creative too, cheers
Cheers 👍
Nice!
Hey JB, Great job, looks like a high-end piece from a furniture shop.
Question, could this concept be used in the creating of a wood chess table. The way you glued down each plank may work with my ‘chess table’ project.
In the past I glued each plank side-by-side and then clamped horizontally. Your way I would just glue each plank to a piece of plywood the correct width the chess table and will be.
GREAT WORK JB!!
What was the final demotions of the table and the starting demotions of the plywood if you don’t mind me asking. I think I was replicate your build if that is alright I love the design.
I guess you mean 'dimensions'...?
Finished size is 1340mm x 650mm
The edging is 20mm thick, therefore the plywood dimension is 1300mm x 610mm
❤❤
Superb video! And the table looks so good! 👌 I have a question. Can I just use the wood glue? I don't have nailer and I really don't want to spend money on this just for one project :/
Should be ok, be sure to use plenty of high quality (high grab)
wood glue 👍
Oh and thank you 😁
