In order to become pirate king other's dreams have to be defeated. Who knows maybe the D initial stands for dreamers.
Wonderful JB! I think Roger's backstory could be a foundational piece of One Piece storytelling in the end. Particularly more potent given how Oda is handling the Kuma backstory (as of 1097) and shows the amount of love he gives to all characters. Think of how great the story will be for the eventual King of the Pirates!
The Davy-back point you made for Rocks made perfect sense for how whitebeard and big mom ended up joining with Rocks. I don’t know how I never pieced that together🤯
I always have this theory that Rocks is what happened if Luffy never able to 'round up' his group. What if Luffy never able to further unify his crews under the 'Straw Hats' banner? Maybe much like Luffy is a man of freedom, so does Rocks. Maybe Rocks is even more free, so free that he didn't bother to unify his crew. Everyone is free to do whatever they wanted, from joining in, leave the crew, dropped in and out of the missions on a whimp, loot each other's shares, etc. That's why Sengoku says that fight among the crew is prominent, because Rocks never bother to tame his crews.

This is actually quite sad to think about. We always see Roger grinning and full of confidence, but having to kill his own brother is a pretty horrible predicament.
Perhaps he sacrificed himself to save Roger from a St Garland attack. Maybe Garland was thinking he could get the most points in this hunt by killing two major pirates and went it but like Ace did for Luffy, Xebec sacrificed himself to save Roger
I really love the idea that Rocks lost his crew. When Luffy “lost” his crew he knew “I have to be stronger” but if they had actually died and he knew he had to get more crew members I’m sure the thought would instead be “THEY have to be stronger”
What I find interesting about this theory is that if Ace had survived in Marinford; he very well may have mirrored Shanks in his pursuit for being a great pirate, showing kindness and compassion towards those weaker than him and would have built a crew that rivals him.
Man I can just imagine Rocks watching his entire crew falling apart, and seeing his story coming to and end.. with childhood flashbacks with Roger, as Imu nukes the island into non-existence. Alone and abandoned... kinda similar to how Luffy cried to Ace as a kid, saying he's always been alone. That's gonna hit differently if this theory is correct.
I really feel like the Luffy-versus-Blackbeard thing is going to become an illustration of the positives and negatives of "freedom." For Luffy, freedom doesn't mean he has no responsibility to the people he cares about or that he can just terrorize people. Blackbeard, though... I wonder if we're going to see something like that paralleled in God Valley. I wonder if Xebec was about to do something to unthinkably horrible that Roger and Garp were willing to defend the Celestial Dragons over it...

@@DJamz-xp7dc I knew that, but because you said Joyboy does it again so I thought you were talking about Luffy or the Void century Joyboy Thanks for explaining 🥰
I don't think a future where Ace and Luffy are rivals has to end in heartbreak. They could have been the next Whitebeard and Roger - rivals but still respecting each other. The more I think about it, they actually both could become pirate king since Luffy revealed on two instances what his definition of that actually entails: 1. Sabaody when he stops Rayleigh from revealing if the One Piece exists -> he primarily wants the adventure and not just the treasure 2. When Luffy reveals he wants to be the man with the most freedom (and not be crowned, influental or wealthy, what you would normally associate with being a king). Ace's definition could be entirely different and maybe more akin to that of Whitebeard since he has felt a bitterness / loneliness that Luffy does not share.
Whitebeard didnt want to be king, that's why that dynamic works. But child ace tells us he wants to be the best, which means he and Luffy stand in each others way. Only one of them can claim one piece
I agree with you a bit that a future where Ace and Luffy are rivals does not have to end in heartbreak. It is possible that they could have been like Whitebeard and Roger, who were rivals but respected each other deeply. Luffy's definition of the Pirate King is unique and refreshing. He is not interested in treasure or power. He simply wants to be the freest person in the world. This definition is in line with his adventurous spirit and his desire to live life to the fullest. Ace's definition of the Pirate King may be different, but I believe that it would still be something that Luffy could respect. Ace is a complex and driven character, and he has his own unique goals and motivations. I think that it would be interesting to see how Luffy and Ace would have interacted with each other as rivals. They would have pushed each other to be better pirates, and they would have learned a lot from each other. I am sure that their rivalry would have been friendly and respectful, similar to the rivalry between Whitebeard and Roger. It is also possible that Luffy and Ace could have both become Pirate Kings. After all, the title of Pirate King is not limited to one person. It is simply given to the person who is the freest person in the world. I think that it would be a fitting end to their story if Luffy and Ace were both recognized as Pirate Kings. It would be a testament to their strength, their courage, and their love of freedom.
