'And remember folks to buy Rosa Wine and War Bonds. ' Wow, these broadcasts take you to an america that no longer exists. The adverts are typical of that 'culture'. I am not mocking because that was 80 years ago.
@@katandpapa Well I am 70 years old and must admit I prefer those simpler times. However, rule 1 with Time is you cannot go back. Its called 'Progress' or 'Going Forward'. Us oldies have to shrug it off (wish we were back in the good old days..) Otherwise (at the extreme) you get the likes of Putin with the new Russian Reich.. 'What do we do until we die?' (You did ask..) Well, if we have friends enjoy their company. At some point they all go. And when alone, there are always stories. And of course there is the old 'All that love must suffer.' If alone after a loved one had died that is obvious. However, the grief has to be worth it as maybe that is who we see at our own death. So Death really is a friend; the best one. And until that day, enjoy yourself and the world you see. Right - thought for the day over - back to another story..
The scariest thing in the 40's to 70's was the nagging wife of a castrated husband. 9/10 radio mysteries apparently had a plot that revolved around them.
Thank you!

It is good to hear and see examples encouraging mutual assistance.
