    Not being suck up here, but I think this is the best video you've done. All the close-ups really helped me to understand the full process of removing the axles. Makes me think I could actually do it myself when install an locker on my 3.7L.

    Thank you very much, changing emergency brake plates and assembly and didn't realize the axles have to come out. Different job but you absolutely saved some headache on how to navigate pin and clips in rear end. Thanks again...

    I had the same leaky axle aeals, I added a 50/50 mix of stop leak and saw dust, it's been 5 years and still no leaks, you did all that work for nothing!! 😉

    Where do you buy those parts? Most auto parts are easy money driven and don't have specialty parts.

    When replacing the diff oil, hope you added the Mopar anti-friction additive our you will be doing this again soon.

    • @niterbum
      @niterbum 5 років тому

      what is the anti friction additive?

    • @joenorris449
      @joenorris449 5 років тому

      @@niterbum If you check say a Haynes repair manual or maybe the owners manual it will tell you what additive to add if any; on my 2006 liberty when i replaced the gear oil (diff oil) it called for an additive. When changing the axle and pinion seals I used the additive as called for most times by the manufacturer. Here is an example; again depends on the make, model, type of axle you have as to if you need an additive or not.www.ebay.com/p/Mopar-Limited-Slip-Additive-4318060AD/1341858125?iid=320949080974&chn=ps

      thanks Joe
      i was at the parts store and all they had was a synthetic 75w-140 gear oil with the additive already in it, the owners man says 75w-90 syn or if trailer towing, 75w-140syn. and to use the additive with models equipped with the "Trac-Lok" tm

    What is the rear axle on a kj? D30 or 8.25 or niether?

      8.25 on all KJ's I believe, if you are still interested in it.
