I have a question about the tyranids. Considering they continuously evolve wouldn't they eventually discard certain troops that they find irrelevant and unable to make a mark. In terms of better more dangerous creatures over time meaning old names would disappear in favor of newer creatures?
I did not know that the demons inside the engine suffrs horribly, but with all the pain and suffering going on the galaxy it is refreshing to see it happen to something that truly deserves it.
Can you truly say that a being deserves suffering for its nature alone ? A demon doesn't cause pain because he's mean or anything but because that is the purpose put onto it by those who manifested it into reality through their prayers. Like with guns, a demon is not to blame for the acts of its operator.
The best daemon engine is clearly the Lord of Skulls. Some Khornate Warpsmith decided "I want to make a tank that can melee!" And then he did it... by sticking basically a knight torso on top of a pair of treads and powering it with blood... I don't know how he managed it, but damned if its not amazing.
The Lord of Skulls is obviously based off the old Epic small titan sized Lord of Battles. The Lord of Skulls looks like an updated version but maybe without the extra shielding the Lord of Battles had or maybe even more shielded. Lord of Battles had psychic nullification and physical damage reduction ward spells implanted in/on it to make it a damage soaking monster able to take on much larger titans (the emperor class titans being the main model titan of the game system among all the various vehicles). Also having heavy range weapons with nasty melee weapons (it is of Khorne). On top of that both vehicles have a greater daemon Bloodthirster shoved into them. Always wondered what happened to the Lord of Battles and didn’t realize that it was updated and pretty much renamed Lord of Skulls. They had another vehicle that had a skull name (Skull tower? Tower of Skulls?) that was pretty much a tank with a tower of skulls on it to empower the Khorninite troops and vehicles while tossing the limited Khorne allowed spells (pretty much to increase blood thirst, rage, the range of troops to sprint into enemy forces to engage in melee combat, and the melee damage while ignoring some wounds, no moral breaks and retreats while forcing moral checks on enemy forces almost instantly and every turn while in the radius of the vehicle). Also like the “true grit” ability of older space wolves it allowed for troops to use shooting weapons while engaged in melee. Which especially helps if your heavy weapons squads somehow get in melee. On top of everything when the Lord of Battles gets killed you had a great chance that it would explode into a huge vortex explosion taking out (to at the very least causing heavy damage to titans) when the vortex explosion sucking a quarter to half the battlefield into the warp goes off. Which pretty much always made my previously laughing opponent start whining when all their titans and bulk of their army instantly disappear into a vortex after they killed my Lord of Battle while talking that good shi…..um stuff.
What's even more awesome, in my opinion, is that bloodthirsters will actually enjoy being put into a KLoS sometimes. They love the destructive power it brings and the fact it allows them to remain in realspace indefinitely

38:59 The term "Motive Force" was likely taken from "Electro-Motive Force", which is an archaic term for Voltage, which was wrongly believed to be a force for centuries, and the term "Electro-Motive Force" (usually abbreviated to EMF) is still sometimes used by electrical engineers when calculating Inductance as a useful shorthand for how Currents and Voltages interact wth nearby wires and coils, so the "Motive Force" is almost certainly just modern electricity with a fancy and suitably archaic name for 40k's setting.

Can't help but feel that when the demon engine creation ritual is enacted in the Eye of Terror the Chaos Sorcerer and Dark Apostle has the easiest jobs. Less ripping the fabric of reality open and enticing a demon through, more point and shouting "Oi you, yeah you with the multiple eyes and horns, come here".

If/when the Dark Mechanicum becomes a faction, I think I found my first army. I just resonate more with them as a faction; a group that sought innovation but was shunned and pushed further and further into more profane experimentation to survive.
I think that will never happen they are not that important in the grand Scheme of things, But you can easily Kitbash some just use the demon engins games Workshop makes and the normal Mechanicum. And change the painting scheme....

Release the Heldrakes. My personal demon engine would be an over sized Heldtake that’s one part air combat vehicle and one part troop transport known as the Helwyverm, Chaos Marines can travel in them without getting consumed by them. They’re armed with more ranged weapons and are able to crawl on the ground in a terrifying manner.

I would love to see demon engines shaped like other mythical beasts like Chimerae, possessed automata (Chaos androids, anyone?), or something incomprehensible-looking like a weaponized bucket-wheel excavator.
Defilers were so great when they were first introduced. They were the only "swiss army knife" vehicle of the game, from Games Workshop at least. They were effective at long range, medium range, and melee. Most vehicles, even Dreadnoughts were only either effective at vehicles or soldiers, not both unless they give up their melee weapons. Then you had every other Imperial machine which couldn't handle close combat, and were *better* at each individual role but meant you had dedicated vehicles for each role that the defiler filled by default. It wasn't the most powerful by *ANY* stretch, but it was the most versatile for the evolving battlefields of the time. What I loved about Soul Grinders when they were introduced was they took the multitool approach and dialled it up to be even more effective at each separate role.
I am watching this cause I am currently about to finish my Venom Crawler. I named her Valorie. All Daemon engines are adorable and should be cuddled, by me. They're just so cute.

