Good review. I need a welding table but i dont have space in my garage for a giant one and i could bring this to the job making it that much more useful
Great review! I am so glad they made things right... HF is a really well run chain, they have a fair return policy and back all the products they sell. Thanks!
Nice to see you got it all worked out . I didn't assemble mind until about 15 year's later . Have some small projects and decided to use it . Other video has the problems I had assembling mine . I'm going to see if I like it ! If not I will get another ,Texas BBQ Smoker and use that as a welding table . I haven't tried welding and cooking at the same time , Yet ! 😅
I’ve been toying with the idea of trying welding, and this looks like the perfect starter table. Hee hee, not the first time I’ve heard of someone having to go back to Harbor Freight for a working kit, though… :-)
I just got one today on sale member price but I needed something inexpensive and great quality compared to big box stores they were twice the price and it would have had to be ordered. Harbor freight if it’s in Stock you can walk out the same day and you get a better price. Always check for deals the name of the game is to save money!!!
Out of the ones I have, only one has an issue with the top rusting and it's one from when they first started selling them. It has seen a lot of use but it was left outside for a while and had standing water on it during a project build. Between the weld spatter and the water it developed some rust. I cleaned it off but the zinc is pretty well gone in places.
After I got my welding table I did couple mods, first I put casters on it. Then I took the post and drilled out the spot welds in the tabs that hold the legs onto the post. Drilled a series of holes up the post shaft. Now I can raise and lower the table height. After several years and much welding of projects, my only complaint is that the table top is warped from clamping things down. Would I buy it again, yes. My limited space and the need to work outside on long projects, it fits my needs.
Same thing happened to me with a variable speed buffer/sander from HF. I got it home and the most important piece is gone. Haha, the buffer still works though. Nice video.
Harbor freight’s new and improved titanium welding is awesome. $164.68 with 4 clamps, 2 extended stops, 4 V buttons & 4 bump stops by. Check it out. Thanks for sharing.
Just don't beat on it too hard. They're not really thick enough for any remotely heavy work. I got mine free starting out and passed it on to another younger guy about a year ago. Oh and don't weld to the zinc table indoors. Zinc smoke is bad for ya, can be fatal, worth avoiding.
14 gauge steel would bend pretty easy, it definitely wouldn't be something you would beat on. And you are referring to "metal fume fever". Welding and cutting metals with zinc causes this. For those who don't know it will give you flu like symptoms! When I was younger I was welding on a galvanized project and didn't know any better, it made me feel pretty I'll. Typically it only lasts a day or two and your body purges the toxins. I've known many of fellows who have experienced this! When I weld indoors I wear a positive pressure air fed mask under my helmet, I just don't take any chances anymore.

You can also connect tables together to make a much larger table.

put L part of edge guides facing under the table , hint clue ...easy to tighten no interference
Nice video. Mahalo for sharing the follow up! : )

Awesome !!
They are junk, The table top warps from heat and becomes useless.
You don’t trust 300 lbs but you trust couple hundreds pounds. Lost me there buddy.
A couple = 2. I'd trust 200lbs, not 300lbs. :)
@@1D10CRACY Can you explain in plain English? I don't think this guy understands complicated math jargon like we do.
