- The Iron Heart IH-666s are the thickest pair of denim I own. The selvedge denim in these comes in at a nice and thick 21oz which has been so good for the colder months and moulds to your body over time. The fades so far have been minimal due to my use, though I expect them to fade with high contrast over the coming years. The IH-666s are a continuous production model from Iron Heart so come in stock often.

I have the 555 Super Slim 21oz and the quality and texture is amazing. Honestly more comfortable than a lighter weight denim.
I tried some 555's on over the weekend. Were quite nice in black. Think i need a pair hah
love the close up with the red W around 2:52. Great fade/contrast stitching/pocket/W.

Another good review mate, nice to see a few more shots with them on. I feel you get a better idea of fades outside, they never look as advanced under artificial light.

Ha ha, yeah I feel you there! Pretty cool you get to share all the clothes you’ve bought over the years with us, gives us some insight into how they will wear long term rather than out the box. Soon as Rivet & Hide open up I’ll be trying some IH’s on, not sure on the fit I’ll go with so need a bricks and mortar shop.
Thanks man, yeah always wanted to get info out there as it was never there when i was getting stuff. Though I am almost out of the old stuff. One more pair of jeans, a cardigan and that is about it hah. So I might calm down a bit :p Defo go see the guys. nothing beats trying the stuff on!

Nice review! I have a few follow up questions if you can help me in deciding on cut. You said that yours were unsanforized. Was that unique to 2014? I think the current 666's are all sanforized. Is that why you had to size up to 34 from your usual 32 waist size? Did they shrink down to 32? Thanks for your help.
Been binging the videos recently great content. If looking for new brands would suggest p&co high quality at lower price point. Also just bought a iron and resin hawk jacket. Great brand aswell. Keep going with videos

Ah yes, i get that click or loud sound on the heavier weights as you walk. It does it on my bravestar 21 & 25 oz. Thought i was the only one it happened to. Any way to prevent that excessive wear on the crotch area? Just got an Ironheart 21oz jacket yesterday and it is amazing. Feels bulletproof. Enjoyed your review. I'm planning to get another pair of Ironheart jeans and trying to decide which cut to get.

@@CameronO excellent and thorough review - yes I also experience the same “clicking” or crunchy fabric sound in the crotch on my 22oz IH…a bit embarrassing in a quiet office space I must admit. Thank you for creating great videos for the denim-head community.
@@CameronO Yep I get it too on my 17 oz PBJs! I thought it might be because I have fat thighs or I need a looser cut. Thanks for mentioning it in the video!

Hey there. Thanks buddy. I've not tried the 710. So its a bit tough to compare. I would say these 666's were altered. I had the leg opening taken in. They are a little wide otherwise.
Hey dude love your videos. So I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on a pair of these, would you recommend sizing down I’m normally a 32 waist. Have your jeans stretched out or should I go true to size ?

Cheers Sam. Personally I'd go true to size. But always check the measurements on the IH site. My pair were one of the first I ever bought and didn't really have a clue. They are 34 and are too big. I had them altered quite a bit to slim them down but they only just fit and always return to the original size. Maybe grab two sizes and return one?
Hey Sam, not to overstep here, but I went true to size. I own 666 21 oz and 634 slb. Both fit me true to size and haven’t really stretched in the waist. YMMV
@@CameronO Hi! Did it stretch a bit around the thighs? The 666 W30 fits perfect except the thighs a bit too small :)

They're in the process of producing a heavy slub denim at the moment. Have a look on their forums.

IH do free repairs if you email them - might be worth it when your crotch goes or if you want to get the pocket bags sorted..

is this traight tapered fit? if so, whats the difference in slim tapered fit? thanks
It's more straight than tapered. I actually am not sure what IH say about it. IT certainly isn't their most slimmest pair. I did have these altered I think i mentioned to make them fit me a lot better. But for winter I like a less tight pair..
Do you think i can wear the 25 oz version comfortably in the San Diego climate? 70 F year-round
From personal experience with 25 oz and 21 oz IH jeans, and being a CA boy, for the money spent, if you want heavy denim, I think you'll have a better experience with the 21oz. I moved to Boise ID three years ago and I'm finally getting some good use out of my 25oz 666.
What size are you in Levi’s and what size did you settle with in these?
Hey mate, embarrassed to say I've never owned a pair of Levi's so not sure how they fit. With these If i had to buy again I would go a size down. I think these are 34. Though id love to try another type. 777's maybe

No one has the post soak size chart but they said they can shrink an inch and stretch an inch so the iron heart size chart is basically post soak

How do these fit on the waist Cameron?
I’m looking on getting some 666 duck canvas jeans. It says on the website that they are a low/mid rise. I’m a bit concerned with the low bit of that.
I don’t want them low on my hip (kinda mooning when you bend over)😉. I think this is why I haven’t pulled the trigger on a pair yet. I do have a pair of 555s, these fit great!
Hey mate, to be honest I can't say they have ever bothered me. Certainly no mooning hah. Remember though i think i had the taper brought in. thought the rise wouldn't have changed. Try them on, size well and I don't think you'll have a problem. I really want to try the 555 on. Loads of ppl seem to love them and I think of the shelf will be a better fit for me.

Regarding the 555’s, I’m sure you’d love them, they are ‘super slim’ but they are not painted on slim. The one thing where they may not be for you, would be if you have thick thighs. I love the feel of the denim, like yours, mine are their signature 21oz so not a summer jean like you said.

Hey Alex, I believe they may have been slightly altered, but I can't really remember. They're quite old and back then I didn't really care or take note of what I did to them. Wish I did! Though going by what I had done to all my others then I assume these may have been done too.