I always wanted to build a Skaven-like 40k army simply because they would totally make something like this! They always had a thing in using warp magic in their war machine and even created mutations so it wouldn’t be too far fetched. Sure 40k doesn’t have the use of Warp-stone but that could be easily converted into demon forging. I mean a chaos demon fed warp lightning cannon would be an insane conversion

The defilier was the first awesome looking engine I saw in dawn of war 1 before I even knew what Warhammer was, so the defilier also holds a special place in my heart.

I would love to see the dark Mechanicus get their own army, or at least some sort of auxiliary/subfaction to accompany the chaos space marines. They show up all the time in the lore, they should get their time to shine as a full army.
One of my favourite anecdotes about mauler and forge fiends is that they have been observed to work together with animalistic cunning, not fully thinking yet still coordinating to cover each others weaknesses.
I remember the term "Daemon Engine" being brought up to me when I was cruising in the zeitgeist of 40k. After seeing such horrors, I fell paulodrons first into the grimdarkness of the setting.

The Dark Mechanicum/Vashtor having a Warp Train powered by a Khorne Bloodthirster, with rails being generated before the rift appears, would be pretty cool. *Ala; Palladium RIFTS, TW Iron Horse
I think a cool design for a daemon engine would be based off a snake. Something akin to a Venom Crawler but instead of bloating up for a bulbous shape, they elongate, forming sections that twist and writhe with a flat topped head similar to a cobra that has extended fangs meant to punch through a vehicles armor and deliver gouts of disolving acids and bubbling promethium to the trapped crews within. Also, admit it. You want a mini of a giant metallic cobra wrapped around an Ultramarine as it prepares to bite their head off.
Would that be a slaanesh daemon engine? Side note, idea: a spider daemon engine that does something similar, but sucks out the residue to distil in its thorax.
@@elijahhayter3026 I rather think it'd be cool if it was Tzeentch, snakes are commonly known for their deciet and are regularly shown as sorcerous companions. It doesn't match the normal bird motif but for the other reasons I think it still works.

I'm with you on the tie between helldrakes and forgefiends, but I think if I have to pick, I would choose helldrakes. I've always been fascinated by dragons.
Now I’m curious. What would happen if someone built a daemon-engine-suit, summoned a daemon into it, and DIDN’T break its will &/or make it suffer? Would it essentially become like a C’Tan in necrodermis, a godlike entity of the material realm with near infinite power fueled by the warp?
I think that gw should have pertirabo have a giant mech suit powered by deamons. Like each god sent him an emissary and he captured each and use them for different parts of his suit. Like a khorn deamon as his shield and a tzeechian deamon as his teleport homer. Just to mess with each god.
Dark Mechanicum faction in Tacticus? Adeptus Mechanicus Vs Dark Mechanicum campaign in Tacticus? The Dark Mechanicum might not have a book of their own, but maybe a campaign from their perspective could be a good start.
My favorite would be the mauler fiends. I like them enough that i commissioned one of the pieces of artwork you used in this video, the warpsmith with the spear and the two mauler fiends. I always get a little excited when i see my character in a lore video
i want a story about nurgle demon engine with a unique twist that the demon actually wanted to become one and enjoys it (in a nurgle way), because it allows it to stay in material universe and spread gifts. Some unique model like demonic brewing couldron which travels around the galaxy, collects samples pleasing to nurgle, cooking something inside it before releasing it on a planet, only to repeat the process again.
I personally dislike your Short Form content (it's clearly for children with super short attention span, and not for me) but i Love your Long Form Content. Especially all the mystery stories. Keep doing what you do now man, you are doing great 👍
I'm not sure what wirewolfs are supposed to be, but from all of the daemonic stuff, they are my favourites. After reading "Volpone glory", I was amazed by them, and I would be happy, if we could get a little bit of lore explaining on them.
I'd like to see someone take chaos stuff but do a little home brew to make it very much the opposite of chaos, Feathery ornate holy-drakes, Purifilers, and Heaven Engines. They could still mostly function the same, their weapons functioning similarly, just with a more "good" rebranding.

I love the Forgefiend the most of the ones covered. Apart from that I like Decimators. They are alien robots with a daemon inside. Or the Slinnar war machine, which is a suicide vest which turns its user into a living flame capable of burning everything but at the cost of them being unable to experience anything resembling human proximity anymore. I want more Chaos Knight, Chaos Titan & Dark Mechanicum PoVs. They are more interesting than any other faction to me.
The fiend chassis are straight metal - and from a kitbashing view that kit is top tier. Lorewise, the Helldrake is about as grimdark as you can get... and also: Its a Jet... that is a dragon... a dragonjet that shrieks like Bruce Dickinson.
My favourite daemon engine would probably be Skull Reaper - a bit bigger than a warhound titan, and built to look like a bloodthirster. It holds a competition every eight years on the planet Cho'unda in the Screaming Vortex that's basically Robot Wars but for daemon engines. I used to enjoy that show.