@@JoyBoyTheories I kind of disagree. Roger did not know WB did not want to be king until the end and they still valiantly fought each other numerous times with none of them holding back. In Alabasta Ace had long given up wanting the One Piece for himself, he wanted WB to succeed but that still technically set up a conflict between him and Luffy. That however did not stop Ace from valuing his brother over his ambition. If he was more ambitous about securing the One Piece for himself or Whitebeard, he would have taken measures to hinder the Strawhats (maybe destroy their ship?). Ace, especially as a child, was an emotional mess, cursing his own existence. A trauma that he still hadn't fully dealt with to the day he died. In a timeline where Ace survives Marineford but Whitebeard dies to save him, he would want to help keep the WB pirates legacy alive, maybe lead them but I doubt the One Piece is his priority. I think no matter the setup in any timeline, Ace would always find out that he values kinship/family the most and not a treasure or a title because of his childhood trauma. You would have to remove the part where he hated being Roger's son and make him more selfish to have a different outcome.
The very concept of king of the pirates only came to be after Roger became it. Their goals before that were totally different, Whitebeard just wanted a family while Roger wanted to learn the truth about the world. As Rayleigh puts it Roger could hear the voice of all things. Luffy and Ace wanted to be the best, Luffy wanted to be the King and Ace wanted his name to be known throughout the world, its inevitable that their goals cross each others@@dissect123
You’re wrong bro, Luffy knows loneliness better than Ace does. He felt rejected by the world because of his father and where he was but Luffy was more alone, even with someone who he wanted to be around he was still rejected until he grew on them and even then, Ace had Sabo while Luffy had no one. He had to almost die before they gave him a chance.
I think the Xebec, Ace parallel could be the coolest thing in the series, truly showing that Xebec was not evil but a much more wild version of Roger who’s recklessness inspired many but led to his death.
When you talked about how Whitebeard stunted Ace’s progress, that felt so true. Ace was growing in strength at an absolutely rapid rate before he met the whitebeards, and it begs the question of how strong would he have been had he not joined the crew. It also makes you wonder who Blackbeard would have gone after once he inevitably betrayed Whitebeard. Would he have gone after Luffy? Because Ace would’ve had no reason to hunt him down and discover Luffy was in danger, he wouldn’t pave found out till it was too late. That could’ve been what wiped out the strawhats, and then Ace would be the one staging a breakout if luffy hadn’t just straight up died. Or, would Blackbeard target Ace because Ace was the flashiest fish in the sea. Would he still have taken Ace down, but this time there’s no one willing to fight for Ace and Luffy would’ve perished trying to save him if he caught wind. But would Ace have won, because he was stronger having been more aggressive in his piracy. Who knows. Blackbeard seems to me to be the wrench in everyone’s fate no matter how it plays out.
I do feel Whitebeard betrayed Xebec on the island. He I don't see tolerating some actions and seeing Xebec not caring about his crew would of made the big guy say, "Hey Rodger I'm helping you, but we fighting later on." Which we saw happen in the flashbacks currently shown.
Whitebeard switching sides or withdrawing in disgust while Kaido and Big Mom break rank to grab slaves or try and grab treasure tracks. Rocks could go almost instantly from having one of the strongest crews ever to having no one at all.
Luffy connection to rocks based off one person in the crew telling him not to run ahead is a pretty flimsy connection. You could do the same for Rodger, kid, luffy, hell ivankov yelled at kuma the same way last chapter
Bruh whoever drew Rocks in the thumbnail is a good ass artist. I hope thats what Rocks looks like. He looks like the bad ass black air force energy kid. Looks even more intimidating than Roger.
