As much as I love your beautiful fabrics, even the batiks; if I had my choices, I would pick calicoes. They are not so bold and modern for me. They are simple and easy going and calming. Really appreciate your explanations and knowledge you share. Thank you! As always, enjoyed watching your video!
I thought modern quilts had to have harsh geometric patterns and bland, solid colors. To me, modern-quilt is like jumbo-shrimp. Just didn't go together. You really helped me to understand them better, so thank you for that. I am not a fan of most batiks though. There are some that are very muted and I like those. I like novelty prints and children's fabrics. I think it's the brighter colors.
