I thoroughly enjoyed this: and it’s so of it’s time!! I visited in 1980, a glorious couple of weeks, incl visiting Sigiriya, a truly remarkable outcrop and attendant history. Thank you 😃
This play is set before 22 May 1972 when Ceylon became the Republic of Sri Lanka. This one is really worth a listen! blend of technology, culture, religion. The racism and sexism we so often see in these otherwise brilliant old plays isn't too bad in this one. The voices are easy to distinguish, there are twists and turns, and the ending is satisfying. I listen to so many of these old plays, this is one of the best
Synopsis: The place is Ceylon, now Sri Lanka. An airplane flying in a severe monsoon storm crashes just prior to landing. After an investigation the authorities quickly find the cause to be pilot error. But this plane was carrying a large shipment of gold, which has disappeared. It's up to a British aircraft accident investigator working alone to determine what really happened.

Strange that being an ex-London cab, it would break down from wet distributor-leads, as the engine sounded like a diesel just like every London taxi!
Excellent story! Many thanks for posting 👏👏👏👏👏👍😊

One of the worst. Hard to understand, poorly directed and awful sound effects. Don't waste your time.