The man roger was waiting for isn't BB because whitebeard saw in him the failure that was once in Xebec, but roger was waiting for someone to carry the old Xebec's will before his dreams got crushed Thanks for the good work!
This theory is so good that this video feels like Oda's mind. If Oda does this, it's the most epic writing, if he surpasses this, he's the actual chosen one.
I think Rocks defeated Roger or someone close to him and thats why he had felt some way for a year leading up to God Valley. I also thought there was an unknown second-in-command under Rocks that was pushing Rocks to world domination.
Prolly is the last island that they both reached, rodger waited a year to get his get back on xebec prolly cuz he stole something or beat him and his crew
Big mom calls Rock a liar and a cheat in a brief kaido flashback when she warns him not to trust rocks. So he likely had a dirty trick he used in a Davy back fight
Slight tangent here but my biggest problem with the Straw Hats get lucky argument is that there are definitive times when the Straw Hats get unlucky and are forced to deal with how the situation plays out. Not to mention, some of the "luck" the Straw Hats receive is because of the decisions and actions they take. The perfect example is Robin. She was on several other pirate crews before the Straw Hats but stayed because they actually treated her like family.
Even when they get unlucky, this is counterbalanced I feel. But regardless, through strength, determination, connections and luck, they continue to survive and win
And what if Captain John is a mirror for Ussop. It was said he was killed by his own crew I think and if Rocks is his captain maybe he was pulling a pre timeskip Ussop by calling himself captain. The difference being that instead of being forgiven, he was marooned on an island where he died
This goes really well with my theory that Luffy might not be the first reincarnation of Joyboy but he is the one that succeed. Rocks could've been the previous incarnation
I think I would also enjoy an alternate timeline rivalry between Luffy and Ace. That would be so cool bro, because it would be Shanks, Blackbeard, Ace and Luffy in all out battles against each other with Buggy as the opportunist waiting for one to fall😂
NEat theory. Personally I think Xebec got his Crew in a DBF for sure, it was introduced for a reason and I think Xebec actually was an absolute powerhouse. I think Xebec might be a chaotic variant of Luffy's spririt, seeing Freedom as something thats only possible without any connection to others. Him and Roger sharing a past would be great. There is still so much stuff about to happen, its exciting.
This is why I love you. I've been trying to create my own theories for years and not once have I thought this could ever be a possibility. You my friend are GOATED
If IMU is male then i am calling dibs on him being bonnie's father. Reason is the desease is affecting people both under the sunlight and the moonlight (which is basically reflected sunlight but ok), meaning that one would have to wear full clothing attire in order to not have it spread or even survive. Imu's clothing and especially the fact that during the garden scene she/he didn't remove even the gloves, aswell as during the scene in the catacombs with the frozen straw hat he/she is still wearing the gloves is for me suspicious. Reminds me of the leper king in the movie Jerusalem has Fallen. Now of course i could be wrong :P
Couldn't it be any celestial dragon? the only time I recall seeing one without their helmet is inside the auction house when luffy punched it off charlos.
Very interesting thought! Even if Imu isn't the father, the idea that they have the disease and a body almost covered in those stones/gems seems very likely to me.
Would make sense why garp really wanted his son and ace to be navy men. Garp alone of three brother survived, him as a navy man, the two lost brothers as pirates
Idk why but I always got the feeling Garp was Luffy's maternal grandfather and not paternal, he says "your dad" and never actually says "my son." Add to this the fact that Dragon kinda looks like Rocks, it would be a neat little twist if Dragon was Rocks' son who fell in love with Garp's daughter, and the celestial dragons could've done something which led to her death, which would explain why Dragon took his wife/lover's name and vowed to take down the government, would also explain why Garp has such disdain for the Celestials. Also would be a neat twist if Roger's inheritor was actually Rocks' descendant.
What if it's the opposite of what we think, what if it was the crew that for some reason convinced Rocks to go to God valley? Maybe Rocks isn't the one who got them together?
This is Saturns arc The next another Goresei's... repeated until Imu is left. Meanning 6 arcs left counting Egghead. So here's the connection to the video; what if each arc provides one massive Backstory each that connects past to current events... so that last arc with Imu left is the flash back to end all flash backs the Roger one. You see Garp makes a lot of sense but there is another way to view Sabo and how he fit. What if Imu was the third member but unlike Sabo could not break away from family stuff and got brainwashed before replacing the last king of the world. All the Immortality stuff was a lie and red herring in this case. The tragedy being is Roger lost both his brothers but in very different ways.
