I appears the humans are not very intelligent. Trying to decide if they should help them or afraid they will attack. They arrived asking for help, if they wanted to attack they would have and there was nothing they could do to stop them.
Perhaps the moral of the story was a little over enforced.Who am kidding,moralising rubbish.
