This vintage Rolex Datejust 1601 from the 1970s features a monochromatic finish and a unique but understated linen dial. Called such because of its textile-like pattern, it features an imperfect crosshatch engraving on the watch dial. This watch comes with a five-piece Jubilee bracelet that gives it a dressier look.

Hello from SwissWatchExpo. Today, we're going to be talking about this vintage Rolex Datejust 1601. If you go to our website, you can find it on our stock number 30384. Again, this is a model 1601 model or reference number. It has a movement. It's got the 3035 movement inside of it with 27 jewels to help reduce that friction and ensure a longer lasting, you know, movement is, is a 18 karat white gold fluted bezel on a stainless steel case with a stainless steel Jubilee bracelet. This is a vintage watch from the early seventies, but man, it is holding up. Great, absolutely no signs of over polishing whatsoever on either the bezel, the crown, the clasp, or on the, on the case itself. Now it does have the acrylic crystal, but this one is in fantastic condition. All the hands and baton markers are the way that they should be. It's an absolutely gorgeous piece. Btw a 1601 or any 1600 rolex datejust doesn’t have a 3035 movement it has a 1570 a 3035 would be on a 16014, 16013, 16030, or 16000

Cal.3035 wasn't introduced until 1977 when the Datejust was updated to the 16013/16014. 3135 was introduced in 1988 when the Datejust was updated to the 16233/16234. Yours being a 1601 would have the cal. 1570

I have one bought new in 1972. Was serviced twice - still runs like new. Probably was worn regularly for thirty years. It’s been replaced with both a reference 126232 and a 126234. Love all of them.