This is the most insane/sane theory I have heard in recent times, JB you the goat! I genuinely want this to the case, I actually almost believe it is already 💪🏾
I have to tell you when I read rock's dialog I immediately thought of luffy and the strawhat crew. Maybe rock's is similar to luffy being able to have people gravitate toward him.
I really like this theory. Also, I think the reason Roger and Garp were forced to kill Rocks was due to him threatening to kill baby Shanks. Since Shanks is the son of a celestial dragon, and one of the most powerful and outright horrific ones, I think Rocks took him as hostage against the CD's, nobels, Garp and Roger. This could also be why Roger reiterates "A child doesnt bare the sins of the father/parent" to Garp. Insinuating Ace shouldnt be punished JUST LIKE Shanks, whom had fathers that were "not good" in the eyes of many. Roger to the eyes of the world and Garling to the eyes of the pirates and slaves at God Valley.
Can we acknowledge that the fashion in one piece is great? I absolutely love Fisher Tigers "Frog? No, Hippo" shirt. I'd pay thirty bucks for that shirt.
If Bonney could turn people into skeletons then rewind their time, I wonder if she can bring a skeleton back for a few minutes(mainly Ace).Oooo Blackbeard could psuedo de-petrify who he wanted too.
Incredible, Imagine it....Roger, Garp and Rocks all grew up togther. that's insane. but I like it something happens on the island the boys grew up and Possibly could imply Garp wasn't a brother. There was a women involved or brother and they died...causing Rocks and Garp to set out to Conquer the seas in 2 very different ways and ironically Roger is the one to attain it all but tragically dies afterwards.
@@JoyBoyTheories I know this isn't related to this video but I wanna piggyback off of another comment under this video. What if Imu has the skin disease revealed in the last chapter and is only covered in clothing to protect themselves from light? Could be a cool reveal to see their body covered in those stones/gems when we finally get to see their full design?
I love the theory even if I disagree (to me it's obvious Luffy=Roger). You have the equivalent for Luffy, Ace and Sabo but you forgot a key player: Blackbeard. I'm pretty sure he needs to be a part of this too but I can't think of someone that would fit.
Omg. The most subtle joke of the series just clicked to me and I don't know why. Luffy has never paid for anything, which makes sense because in his mind he's trying to be the most free he can be, and so, his food must also be free. I'm genuinely curious if that's on purpose or an accident
Been a long time since I heard a theory that's so "simple" yet so effective for the story, I actually would love to see it happen. I really this a lot and most of it makes a lot of sense for the narrative.
Theres a little detail on the rules on Davy Back Fight that always intrigue me, and for that reason a got the little hope this will be really important in the future arc and that is that Foxxy said to use un-orthodox rules, I assume that changing form the jornal rules to something that actually take the sailor without having to kill the other crew.
Maybe Roger's will to 'turn the world upside down' was actually something he himself inherited from Rocks, as it was originally his dream from back when they were both kids. Like the whole 'king of the world' thing was either a straight up fabrication or misunderstanding on the part of the government, or was a twisted evolution on his original dream which came later after he lost his way and went down the bad path.
The actual ultimate one piece theory. Come on I know you were always the best theorist around but this is crazy Even if this is not true which is more likely, this theory paints god valley as the ultimate tragedy for both roger and garp and if oda can make god valley a tragedy for them it will be the best flashback
What if JoyBoys one piece treasure is his “plan/blueprint to liberate the world”. Which he tells through a funny story, it tells of everything needed people, objects such as ancient weapons. To make them (Roger and crew) laugh when they found out not only that it was a journey, but that they’d already travelled the entire journey needed to complete the “plan/blueprint” but were missing certain things such as Luffy/DF-Leader, Shirohoshi-Ancient weapon etc and also there timing . Now finding out that they were too ahead of time for such “plan”(PARTY) to be carried out Roger and crew chose to inspire and help/guide the future (Luffy and Crew and Fleet) to finish and carry out THE ONE PIECE
I never thought of how Whitebeard held Ace back from reaching his potential. Like Luffy, Ace was a conquerer, but we never see it as an adult, because it was beat out of him. We know how Whitebeard views having multiple conquerers on a crew, it falls apart. It only works when they view each other as equals or family. After Oden, Whitebeard never viewed any of his crew members as equals or brothers, only sons, establishing a hierarchy that could never be challenged. Curbing the conquerer spirit. Meeting Whitebeard may have been the best worst thing to happen to Ace. Ace wanted a father, but he didn’t need one because he had his brothers. Having brothers made Ace strong because they pushed him towards greatness, he couldn’t allow himself to be weak or else he would loose them. But without his brothers, he stop growing, staying weak behind the safety of his father.
