When commuting to NO downtown and their airport from Slidell, you have to constantly check the traffic from Slidell to the causeway from Mandeville instead of heading over the high rise to get to it. Many times, the faster way has been over the causeway. Google maps and other apps that show realtime traffic is an absolute must nowadays.

You should have seen Slidell prior to Hurricane Katrina. It's like before and after Christ.
It was like paradise before Katrina. It is now on a fast decline post Katrina.
