Ray, That is a really nice desert car. Attempting to swap my chinese engine of my buggy to a motorcycle engine. First time for me to do this swap. Your video is inspiring to motivate me even more.
Invest in a helmet, even a cheap one will reduce the likelihood of injury in the unfortunate case of your head meeting part of the cage ;-) Nice build!
Hard to put something that cool together without A LOT of help from other talented fab guys (friends/fam) hope you appreciate that bud...great job to all of you!
I wanted too but A bussa engine was way more expensive . And had another car with the same engine I liked it and figured it be best to keep them all the same
@@raymiranda7507 Did you come up with the cage design? If so you should draw up plans for the single and make plans for a two seat version of this using a Busa and sell them. I really like the cage structure, no dead tubes, suspension geometry seems to be right and looks fairly simple to build!
I want to like for what you built but want to dislike for the music covering up the engine sound. I'm surprised you used rod ends to connect your knuckles to the A-arms. In the orientation you have them I wouldn't have thought the balls could rotate far enough for good steering angles, but it seems to work. The reason they don't normally recommend you use rod ends in lieu of ball joints is that rod ends have a tendency to snap at the necks when you give them a bending load. It's awesome build, though! Really tidy and looks like it works well.
Hi Ray, I hope you are well. I saw several time your videos on your tube about your famous motorcycle powered sand rail. Congratulations that's a realy nice job. I like your creation. I would like to make also myself one desert buggy but with two seats maybe you could help me. Could you accept to sale me your buggy drawings ?
question at 0:54 the tool your using looks like a burring machine/ bead roller did you make this tool? id like some more info on it if possible, thanks. also awesome build im gather all the info i can before I start my single seater build.
Erik Brown yea it's a bead roller I made . top roller is on a sealed bearings to alow it to roll free with the pressure applied since I didn't gear it to the lower one
thats bad ass I just recently had the idea to go ahead and build my own buggy with a Hayabusa engine trying to find as much info as possible but I'm kind of hung up on the final drive as to CV axle sockets and a final drive sprocket size any help would be greatly appreciated again that is a bad ass buggy
gear doun as low as possible for sand . I'm running a 13 front sprocket and a 70 rear. buy a good chain. "Sidewinder sprockets " is the best chain I've ran so far and they can make any size sprocket you want . I make the chain drive asembly it uses 930 cvs , hub plates and spindles to . here is my email mail if you have any other questions ray_bmx13@hotmail.com
what did you use for a rear end? I haven't started building mine yet just curious most of the mini sand rails I have seen on here have had one similar to yours.
I used a latestrage micro stub hub and plates I developed for chain adjustment that utilizes a tatum 2 piston brake caliper. I make front spindels too and hub arm plates if you need
ray miranda appreciate you getting back to me I'm between jobs and not workin on it at this time but I will contact you on here when I get to work on it
Do you have the front suspension plans by chance I have a dwarf car I'm making into a desert buggy just need the front suspension plans your the closest thing i have found that I'm looking for
+ray miranda como lo patentaste bajo que grupo como auto/moto/cuatriciclo? esa es mi duda porque le veo la patente o es de alguna otra cosa y le pusiste la patente hay?
I'm looking at building something like this with an r1 motor but I'm stumped on the whole driveline part. what's the part called that the chain connects too?
thanks everyone for all the views and comments. . recently getting my sockets from sidewinder now .they make a great product and are good people . I should be putting up new videos soon . I build chain drive plates and spindles if anyone needs