How about if rocks is the man covered in flames. He will show up at some point. That would be really cool. Since we all know oda doesn't really like killing off characters.
With this in mind and rocks being similar to luffy. I think Rocks wasn't captain enough to handle a crew properly. Luffy only learned via his firstmate telling him he needs to make sure his crew respects him. Rocks didn't have a firstmate like that so when something tragic happened the crew fell apart. This is why he can't control his davey back crew because he can't earn other's respect.
I think the whole one peice is a parallel, like how oda always parallels things from beginning to foreshadow things later, sabo could been garp growing up nobel as we all know kong was a fleet admiral wanting him to become fleet but he always denied it, and Ace is Xebec, wanting to defeat the strongest man alive and xebec wanting to defeat the strongest army the WG, and Rodger is luffy wanting to become the king of pirates, it all makes sense
I’m NGL I hope that rocks and Roger are brothers and that it reflects ace and luffy …but it makes too much sense and is to oda-esk so once he watches this he will change the story lol
The moment you stopped setting up the parallel between Luffy and Ace, I thought "damn, I know where he's going with this". Great theory man, let's see what Oda cooks!
I kinda doubt he's not strong a bit of it since Kaido specifically imagined Xebec among the greats alongside Whiteabeard, Shanks, Roger, and Oden. Unless it's a Buggy situation, which I really doubt.

Perhaps he sacrificed himself to save Roger from a St Garland attack. Maybe Garland was thinking he could get the most points in this hunt by killing two major pirates and went it but like Ace did for Luffy, Xebec sacrificed himself to save Roger
@@KG45Brham I could see Oda doing something like that, he loves parallels. This is such an interesting thing to speculate on.
I really love the idea that Rocks lost his crew. When Luffy “lost” his crew he knew “I have to be stronger” but if they had actually died and he knew he had to get more crew members I’m sure the thought would instead be “THEY have to be stronger”
Kind of like Moriah.
@@cygnusprime6728 or maybe BlackBeard.
The one thing I wouldn't be surprised about is if Xebec had the same dream as Luffy and Roger.
A rabbit with a gun lol. He was probably going to hunt the celestial dragons
This theory video was in the tier of "now I am sad cause this theory spoiled the story".
Odas drawing of Garp as a child, makes this more possible 🤯 Joyboy does it again 😂♥️
I missed this T.T
Great find!
@DJamz-xp7dc I didn't understand can you explain please if you have time
I know what picture you are talking about but didn't get what you are exactly trying to tell
@@BlackShadow-nm5bw Garp looks like a street kid, so it's plausible that he had a past like his grandson with Rocks and Roger
@@DJamz-xp7dc I knew that, but because you said Joyboy does it again so I thought you were talking about Luffy or the Void century Joyboy
Thanks for explaining 🥰
I don't think a future where Ace and Luffy are rivals has to end in heartbreak. They could have been the next Whitebeard and Roger - rivals but still respecting each other.
The more I think about it, they actually both could become pirate king since Luffy revealed on two instances what his definition of that actually entails:
1. Sabaody when he stops Rayleigh from revealing if the One Piece exists -> he primarily wants the adventure and not just the treasure
I get some Dumbledoor and Grindewald vibes watching this Theory!
Good stuff mate, your theory vids this year been living up to the source material 👏
WHY DO PEOPLE SAY RODGER?
