Fix the freaking intermittent on-off, on-off, on-off inundation of rain events; a better AI ATC platform that is more realistic; as stated better processing optimization!!!
The reason I like X Plane is that most all of the airports are done well, and you don't have to pay for them. And you don't need 445 updates to make it feel like a real airplane. And the ground equipment is great and don't have to pay for that either. And Cody airport looks right on you go into this airport in FS 2020 it is not even close to the real one. I pick small airports most of the time it tells you a lot about the sim.
I really hope LR honour their promise, especially live weather - this is beyond broken, flight model still needs tweaking, dark cockpits, and it would be nice to have the sun improved, so it's not just a white disk in the sky. Apart from that, I'm looking forward to it
X-plane needs geographically correct autogen and 2024 mesh density to match real-world navigational data (try landing in St Barth in X_Plane 12 vs MSFS) The topic is being discussed and ignored as usual.
this update is taking its sweet time! i hope it lives up to the hype because i really would love to lovee x-plane but its just a secondry to fly my 767/757 .. a340 and MD-11 ATM
There is so many rudimentary things that need to be fixed, that have not been right since 12.00. Also, Laminar needs to get over their fixation on shadows on water.
Gotta fix the clouds, anti-aliasing, shimmering, overly hilly runways, and it would be great if they get the volumetric lighting effects going and how this intersects with lights in fog, clouds, especially at night. XP12 has been my heart, but a lot of these things have killed it for me. I spend a lot of time on MSFS lately.
12.0.9 is looking better with the clouds, but sometimes a patch of clouds somewhere still looks a bit blocky. I like the list of additions you've described. (ツ) ☕☕(ツ)
I did...lol went straight. to pc and update only to realize no update, wish they were using unreal engine to upgrade graphics, yeah the minecraft graphics killing me,but whatever looking fwd. Great explanation, nice video.
MSAA is nothing to do with AI technology, neither is it to do with polygons. Still hoping for a decent improvement as it X-Plane currently looks jagged on a 2K
@@flightsimguides When talking about the polygons we refer to the number of polygons used to build an objects itself. The number of polygons of a model are fixed once the model has been exported for use in the simulator. Referring to your analogy, the difference in blockyness of the objects from one console to the next is due to the increase in poly count of a given object as more computing power becomes available.
Not my circus, not sure…. But I come from a world where software development is a big part of it. That said…. It’ll be updated when it’s updated and not a moment sooner….
Long story short, XP is joining the photography (screenshot priority) bandwagon that MSFS started, and aviation takes a back seat...again. Flight simulation/aviation realism continues to die slowly. I wonder how many XP fans will be fooled by this like the masses of MSFS fans did and continue to. Suddenly the physics won't matter much, but screenshots will be of the upmost importance.... watch and see. 🤢🤮
I came to a similar conclusion: MSFS killed the flightsim-community. At the same time i know that LR have other priorities and are putting much more efforts into aviation-stuff than M$F$ that addresses the masses of casual-gamers who care only AI-generated rocks and cockpit-texture-resolution lol.
@@frankbyteMSFS killed the flight sim community? Get out of here. Fenix is the best 320 there has ever been. Soon to be the best 319 & 321. @@johnmaguire2185 We already discussed that several times, didn‘t we? To take full advantage of CFD you would need a NASA-computer. In a desktop-sim it is very limited. What are you most looking forward to in X-Plane 12?
a new engine that use all cores of our CPU is the priority, even with the most advance CPU whe're CPU bottleneck
The Better performance and the background Blur
If the A330’s avionics system could better, that is great
MGS1-jm8sp yea I didn’t realize how much the dark cockpits bothered me until I heard it a few times here. Seems like a strange issue to have to fix.

I’m looking forward to getting rid of the shimmers, I’m also looking forward cockpits that aren’t so dark I can’t read them half the time.
I feel like xp12 is more loosey goosey on the controls compared to xp11…. They could tighten things up a bit. Imo.
The shimmering trees and weird looking taxiway lines kills it for me. I spend most time on fs2020

I hope they really optimize it for Silicon Macs.
I hope they optimize for Apple Vision Pro
Yeah, they have been talking about improving the multi threading for a while but instead we get GPU intensive eye candy… fail.

That’s called Minecraft clouds as big square clouds. 😮😊
I’m getting sick and tired of always flying and then the AP suddenly disconnects for no reason at all I hope they fix that.

What model Chinooks did you operate? My father built the D, E, F and G models.
Flew D models from 2008 to 2018…. Almost transitioned to F but retired instead.
