    Wonderful video. I was so into following you that I didn't notice the music in the background. I had to go back and listen to it again to see what folks were complaining about. Music isn't bad. It kind of makes me want to go faster with my stitches. Good choice. Look forward to watching other videos of yours. Thank you for taking time to teach us.

    You are holding your crochet thread/yarn exactly like my grandma taught me. I’m 76. She never read patterns but could copy anything even the finest of work. It is Dec. 2022 now. I realize this is older.❤

    Not perfect, but I wanted it written out for myself.
    Pattern Row 1: Ch 1, [Repeat: 7 DC in chain space, skip stitch, SC, skip stitch] SC into final stitch
    Pattern Row 2: Ch 4, Skip 3, SC 3, [Repeat: Ch 3, Skip 5, SC 3] at end Ch 1 and DC in last stitch on row.
    Pattern Row 3: Ch 3, 3 DC in chain space, skip stitch, SC , Skip Stitch, [Repeat: 7 DC in chain space, skip stitch, SC, skip stitch] at end 4 DC in last chain space
    Pattern Row 4: Ch 1, SC 2, Ch 3, [Repeat: Skip 5, SC 3, Ch 3 ] at end (after skip 5) SC in last stitch (it doesn't really look like the end, but just do it)

    I was wait8ng for a day when I felt like tackling a new stitch, thinking, for some reason, thayvit was difficult. OMG, it’s easy peasy. It’s basically a 7dc fan stitc with a few added stitches. It’s going to look amazing in a lightweight cardigan! Thank you so much! I could kiss you (just kidding, I’d have to settle for a virtual high five)!!

    I love this stitch. Even with extra chunky acrylic, soft yarn it still looks beautiful! Some stitches can get hidden when using the extra chunky yarns but this one is perfect for my project (white Unicorn blanket with hood)
    Thanks for such an easy to follow tutorial. May I suggest that you add the written pattern as a caption so us visual learners can also learn the pattern abbreviations too?.. Thanks :) xx

    multiples of 6 plus 2 for the chain.

  • @mellowangelfree
    @mellowangelfree 7 років тому +26

    are you sure it isn't a multiple of 6 +2 because no way do I end up with 5 chains with 6+1 ... and like say you do 19 go into the 18th chain... so you minus 2 for first sc so that's 16 then -3 you skip 13 left then -3 sc 10... -3 you skip 7 left... -3 sc ... 4 left... is this only me? am I wrong? I do go into the right chain when I turn too. but a 6 +1 no matter what the number DOES NOT LEAVE 5 CHAINS!! 6 + 2 does though.

    I so far have figured it out... For 24+1+1 turning chain, Instead of going into the 3rd stitch when skipping 3, chain 3..I go into the fourth, when skipping three, chain 3. Then I'm left with 5 at the end. But if I do 30 chain+1+1 turning chain, then I can go into the 3rd stitch when skipping 3 chaining 3.

      Hi Melanie! You might have to adjust the number of double crochets in the arcade stitch for when it is going around a corner, that way it will have enough length! Let us know how it works out! :)