@@Olematonnimi Most either loved the man or hated him. Also it's easier to say.
Whitebeard switching sides or withdrawing in disgust while Kaido and Big Mom break rank to grab slaves or try and grab treasure tracks. Rocks could go almost instantly from having one of the strongest crews ever to having no one at all.
I can see the relationship between Roger and Garp potentially being paralleled by Luffy and Koby
4:24 your editing is the best XD
I didnt expect the kill message 😭😂
Luffy connection to rocks based off one person in the crew telling him not to run ahead is a pretty flimsy connection. You could do the same for Rodger, kid, luffy, hell ivankov yelled at kuma the same way last chapter
The people Roger has met and the things he may have experienced as a child....chills. I can't wait to see his backstory!
10:56 a thunder fall on my head... omg.. what an epic idea...
Bruh whoever drew Rocks in the thumbnail is a good ass artist. I hope thats what Rocks looks like. He looks like the bad ass black air force energy kid. Looks even more intimidating than Roger.
The man roger was waiting for isn't BB because whitebeard saw in him the failure that was once in Xebec, but roger was waiting for someone to carry the old Xebec's will before his dreams got crushed
Thanks for the good work!
Damn this was an insane theory man!
wtf dude, I litterally just watched one of your video's not joking xD Small world
This theory is so good that this video feels like Oda's mind.
The intro makes Gol D. Roger look like the Chick Norris of One Piece.
Bro who is Chick?😊
@@onthearth1 I only reconize my mistake now.
JB theory videos never fail to be thought-provoking!
I think I would also enjoy an alternate timeline rivalry between Luffy and Ace. That would be so cool bro, because it would be Shanks, Blackbeard, Ace and Luffy in all out battles against each other with Buggy as the opportunist waiting for one to fall😂
This would be wild fire 🔥
NEat theory. Personally I think Xebec got his Crew in a DBF for sure, it was introduced for a reason and I think Xebec actually was an absolute powerhouse. I think Xebec might be a chaotic variant of Luffy's spririt, seeing Freedom as something thats only possible without any connection to others.
Him and Roger sharing a past would be great. There is still so much stuff about to happen, its exciting.
This Idea never crossed my mind... i like it!
@@GhostEmblem yes of course. But i just liked this idea and wanted to share :)
Very interesting thought! Even if Imu isn't the father, the idea that they have the disease and a body almost covered in those stones/gems seems very likely to me.
Its insane how you can predict Oda's mind
Ace could have been the strongest but his mentality tied him down. Ace’s idea of making white beard the king diluted his sprit of a conqueror.
8:56
Oda: cracks knuckles
OP fandom: *I sense a disturbance approaching*
Another day, another spectacular JB theory
Holy shit JB, I got chills as soon as you theorized Roger and Rocks being brothers, great vid as usual
Bro Garp, Rocks and Rodger being bros as kids is just more madness on top of what Oda already giving us i love it!
Love the current editing style!
What if it's the opposite of what we think, what if it was the crew that for some reason convinced Rocks to go to God valley? Maybe Rocks isn't the one who got them together?
This is Saturns arc
The next another Goresei's... repeated until Imu is left.
Been watching for years. Hands down my favorite and your best video so far! Cooking with this theory!
This is the most insane/sane theory I have heard in recent times, JB you the goat! I genuinely want this to the case, I actually almost believe it is already 💪🏾
What an amazing theory man. You really are back in the groove...beautiful theory. one of the best I've ever seen. straight fire
Brilliant!
This theory is definitely exciting 😍
Finally somebody talking about Xebeq Jolly Roger
If Bonney could turn people into skeletons then rewind their time, I wonder if she can bring a skeleton back for a few minutes(mainly Ace).Oooo Blackbeard could psuedo de-petrify who he wanted too.
Ive been asking this question too
Incredible, Imagine it....Roger, Garp and Rocks all grew up togther. that's insane. but I like it something happens on the island the boys grew up and Possibly could imply Garp wasn't a brother.
There was a women involved or brother and they died...causing Rocks and Garp to set out to Conquer the seas in 2 very different ways and ironically Roger is the one to attain it all but tragically dies afterwards.
Xebecs crew all had their own agendas. This reminds me of another crew in the current timeline.
