I'm currently building a mini dune buggy with a 2005 r1 engine I got for $450 with tons of extras. The frame I'm using is a heavily modified Murray Gokart frame... Let's just say total weight should be under 500 pounds all said and done.
Roughly how much have you spent to build such dune buggy?, I want to build one since they look lots of fun, I currently have 10k to play with but done know nothing much about fabrication let alone putting a r1 engine on a “sand rail” 😂
I have two king cars and know the sound of these engines very well running on all 4 or 3 with a bad plug. Put new plugs in it. . Sounds like it's missing on one cylinder to me. It has tons of power with 3 so it kind of fools you but with all 4 they rip.

Get rid of the music, also drop some of the spring preload.
What did you get thr axles out of in the rear?
Where did you buy the rear axles with the sprocket set up
It’s all custom made from a quad rear end I think your best bet for finding one search short cars there’s a couple buggy shops out there
