Just ready for this season to start I fully believe that OU is gonna shock people in the SEC. Too much disrespect being chattered about OU’s way and OU always plays best with something to prove. No early games so far is gonna be awesome as well actually getting to play prime time games instead of having to be the premier program an 11-12 for Fox killed us for years thanks Texas for sucking the last decade and a half.
The disrespect across the media towards BV and his team is complete dog 💩! It’s would be so sweet if Oklahoma came in and won the SEC in their first year! That’s all I want! For BV to get his flowers and for his team to celebrate as champions!! BOOMER
Oklahoma can legitimately be one of the top 15 teams in the country and still go 8-4 because the schedule is so brutal. But that schedule could be worse. Texas lost a ton of talent to the draft. Bama lost Saban. LSU went 9-3 with a Heisman winner that they no longer have. Mizzou and Tennessee still need to prove the strength of the programs. Ole Miss might turn out to be the scariest team on our schedule! A ranking of 15-20 feels right with the question marks we have.. I think ranking us behind LSU or Tennessee is kind of absurd. We may lose to LSU on the road but our roster is definitely better than theirs. We’re better than Missouri, too. 10-2 seems realistic to me, which would probably land us in the top 10 and in the playoff. I don’t think the O-line will be able to hold up against the best defensive fronts and the difference between 10-2 and 7-5 is just the difference between them being okay and them being good. The difference between 11-1 and 5-7 is the difference between Jackson Arnold playing like we believe he can, and playing like he did in the bowl game. We’re in that weird spot where we are so talented, yet the schedule is so tough, that it is a razor’s edge and can be just a matter of a few plays that decide whether we win 7 or 11 games.
I heard it straight from Teddy. We're going 12-0 in the regular season. 😉 We can win every game. 😃 I appreciate all you guys do to keep us informed. I hope you both had a blessed Memorial Holiday and many blessings to come.
This is the way I look at it, Oklahoma has better talent than Bob Stoops and Lincoln Riley had ever accumulated. I also believe the coaching staff is equally as talented as we have ever had at Oklahoma. The big question mark is the offensive line but they have been well recruited over the last three years and it is their time up anyway. When you keep bringing in kids from the transfers portal, you kind of forget you did recruit some dogs to play on the offensive line. Now it is their turn to demonstrate their capabilities. Inexperienced, raw, and eager to step up to the plate. Here is my only Bill Bedenbaugh is a great technician but your offensive linemen need to have some nastiest about them and play angrily with physicality. That is it in a nutshell. OU has elite wide receivers, running backs, and the tight ends have the potential to be great. With that being said, this could be a record breaking year for the offense as all cylinders come together. I remember when everyone was concerned about the wide receivers room and said wide receivers were the least of our problems, why did I say, their tape. Nobody is coming to Oklahoma without their body of work on tape. Just evaluating their videos. I am with Ted, I think we can beat anyone on the schedule, and I believe we could go undefeated and in the SEC. Just think the Oklahoma cannot lose to, 1) Texas, 2) Missouri 3) Ole Miss 4) Alabama and 5) LSU. The other seven teams we should beat. BOOMER SOONER 4 LIFE
YOUNG fan I take it. Stoops in particular and riley somewhat both put some damn talented teams on the field. How many of those 5 in norman? That trip to auburn will be an eyeopener for the sooners.
@@FredPitre-o4b Nope I grow up in the 1970s graduated highschool in 1976, and graduated college in 1980. Now, Switzer had high school All-Americans on the first, second, and third team. Brent Venable has recruited at a high level and has elite talent across the board.
OU will be better than expected. Most are listening to the chatter 🤦🏻♀️ 😮 chatter is chatter 🤷♀️ conditioning, coaching, talent will take OU farther than the mid-teens. Injuries, depth and schedule will determine how far. OU will be the surprise of the SEC 👍 we just need to play the games 😮 win 50 % or more of the top games. Win the ones OU should . The respect will follow 😮
Danny and Peyton were hurt in the ku and osu that was key . Plus best ku team 15 years and osu once the found the qb and rb were top 20 team. Bama beats Texas in Nov once there qb was settled . I just don’t think Texas is as good there Getting credit for mirage bama win and ou getting less credit for crazy bowl loss and that 3 really good def guys stayed
Bowl game showed take away few turnovers and only a few were JA fault . Ou got 600 yds had 6 to to 1 still got 600 yds only gave up 400 . That actually shows defense got lot of stops and ou just killed themselves . Ou had 6 turnover Gane every 5 years maybe . I don’t get the texas hype both going 9 and 3 this season
When you say there isn’t 16 teams better than Oklahoma, then turn around and shit on mizzou(I get it they’re weird) but how many teams are really better than them? I only say that because I have Mizzou beating OU this season personally, but what do I know 🤷♀️
The problem is the schedule. It will be hard to even stay ranked. The schedule is intrinsic to the rankings. Edit: what Gabe said! 😊 Sadly you will have far lesser teams ending up ranked over OU. That's just how it works and reality.
I thought you guys were gonna go the whole segment without the obligatory "We're better than Texas bc we won last year" hot take. You're not better than Texas, because of the RR game. Texas has been garbage and beat OU in that game and it didnt mean they were the better team. Based on what I'm hearing here, OU will be 11-1, play in the SEC championship game and wreck the CFP.
@buddyrye9190 You read my point. Any one can win that game, no matter the record. Doesn't mean the winner is better than the other team, they were that day probably. Texas and OU have won that game with inferior teams it happens. Don't know who you're calling a realist...you speaking for your whole fan base? Cause I've heard some outlandish predictions for your 2024 team. And you're making my point...there's not alot of separation, so to say definitively OU is better with all the questions they admittedly have is silly.
IMO Okla season will go the way that Jackson goes 😮

Truth on the others having a lesser schedule 😂 iron sharpens iron 🤷♀️
A 4-4 conference mark in this conference with that schedule with no other loses will put any team 15-20.

O- Line and Arnold must get things going early in the season before SEC play begins.
I’m not going to waste any time with USC. I will hopefully see where they lost each week.
Go from top dog in one conference to a nobody in another conference, that (sheesh)has really has really evolved.

I BELIEVE WE WILL END THE SEASON WITH 10 WINS AGAIN.
We lost the bowl game because of the two Farooq fumbles.

You're exactly correct, it's gonna come down to depth. I believe we have that.

There’s not a lot of separation between the 2 teams. We are realists so I’m not sure what your point is.