Great video!! I always love your theories!
Thank you!!
@@JoyBoyTheories I know this isn't related to this video but I wanna piggyback off of another comment under this video.
What if Imu has the skin disease revealed in the last chapter and is only covered in clothing to protect themselves from light? Could be a cool reveal to see their body covered in those stones/gems when we finally get to see their full design?
would be a badass theory!
This theory implied someone purposely named their child Gol D. Rock... maybe the bullying drove him to the sea
I love the theory even if I disagree (to me it's obvious Luffy=Roger). You have the equivalent for Luffy, Ace and Sabo but you forgot a key player: Blackbeard. I'm pretty sure he needs to be a part of this too but I can't think of someone that would fit.
Rock's silhouette kinda reminds me of gear 5.
I don't know why though.
Omg. The most subtle joke of the series just clicked to me and I don't know why. Luffy has never paid for anything, which makes sense because in his mind he's trying to be the most free he can be, and so, his food must also be free.
I'm genuinely curious if that's on purpose or an accident
This... İs my new headcannon
So when Roger said it’s been one year since it happened, it probably means it’s been 1 year since Rocks lost his crew
maybe...
Imagine that buggy and shanks dynamic but with luffy and ace instead
Been a long time since I heard a theory that's so "simple" yet so effective for the story, I actually would love to see it happen. I really this a lot and most of it makes a lot of sense for the narrative.
Theres a little detail on the rules on Davy Back Fight that always intrigue me, and for that reason a got the little hope this will be really important in the future arc and that is that Foxxy said to use un-orthodox rules, I assume that changing form the jornal rules to something that actually take the sailor without having to kill the other crew.
That's interesting - it reminds me of that detail of the Strawhats considering taking Foxy to end the Davy Back Fight early.
I think you have it backward? I ciuld have sworn it was orthodox rules
great video editing been a fan since you had 2k subs
Appreciate it
Maybe Roger's will to 'turn the world upside down' was actually something he himself inherited from Rocks, as it was originally his dream from back when they were both kids. Like the whole 'king of the world' thing was either a straight up fabrication or misunderstanding on the part of the government, or was a twisted evolution on his original dream which came later after he lost his way and went down the bad path.
This was an amazing theory and it honesty made me cry.
The actual ultimate one piece theory.
Come on I know you were always the best theorist around but this is crazy
Even if this is not true which is more likely, this theory paints god valley as the ultimate tragedy for both roger and garp and if oda can make god valley a tragedy for them it will be the best flashback
Great video 🔥 I remember when I first start watching theory videos Joyboy was a favorite channel. Always had interesting and unique takes.
Now finding out that they were too ahead of time for such “plan”(PARTY) to be carried out Roger and crew chose to inspire and help/guide the future (Luffy and Crew and Fleet) to finish and carry out THE ONE PIECE
you could add that Rocks was said to be Rogers biggest obstacle and fighting a brother would be the hardest thing to do.
This is why he can't control his davey back crew because he can't earn other's respect.
yeah I feel like Rocks gave up on hope cause he saw experienced the evil rather than Dragon who wants to change it
great video, I think you probably 100% right on this one.
This is a really fun and thought provoking theory. Might help me make a few future theories low-key
Unpopular opinion: Rocks Reveal will show that he s either: Monkey D Dragon or Luffys unrevieled mother
I’m NGL I hope that rocks and Roger are brothers and that it reflects ace and luffy …but it makes too much sense and is to oda-esk so once he watches this he will change the story lol
What have i done! 😭😂
Obligatory "JB dun did it again" lml
Btw foxy's head is split like the god valley mountain. Coincidence? I think not
The moment you stopped setting up the parallel between Luffy and Ace, I thought "damn, I know where he's going with this". Great theory man, let's see what Oda cooks!
Strawhats being a small powerful group and rocks being a small powerful group........
I kinda doubt he's not strong a bit of it since Kaido specifically imagined Xebec among the greats alongside Whiteabeard, Shanks, Roger, and Oden. Unless it's a Buggy situation, which I really doubt.
this all adds up, epic video
This is the MAJOR "I really hope it's true" theory in this channel for me