I think that will never happen they are not that important in the grand Scheme of things, But you can easily Kitbash some just use the demon engins games Workshop makes and the normal Mechanicum. And change the painting scheme....

My personal demon engine would be an over sized Heldtake that’s one part air combat vehicle and one part troop transport known as the Helwyverm, Chaos Marines can travel in them without getting consumed by them. They’re armed with more ranged weapons and are able to crawl on the ground in a terrifying manner.
I imagine it’d be so large, that loose plating resembling a rib cage could serve as the cabin for the troops.

Defilers were so great when they were first introduced. They were the only "swiss army knife" vehicle of the game, from Games Workshop at least. They were effective at long range, medium range, and melee. Most vehicles, even Dreadnoughts were only either effective at vehicles or soldiers, not both unless they give up their melee weapons. Then you had every other Imperial machine which couldn't handle close combat, and were *better* at each individual role but meant you had dedicated vehicles for each role that the defiler filled by default. It wasn't the most powerful by *ANY* stretch, but it was the most versatile for the evolving battlefields of the time. What I loved about Soul Grinders when they were introduced was they took the multitool approach and dialled it up to be even more effective at each separate role.
I am watching this cause I am currently about to finish my Venom Crawler. I named her Valorie.

I always wanted to build a Skaven-like 40k army simply because they would totally make something like this! They always had a thing in using warp magic in their war machine and even created mutations so it wouldn’t be too far fetched. Sure 40k doesn’t have the use of Warp-stone but that could be easily converted into demon forging. I mean a chaos demon fed warp lightning cannon would be an insane conversion

I would love to see the dark Mechanicus get their own army, or at least some sort of auxiliary/subfaction to accompany the chaos space marines. They show up all the time in the lore, they should get their time to shine as a full army.
One of my favourite anecdotes about mauler and forge fiends is that they have been observed to work together with animalistic cunning, not fully thinking yet still coordinating to cover each others weaknesses.

The Dark Mechanicum/Vashtor having a Warp Train powered by a Khorne Bloodthirster, with rails being generated before the rift appears, would be pretty cool.

I think a cool design for a daemon engine would be based off a snake. Something akin to a Venom Crawler but instead of bloating up for a bulbous shape, they elongate, forming sections that twist and writhe with a flat topped head similar to a cobra that has extended fangs meant to punch through a vehicles armor and deliver gouts of disolving acids and bubbling promethium to the trapped crews within.
Also, admit it. You want a mini of a giant metallic cobra wrapped around an Ultramarine as it prepares to bite their head off.
Would that be a slaanesh daemon engine?
Side note, idea: a spider daemon engine that does something similar, but sucks out the residue to distil in its thorax.
@@elijahhayter3026 I rather think it'd be cool if it was Tzeentch, snakes are commonly known for their deciet and are regularly shown as sorcerous companions. It doesn't match the normal bird motif but for the other reasons I think it still works.

Now I’m curious. What would happen if someone built a daemon-engine-suit, summoned a daemon into it, and DIDN’T break its will &/or make it suffer? Would it essentially become like a C’Tan in necrodermis, a godlike entity of the material realm with near infinite power fueled by the warp?
I think that gw should have pertirabo have a giant mech suit powered by deamons. Like each god sent him an emissary and he captured each and use them for different parts of his suit. Like a khorn deamon as his shield and a tzeechian deamon as his teleport homer. Just to mess with each god.

My favorite would be the mauler fiends. I like them enough that i commissioned one of the pieces of artwork you used in this video, the warpsmith with the spear and the two mauler fiends.

i want a story about nurgle demon engine with a unique twist that the demon actually wanted to become one and enjoys it (in a nurgle way), because it allows it to stay in material universe and spread gifts. Some unique model like demonic brewing couldron which travels around the galaxy, collects samples pleasing to nurgle, cooking something inside it before releasing it on a planet, only to repeat the process again.

I'd like to see someone take chaos stuff but do a little home brew to make it very much the opposite of chaos, Feathery ornate holy-drakes, Purifilers, and Heaven Engines. They could still mostly function the same, their weapons functioning similarly, just with a more "good" rebranding.

I want more Chaos Knight, Chaos Titan & Dark Mechanicum PoVs. They are more interesting than any other faction to me.
The fiend chassis are straight metal - and from a kitbashing view that kit is top tier. Lorewise, the Helldrake is about as grimdark as you can get... and also: Its a Jet... that is a dragon... a dragonjet that shrieks like Bruce Dickinson.
Helldrake flies over the war field blaring Number of the Beast to the sadistic glee of Sonic Marines who break out in spontaneous air guitar ;p
My favourite daemon engine would probably be Skull Reaper - a bit bigger than a warhound titan, and built to look like a bloodthirster. It holds a competition every eight years on the planet Cho'unda in the Screaming Vortex that's basically Robot Wars but for daemon engines. I used to enjoy that show.
